While my brother and sister weren't paying attention, I bolted. I rushed out of the car ran to the back of the house and went in through back door. I guess Dallas and Shay were either asleep or too tired to really understand what I had did but by the time I had fastened leashes on all of our dogs and pulled all of them to the front door my family had already left. I thought to myself " How could a mother leave one of her children behind when there's a tornado coming!? " I stopped though and realized that there was no one to blame but me.
I looked up at the sky in complete udder awe I saw it. The tornado my mother had woken me up about and it was coming right towards me. " Dammit! " I screamed. Whether out of frustration or fear I kept screaming it. I finally gained my composure after about two minutes of screaming. I thought " What should I do? " I decided I would go to the bathroom with my dogs. I always remembered in elementary school the teachers would mention going to the bathroom or a place with no windows in the case of their being a tornado and it was too late to get to a shelter.
I waited there for what felt like hours. But would turn out to only be minutes. Then I heard it. The tornado it sounded like a freight train of pure wind and chaos. I was scared never in my life had I really experienced true fear, and this was the fear of losing my life.
Just then I heard a loud bang at my front door it sounded like it was kicked open. I sat there wondering what that was. Just then I smelled it.
I've always had a great sense of smell since I was little. I don't know how I got it or if I was just born with it. I've just been able to smell things other people could not. And this thing I smelled was pungent, rotten to the core . I started shaking for I could not help it. Whatever was in my house was evil, an atrocity to mankind. There was only one way to describe the smell and that was death.
The worst part is, was that the only thing separating me from that abomination was one measly, flimsy door. I held me breathe. Or maybe I couldn't breathe because of the aura that was being let off by that thing. Whatever the case was my dogs felt it too. It wasn't just some figment of my imagination right before I died by that tornado. It was real. I didn't know whether to be happy or wish I woulda died by the tornado. But one thing I was sure of was, that thing was heading my direction.
My dogs started whimpering, I prayed to god that it would leave. But even I knew god was nowhere near this house with that thing here. As it got closer it stopped right in front of the door and it turned the knob. The door was locked which worried me because it knew something was gonna be in here. But as the knob kept turning the lock just broke. Almost like whatever turned it had tremendous strength.
As the door slowly creaked open I closed my eyes. And as I felt the gust of wind from the door when it swung open. I was terrified my eyes still closed as hard as they could possibly close. I heard it speak. But it wasn't an "it" at all. She sounded like a girl. She said " Oh? " in a displeased tone. I opened my eyes and I couldn't believe what I was seeing. It was a girl, white silvery hair, red eyes, and dressed in a red dress. No, the dress wasn't red it was just soaked in blood.
