Just before they are about to get her in a wagon, she pulls out a dagger and throws it at one of the guards hitting him in the leg. She then takes out another and slashes one of the guards faces.

The mercenary rushes in to disarm her, he manages to grab the knife away, but Vera knees him in the groin. She then delivers a mean uppercut causing him to fall over.

She is about to run, when one of the guards pulls out a sword and stabs her in the back. The sword goes through her and she falls to the ground gasping for breath.

"You idiots!", yells the mercenary, "She is no good to us dead."

The guard that stabbed her shrugs, "She…attacked us…and…"

The mercenary slashes his throat with his own dagger before he can finish the sentence.

"How am I going to explain this…there is no way she will survive the journey with that wound."

They attempt to pick up Vera, but even in her last moments she keeps fighting, making it difficult for them to lift her.
