Chapter 19 - Profiting

Within 20 minutes of the armour being listed up on the market, Alex had sent the entire forum into chaos.

It was safe to say that everyone wanted a piece of the pie. Even smaller groups and mercenary groups wanted in on the action. At the end of the day, Alex had only listed a small number of products on the market if they missed out on this chance they surely would blame themselves later.

"Look, someone just bid 16 gold."

"Wait! Who is that? Omg, wait that's Ghost hand, number 16 on the city rankings right now."

"Word has it that he got lucky and has a demonic technique and can assassinate anyone. Every guild has secretly been paying him big bucks to kill off their rivals."

"No wonder he has so much gold to compete with them face to face."

All a while this was taking place Alex was relaxing across the street in the opposing building watching the big named players come down and enter the auction hall.

"Hmmm, Ghost hand huh. His name doesn't ring any bells. Looks like he didn't do anything too big in my previous life. That or he was deeply hidden."

"Anyways it's been 2 days I should check how much I made from selling the starter pack information."

Going on to the forum, Alex refreshed his page and looked at his followers count. It had reached a staggering 724k. Which was more than he expected. Of course, this was only the start as the game grew and more people were introduced he could grow this number and profit from his following.

That said he was satisfied with this number as it was still the early days and he knew for a solo player to gather this much attention wasn't seen anywhere else.

"Now then, how many sales did my post come to?"

Looking down at the number Alex nearly screamed out in-game as he tried to keep his cool. 1.26 million sales combined.

Whatttt.

Only one thought passed through Alex's mind.

'I'M RICH BABY!'

It worked out to nearly 8 million CP in real-world currency once it got transferred and he received tax. Which for now was still a huge sum of money. For his grand plans, it was a drop in the bucket but for not even a week passing from his rebirth, this number was more than acceptable.

"Looks like I can change my family's situation and upgrade a few things. Oh and buy the necessary tools to get my body in the real world back to optimum performance. Any way this can wait for later."

Finishing up the meal inside the game Alex walked back into the auction hall as the final biddings for the first round of equipment was starting to take place.

"Ares guild just walked in, look, look, that's the guild leader Rose. What a beauty."

"Look that's scarlet as well."

"Feisty!"

Just as the excitement was boiling over everyone heard a voice sound from the back of the room.

"This equipment will end u in our Shadow Guild's hands. Anyone that bids will become an enemy to us. So please give us face this time and we will definitely remember this favour."

Immediately many people gave up on the idea of putting in a bid. Although the item was near godlike for an early game to a tank. Pissing off a second rate guild was a near-death sentence.

"Hmph, you Shadow Guild scum get more and more big-headed." Scarlet voiced her complaints openly with disdain in her voice. Seemingly looking down on the group.

"Ares guild bids 32 gold."

"You really want to make an enemy out of us Shadow Guild?" Hunter the voice from earlier retorted.

"A mere entry second rate guild dares to be so arrogant. Huh, you really are frogs in a well."

Although Ares guild also was a second rate guild, there were talks that behind the scene their actually guild power, was on par with first-rate guilds now that they crossed over in TWOD.

"If it's a war you want, we Ares guild have never been afraid of one. Now if you're not bidding we will thank you in advance."

"Haha, the shadow guild will remember this. Bid 34 gold."

"Bid 35 gold rose said in a sweet yet icy voice that gathered the attention of most males in the room."

"Fine you win this time but do note you have made an enemy out of us for purposely bringing shame." Hunter voiced out in anger as he gave up the bidding in the closing seconds.

"Hmph, you value yourself too highly young master." replied rose as she emphasised the words 'young master' poking fun at the fact that he wasn't really a pro player but instead used his real-world influence to get the things he wanted in-game.

Everyone in the room gasp at the remark underneath their breath they didn't realise how entertaining the bidding for the first batch of item pieces would be.

2 guilds nearly started an all-out war for them.

Time passed and all the items Alex listed up finally got bought out for a price of 30-36 pieces of gold.

Which was double the price he thought they were going to be bought for. Not that he paid attention to that if he got more he was happy with that.

For the next 30 pieces, he listed up a buyout price of 40 gold and set the time to 2 hours as he left the auction hall.

Once again causing a storm.

"Look there are more chest plates that just got listed up."

Meanwhile, Alex went back to the blacksmithing guild and paid off his debt for borrowing materials. Now he was left with a staggering number of gold.

1017 gold.

Yes that's right 1000 gold. He was without a doubt the richest player in the game. That went for guilds and gold faring groups as well.

Completely insane.
