You Remembered my Name

Class ended and I packed up my stuff. The rest of the day was quick. All today was just the teachers telling us how the school year is gonna be. The end of school bell rang and everyone got up to rush out the door. I usually wait a few so I don't have to push and shove my way out the door. I walked out to walk to the front of the school to get picked up. I see the girls over flowing in the bathroom trying to touch up their make up or fix their hair in the mirror before going home.

I walk out and see Erica stand outside with her head buried in her phone like always.

"Hey Erica! What are you doin?"

Her ears lifted up to see who was calling her.

"Oh hey jess whatcha doin?"

"nothin much, just waiting to get picked up, you?"

"I'm just talkin to this guy, he's really cute." she said with her tail swaying

"I swear your boy is crazy."

"Whatever, at least I can be a partner you're still in the friend zone" she looked at me with an evil smirk.

"hey!"

We both heard a loud honk.

"well that's me see you tomorrow jess"

"yeah see you"

I go and sit on the grass and take out my phone. I scroll through my phone looking at my notifications on insta-cat. Nothing really catches my eye so I just sit there bored while people are getting picked up. I lay down on the freshly cut grass with my hands behind my head. I watch the clouds as they slowly move across the sky. I wish I was a cloud they have no worries and go with the wind. I hear someone walking towards me. I look to my left and see alana walking to me. She sits down next to me

"Hi jesse"she smiled

She remembered my name! I'm literally screaming and panicking in my head right now. SHE REMEMBERS MY NAME!!!!

"Hey, I didn't think you would remember my name"I gave a nervous laugh.

"why wouldn't I?"

"I thought you would have better things to do, you know like hanging out with your friends or something"

"well you are my friend now and I remember all of my friends names"
