Chapter 2

He turned to Hyejin, "You will be working for the CEO. Be a good secretary. Your main job will be to serve him. Do what he asked you to do."

He brought her to the CEO's room, it was even bigger than Mr. Hwang's room.

"Silly me," she thought, "It has to be big haha."

With all the flashy things in there. The room looked a little too luxurious. All the awards he won for different categories. It apparently looked all fake.

They stood in a distance, Mr. Hwang greeted the CEO, "Good morning Sir, here's your new secretary."

" Male or female?" He asked while he was sitting backwards, facing to the opposite side from them.

"Sorry?" he was puzzled for a moment, "Ah, female, it's a female secretary Sir."

"Okay then leave her here."

While leaving, Mr. Hwang patted her shoulder and advised her, "Don't make him mad ever."

Her expression wasn't great to start with. From the moment she knew she will be the CEO's personal secretary.

She gritted her teeth while standing there calmly.

"Aren't you going to greet me?" His cold voice surrounded the whole room.

"Sorry for my rudeness, good morning Sir. I'm Kim Hyejin, I'll be at your service," she bowed.

"Nice," he turned his seat at once. His face was still covered in the book.

She thought in her mind, 'This brown suit, I saw it this morning. It can't be…' Sweat dripped from her forehead.

He closed the book and put it down.

'It's him, oh God, he's the CEO and I embarrassed myself in front of him like that," her endless thoughts made her look like an animal waiting to be trained.

This guy was from the morning sleek back hair. Looking at him carefully, he was a handsome one. His sharp jaws with a clean shaped look made him dreamy. No woman could resist his charms. There were rumors even men fell for him too in the past.

But for Hyejin, it's another case, she came to find some information for her missing sister.

He stood up, looking at a file. He asked her, "You should read all the rules first."

He picked a book with brown leather cover from his enormous bookshelf. This book lshelf had almost all types of books. He placed this book on the table with a thud sound. She almost jumped out in that sound.

Twirling on an arm chair. She rested her head upwards on the chair. This CEO gave a thick book consisting all the rules and regulations of the company. She came back to her department, an employee pointed her seat at the far most corner of the department. For now she needed to work from there until she learns all the rule.

Almost all their rules were weird. From sitting in an upright position to the dress code to all the ridiculous rules including the one he stated this morning about wearing employee identity card properly on neck.

She thought, 'And what does it mean to be elegant? Am I not elegant enough? Being a woman already?'

At the CEO's office. He advised her to be pretty and elegant. Her behavior was not ruly for the company's reputation.

He said, "Being a secretary of a young CEO isn't easy to begin with, but to put up with the company's face and reputation, you need to look more fragile. Instead you are a little stiff."

He pointed at her feet, "Look, look at you down there." She was puzzled, immediately looked down.

He continued, "Your feet. You're not even standing like a proper lady. I'm advising you please be considerate for a face and learn to be a little more womanish. I know for some women it's not easy to be like that but try to be atleast."

She nodded at his every words. He again continued, "Until you become more womanish you won't be working for me. You'll be in your department, work there and learn the things I told you."

Now she needed to be feminine, but that's not possible at all. While thinking about those, a women came to her.

Bending over her, she said, "Company rules–" Hyejin dropped the book from her hands as she was startled.

She picked it up, "Yeah," with an awkward smile.

"I'm Minji, I joined last month. I'm assistant of Mr. Hwang," she introduced herself holding a cup of hot coffee.

"Oh yes, I remember you are the one who asked him about the new secretary."

"It was you?"

"Y-yeah, you didn't see me?"

"No, not actually. I normally divulge myself in the file and talk to people without even looking at them. Sorry if it seemed I ignored you."

"Nah, it's OK."

"Miss Minji come here with a file from the finance department," someone summoned her.

"I have to go. Let's catch up later."

"Ah... This company rulebook will take my whole day. No, not today a whole month or a year." She closed the book and lied on the table, placing her head on the book.

That whole afternoon went by with a nap.

At 5:00 PM, all of the employees got ready to leave there. But as Hyejin's table was at the far most corner right opposite to the to Mr. Hwang's cabin. No one noticed her sleeping on the table for the whole day.

When Minji was about to leave, holding her expensive Gucci purse, she noticed Hyejin sleeping like a log on her table.

She touched her shoulder as to wake her up, but she was deep in sleep. At the moment Hyejin's phone rang and she woke up from the vibration of her phone.

"You really sleep like a child haha," Minji left as she woke up.

That call was from a spam company. She also left for her home taking her handbag.

At home. She went to her room straight after removing her heels. The high heels left several small red bruises on her feet. She dropped everything on the ground and plopped under the bed.

For a minute, she didn't move.

"Ah. I need to remove my makeup," She got up and went straight to wash her face.

"What a day it was, she exclaimed in a male voice in front of the mirror, looking at her own face.
