Come find me

Aviana was done for the day. At exactly 4:00pm, she walked out of the G&K building and stood on the pavement at the side of the road. She were waiting for her chauffeur. Rao took long to show up. Deciding not to wait anymore, with the thought that maybe he was busy attending to more important matters, Aviana, sighed deeply and walked away. She headed to the bus station to wait around for a bus. Something caught her eye. Aviana suddenly stopped when she felt someone watching her. A black car, small in size, with the number 2DT. J422 followed behind her. As soon as she stopped, the car stopped too. It was now obvious, she was being followed. But why? She had seen in movies, how the female leads were kidnapped and tortured. In the end, the masterminds behind the kidnapping would be discovered only to realize that they are people close to them. Aviana was still confused. She hadn't wronged anyone, had she? Anyway, there was no much time to think about that. Right now, she had to try as much as possible to get away from the person. So, she immediately quickened her pace, and hid among the passers by.

After running for a while, she looked back. She had lost the car. She heaved a sigh of relief . She were relieved, little did she know that she had lost her way too. All this time, she had been caught up while trying to get away from the black car that followed her, that she forgot she was a newbie in the city. She knew no one not to mention where she was now. Night was fast approaching. Her phone had long switched off. What could she do? There was only but few people on the road.

"Calm down, Aviana! There's nothing to worry about!" she tried to ease the already tensed atmosphere. "keep calm! Walk down the street and look for a telephone booth nearby and make a call!" With that, she walked down the street, glancing at every side making sure not to miss any opportunity. The few people on the road were beginning to disappear one by one. Soon, she was all alone on the road. Suddenly, a glimmer of hope appeared in her eyes. From a far, she saw a telephone booth on the other side of the road. She ran as fast as she could towards the telephone booth. She walked in and closed the booth door. She dialed her mother's phone number. It connected but no one answered her phone. She didn't give up at the first call? No? She kept calling, but still, no one answered. What else could she do? Her mother was her only hope? Maybe, this was her fate? She thought of giving up but suddenly as if recalling something, she uttered, "The office card!" It was the office card that Davin gave her. She could use the number on the card to ask for help.

Taking the card out from her bag, she held the payphone ready to dial the number, but suddenly hesitated. "Would he really help me? I'm nothing to him, but just his personal assistant!" she thought. "Maybe, I should give it a try! Who knows, he might show up or even send someone to come pick me up!" She sighed deeply and made the call afterwards.

"Hello, who's this?" She heard Devin's voice on the other side of the phone.

"Hello, it's me, Aviana Cole!" she responded.

"Ma'am? Where exactly are you? We've been looking for you everywhere? And we can't reach out to you through your phone? Where are you?" Devin, who seemed to have been relieved off a heavy load from his chest, spoke.

"Wait, what! They have been looking for me? How?" Aviana couldn't help but wonder. The last time she checked, she was a nobody to him. Why would he care if she was nowhere to be found? After a long silence, she finally replied, "Honestly, I don't know where I am! I've lost my way and my phone's battery is dead! Could you please come find me?" Her voice trailed off as she said the last few words. "Okay, we're coming to get you! Just stay where you are! Don't move!" The phone call disconnected.

Devin ran back to the building and into the ceo's office. "Sir, I know where she is! She called just now! Luckily, I was able to track down the phone! She's in Vegas town! It's not far from here!" he spoke, as he panted heavily.

"Okay, let's go!" Ethan stood from his chair and rushed to the door. Outside the building, they got into the car, as Devin drove away. Inside the Ferrari, the atmosphere was neither cold nor warm. Earlier, Ethan was raging with fury when they couldn't find Aviana. He had been on his way to look for her, when he received the call. And when he got to know where she is, he was relieved. Relieved, because the anger in their boss, that could consume them, would now be cooled down.

The car screeched to a halt at the exact spot, Aviana made the call. Stepping out of the car, Devin rushed to the telephone booth. The phone swayed from side to side. It seemed she had just left. With the speculation, Devin walked towards Ethan his head bowed. "Sir...i think she's left just now!" he stammered. "But we can still find her given that she left just now!" Devin couldn't help but shiver at the sight of the man who seemed to fume with anger, at the moment.

"What! You've lost her! I can't believe this! You're so incompetent!" roared Ethan as he walked to the booth to see for himself. He held the swinging phone in his hands. A red-like substance caught his eye. It seemed to be blood but he didn't want to accept the fact that it could be her blood. With his finger, he traced down the substance. He confimerd it. It was blood and with the fact that it was wet, it seemed fresh. Devin was right after all. She had just left. He glanced at the door and what he saw made his heart skip a beat. There were writings on the door.... And they seemed to have been written with actual blood. The blood was still fresh, as it trickled down from the door to the ground. On the floor, there lay a sharp metal. It seemed she had used the metal to cut herself, and with the blood, wrote on the booth door:COME FIND ME!
