CHAPTER 6: A SAD REMINDER.... part 5

The guy King Bartrara was talking to leaves and says good luck to him.

King Bartrara says goodbye and happily goes to his new kingdom to start all his plans, but.....

What the guy was saying turned out to be true and war broke out....

Multiple kingdoms attacked each other to gain ground and power while other kingdoms made alliances to gain advantage and survival.

Camelot being a new kingdom and therefore with very weak defenses, attacks and security made it the central and easiest target for enemy kingdoms seeking to destroy kingdoms.

Bartrara entered into despair, stress and worry about the multiple attacks that Camelot was suffering and the deaths it was bringing.

The days passed and King Bartrara could not stand it any longer and went to the royal library...

Librarian: Welcome, your highness, how can I help you?

Bartrara somewhat worried: hello, thank you very much, I need books that talk about divine things or something similar...

Library manager: umm I think I have some books from the B wing, which was one of the few wings that survived the attacks, Luci!!!

At that a girl named Luci arrives at the reception and approaches them.

Luci smiling: hello what do you need?

Library manager: Luci take the King to the B wing to the divine books area.

Luci smiling: of course, come with me, your majesty.

Bartrara: thanks you both for your help and follows Luci.

Luci walking and pointing out some places: some wings as you can see were destroyed and some where there is blood are some workers or customers, we don't have enough money to clean the place or give it maintenance

Bartrara thinking: it is true due to the current war situation there is almost no money and the Kingdom could go bankrupt, I need some divine help.

Luci opening the doors of room B: ready sir, here is the room where the books are, walk 5 steps to the right and then go to the left and you will find a lot of shelves with books, there you will find what you are looking for.

Bartrara thanks you again and enters the room and starts walking until she reaches the shelf.

Bartrara starts going through the books until she finds 5 books:

1- Egyptian Mythology

2- Buddha

3- Jesus

4- Hephaestus

5- The Apocalypse

Bartrara spent hours reading the books until he found something he could use but found nothing and got frustrated and threw the books away as he desperately tried to think of something.

After another hour Bartrara returned to the book that spoke of Jesus and the miracles he granted to people in need and reading it again he called Luci to ask her a question.

Luci enters the room and asks him if he needs anything, to which Bartrara replies that he needs to know if there is a church nearby.

Luci thinks about it and tells him that she doesn't know but she can ask a scout who always passes through Camelot and goes to the bars.

Bartrara is surprised and thinks that she has never heard of someone like that and decides to go out to try to find this person.

several minutes passed and she finally made it to the bar...

When the drunks and other people enter the bar, they calm down and put away everything that could be considered illegal or dangerous.

Bartrara is embarrassed and feels bad about it and asks them to go on with their normal things since he is not here to watch over them.

The drunks and other people continue with their partying and craziness while Bartrara goes to the bartender.

Bartender: It's a pleasure to have you here, your highness, after everything that has happened, I'm surprised that you still show your face in the face of such a hellish situation.

Bartrara gets a little depressed and responds by saying that it is his duty as King to stand up for those in need.

The bartender responds that few Kings show their faces in a crisis and prefer to hide under a mask of innocence and naivety.

Bartrara responds that he is doing his job well to be a different and fair king for his people and then shows him a book.

The adventurer finishes drinking and looks at the book and asks what is so special about it.

The King tells him to look for a divine power that will help him with the kingdom to survive the war.

The adventurer fixes his backpack and says: you know, I am a treasure hunter and I know what you need, but you must give me something in return.

Bartraras thinks for a while and tells him that if he helps him he will give him permanent lodging in the kingdom and 2 free beers a day.

The adventurer gets excited and says he accepts and proceeds to get up and tells him to come with him.

Bartrara tells him that he should change first to which the adventurer replies that this way he will be fine for where they are going.

The 2 walk out of the bar and go towards the outside doors of Camelot....

The adventurer caresses his horse while Bartraras feeds his horse and then mounts up.

The adventurer also mounts and starts to ride while the King follows him.

Bartrara asks him if it is too far, to which the adventurer replies that it is a little bit but not that far.
