Red Eyes

"We need to talk about you and Alana" my dad started speaking in a tone where I knew he was going to give me a long-ass lecture. I just sat up straight and focused my eyes on his forehead so I wouldn't have to look into his eyes. He has the darkest red eyes I've ever seen, I mean for a handsome man my dad is very stern and shows little to no emotion. He's handsome but scary so I would rather look at his forehead than his eyes. Fun fact when you look at someone's forehead to them it looks like you are giving them your full attention and looking into their eyes.

"What about Alana and I?"

"I don't want you to get too intimate with her, it can ruin us"

"I don't understand, do you want me to stop talking to her?" I said with a little worry and panic in my voice.

"What your father means to say is take things slow and easy love," she said to cut me and my dad off. But then again I've been having a crush on her for 2 years now and you tell me to take it slow, bruh.

I crossed my arms and slumped down in my chair, "So what do you want me to do? Do you want me to be rude to her instead of being "intimate with her"? All that happened is that I was comforting her and we both got tired and knocked out on the bed." I did leave out why she was crying tho because they don't need to know.

"I understand but still Mr. Chavez could see you as a threat to his daughter's reputation," he said with a calm and collected but annoyed voice.

"You act like I'm a bad son or I'm some horrible student, I'm in the top 5 in all my classes!" I kind of raised my voice when I said that. I knew that was a mistake when I looked at him. His eyes turned blood red and looked like he was ready to strike.

"YOU HAVE BEEN A DISAPPOINTMENT! YOU AREN'T IN ANY SPORTS AND YOU ACT LIKE A PUSSY!" He said with a deep growl in his voice. He rarely raises his voice but when he does its never ends up good. I could feel my ears move down and my tail goes between my legs.

"I-I 'm s-sorry..." I couldn't help but stutter while speaking to him.

He got up and went around the table and grabbed me by the shirt and lifted me off my chair and threw me across the kitchen. I couldn't do anything to defend myself because if I did it would have been much worse, so I took it and let him blow off his steam. I could see my mom in the corner of my eye and she stood up and ran to my aid.

She looked back at him, "STOP PLEASE HE'S ONLY A BOY!" I can see tears rolling down her face.

"AND A BOY HE WILL STAY HE WILL NEVER BE A MAN!" then he stormed off to their room and slammed the door behind him that made the house shake a little.

"Mom I'm fine you don't need to worry about me." I tried to give her a reassuring smile but I felt a sharp pain in my lower back. Come to find out I was thrown against a handle that hit my back. I got up and walked it off. I left my mom in the kitchen because I knew she needed some time alone to process everything. I just walked to my room and closed the door behind me.
