Hunters vs Monsters
All the Hunters used their skills the moment the dragons came within range of their abilities. The combined might of almost a 100 S-Ranks, each of them almost as powerful as a country's entire military power.
The first few dragons were easily killed, but the number of dragons started to overwhelm the Hunters quite easily. The Hunters were gradually being killed, ripped apart, burnt and eaten by the dragons.
Many of the dragons left the area of the battle and flew away to the rest of the country. The Hunters desperately tried to stop them but they couldn't do anything other than wait for their end to come.
The only Hunters having no problem were the five Hunters at the frontlines.
Thomas Andre gripped two dragons by their necks and then jerked his arms, tearing the heads of the dragons. A third dragon tried to attack him from the behind but it was suddenly cut into thousands of small meat cubes by Liu Zhigang. He jumped from the ground onto a dragon's back, but before it could shake him off it's back, Liu swung his two swords, turning the dragon into small cubes.
Below them, Christopher Reid punched two dragons. The punch though didn't manage to wound the dragons; it was enough to disorient them for a moment which was enough time for him to use his ability. Huge waves of flames came out from his body and washed over the dragons leaving only incinerated corpses.
A few hundred metres away from him, Siddharth Bachhan tapped his staff on the ground, which created two large boulders. He swung the staff, launching the boulders towards a group of dragons, crushing them immediately.
Behind him was Jonas wielding his spear. Two dragons approached him with their mouths wide open. Jonas calmly thrusted his spear a few times in empty air. The shockwaves created by the spear easily tore apart the dragons.
The five were the only reason why the Hunters were still not completely dead. But they were also slowly being overwhelmed.
Suddenly the surroundings started shaking ominously. Everyone stopped doing whatever they were doing, both the Hunters and the Monsters. All of them looked up.
The Hunters had a look of horror on their face while the Monsters had a look of pride.
Out of the gate came out a dragon. But this one was different from the ones that came out earlier. This one was larger, stronger, faster and deadlier.
It had its body covered with red coloured scales and a white underbelly. It had two huge wings by its side and three black horns on its head.
After it came out of the gate, the gate disappeared. Instead of landing on the ground, it flapped its wings creating such immense pressure that all the houses that were still left intact were immediately flattened. It also crushed some A-Ranks and B-Ranks through the sheer force of it flapping its wings.
The few remaining hunters watched as the dragon flew away before they themselves were eaten by the smaller dragons.
The five lead hunters looked towards the departing back of the dragon. Their eyes flashed yellow as they muttered.
"Miscalculated."
"Earth was not prepared."
"Emergency Measures need to be taken."
"Sacrifice necessary for survival of humans. But Sacrifice is too great."
"Allow connected humans access to Spiritual Manifestation?"
"Agreed."
"Agreed."
"Agreed."
"Agreed."
"Mana flow of the world is sufficient. Spiritual Manifestation possible."
Their eyes turned back to normal, but all of them suddenly looked down towards their own body. They could feel as if they had grown in power by a lot. As if they now have a new source of energy previously untapped by them.
They looked at each other and nodded their heads. Without wasting any time all of their bodies started changing. Their body looked as if made out of Armor as their bodies grew to extreme sizes.
With this new power they started massacring all the dragons that were present around them. Leaving not a single one alive. Though they were also gaining various wounds as time went on, they were finally able to overpower the dragons.

A massive dragon was flying over the skies of California. It was heading towards San Francisco while burning everything in its way. The death count had already reached the 100000 and only kept on increasing.
It landed on the beach City of Santa Cruz. Though there were not many people there because of the threat of an S-Rank Gate, the remaining 20,000 people were not spared from the Red Dragon's fiery breath.
It spent almost half an hour thoroughly destroying the city before flying up again. It laid waste to everything in its path. Not a single person was spared.
It seemed to be actively trying to destroy any and all kinds of human settlements near it. No matter how big or small.
After almost 20 mins later it finally arrived at the Golden Gate Bridge. It looked down towards the hundreds of cars stuck on the bridge while the humans ran out of their cars and tried to escape from the bridge.
The dragon landed on the top of the bridge and looked down. It pulled its head back and puffed up the neck. It opened its mouth and breathed out waves of fire melting and incinerating every single object and person on the bridge.
The dragon then smashed it's arm down on the bridge tearing the supports off completely. The bridge fell down along with the corpses of the hundreds of people that were burnt by the dragon.
The dragon then landed on the city of San Francisco. It then spread apart it's wings and opened its mouth wide apart. It gave out an ear-piercing roar, as if telling every other organism on Earth that it is now the sole ruler of the world.
Suddenly it turned its head around and came face to face with a human. Except this human had wings on its back and was flying.
The human looked down on the dragon with a cold look in its eyes and declared, "How dare a lowly lizard declare itself as the king?"
The human then slashed his flaming sword towards the dragon.
