Monkey bars & Teasing

"What the bloody hell is this supposed to be?"

For once this time it wasn't me that was yelling in disbelief. I was a bit surprised at the obstacle course that Dracyian had created while we were apparently sleeping through. Zecane quaked and I could only admire it now.

What a beautiful masterpiece.

"Well brother, you surely have outdone yourself," I crossed my arms and walked towards the first obstacle: the monkey bars of a child's playground. Yes, it is what you're thinking. Draycian created an obstacle course made from Terrae's famous playgrounds

"Yes isn't this great, the seven of us bonding after so many years." Dracyian rejoiced loudly while Aremiah cheered in his arms.

Aleera gulped at the sight of the high beams, I jogged to her, "Don't be afraid, I won't allow you or Aremiah to get hurt, but the boys, well that's a different story." I chuckled and the fear in her eyes turned to relief at the joke I made.

"Dracyian? What's the big deal now?" A tired voice replied with a yawn.

I noticed the rest of them turned around at the voice but I just continued admiring the children's games.

Aremiah exclaimed, "Brother Skythe, you lazy bum."

Aleera sighed, "Good morning brothers!"

Dracyian marched up to him, "Is this the time to get up?"

Tiredly Skythe raised his arms and chuckled, "Well I am awake now."

Dracyian accepted it happily and patted him on the back.

"Brother Caius!" Aremiah yelled jumping down from Dracyian.

I glanced back to see my little sister run across the field to the entrance and jumped onto a boy.

So the little rascal finally grew up. Caius was dressed in a long simple robe. Similar to Daemeon's clothes. His hair was untidy but neatly tied in a half ponytail. He was the only sibling to not have fully red hair like Athena.

Caius' hair was black with red tips at the end. He was only fifteen years but it made him look like a bad boy but a goth emo boy. A term I had learned on Terrae.

Upon notice, my eyes glanced towards Skythe and he was staring at me. I quickly turned back to Caius.

I wasn't in the mood to speak to Skythe, there wasn't much of anything for us to speak about. He had hurt me so much and I don't know how to heal that wound.

He pretended to be someone else. He got close to me. I trusted him... I trusted him so much... For a moment I had thought that maybe just maybe I had finally found true friends and a place to call home...

But now that home is gone...

And there isn't a place that feels like home...

I felt a hand slip into mine. I turned to Aleera and she smiled at me, "Let's go get the breakfast."

I nodded and she pulled me along with her. I had a feeling she wanted to talk to me and I was absolutely right. Once we made it to the kitchen. I noticed the breakfast was prepared, we only had to take it outside. I took a glass of water and began to drink it.

"So you had a visitor last night," she sniffled a giggle.

I choked on the water...

I put the glass back on the table only to cough out the water.

"You were supposed to be sleeping," I wiped my mouth.

"So were you but no I woke up to see my future brother-in-law holding you tightly while he gazed at you so lovingly." She sighed dreamily.

I could only gawk at her and she then continued.

"And then you went closer and he went closer and then your lips met his and then-"

I then put my hands to her mouth stuffing a pancake inside, with a nervous chuckle I replied, "yeah you weren't supposed to see that..."

"Sho you dho loke him?" She tried to speak.

"Chew first then speak." I moved my hands away.

"So you do like him?" I swear I can see stars in this girl's eyes.

"No, I don't," My reply came quickly. I grabbed a jug of juice and made it to the door.

In the blink of an eye, the jug was removed from my hands and then I felt a cold shiver run through me as I felt my clothes drench to the core. With a smirk plastered on his face, Zecane had then burst out laughing at the sight of me.

Aleera gasps, "Zecane! How could you?!"

Zecane sneers and moves closer to my face, "Just a little payback for what I saw last night, and there's more to come." Zecane shoves me and my back hits the wall.

"This is so childish," I mumbled as Aremiah ran towards us, with Dracyian on tow.

"Now would you be so kind enough to explain why you decided to drench your sister in orange juice?" Dracyian spoke in a stern voice.

Zecane always feared Dracyian but the way he behaved now was something else. For his features was on of someone that was not afraid for the wrath of Dracyian.

Little Aremiah strutted towards Zecane and kicked him in the leg, "Big brother is mean! Why would you do something like that to your sister!?"

I could only sigh but I couldn't respond. I'll just leave this to Dracyian.

I stepped away from the little commotion and went into the hallway. Caius and Skythe were in the hallway speaking. I slowly walked up to Caius.

"It's nice to see you again Caius. And you have grown up so well." I smile.

Caius stared at me for a while and then he nodded his head. He was still a little emo kid still caught up in his books.

"Serah..." I heard Skythe call out to me. I didn't want to stay in sticky clothes so I marched straight to the bathing pool.

I heard Skythe enter the bathroom

"We have nothing to talk about... you got what you wanted... there's no reason for us to speak about it," I replied removing my outer robe.

"So please leave, I need to bathe."

I could still sense him in the bathroom, but he didn't speak a word. I summoned my rapier and spun around and aimed my sword and whoever was behind me. It wasn't Skythe in the bathing area, no it was a different caelestian that I hadn't seen in a few weeks.

"You!" I seethed at first and then frowned but I never let go of my sword. I trained it at his throat.
