"Do you miss your father?" Sophie decided to ask. She knew Isolde was abusive toward her husband and Leland had cut ties with her years ago. She didn't know how was Leland's relationship with his father, Alpha Leon.

The man shook her head. There was no expression on his face when he replied. Leland was indifferent when it came to his other parent. Alpha Leon was really tough on him because, in his mind, being the next Alpha, Leland should be tough and capable.

Leland had some respect for his father to some degree, but he couldn't love him. He had never missed his father to this day.
