Byeol was currently on the 49th floor. He had met four Demons that gave out a transportation paper when killed. The paper described the demons as the Captains of the Legions of the Demon Vulcan.
He passed through the gateway to the 50th floor. He could immediately tell the difference between this floor and the ones before this. Though the apocalyptic scene of a city was still there, there was no column of black fire in the middle, instead a huge open space was present.
In that space was a throne, nearly 40 meters tall made completely out of bones. On the throne sat a Demon. The Demon at full height would be around 50 meters tall. It had red skin, a boney face with three red eyes four horns, it has a obese figure and extremely small and thin legs which made someone wonder if the Demon can even stand up. It its right hand was a mace about 30 meters in size made entirely of wood.
Byeol could tell with a single look. This was the Demon Vulcan. Just the aura coming from the Demon warned him that it was Dangerous. It's amount of mana could be considered to be an S-Rank or even SS-Rank, if it could be measured.
Infront of the Demon was hundreds of smaller Demons, with everysingle one of them wearing a knight's armour.
The moment Byeol came within their vision every single demon except Vulcan raised their weapons and charged towards him.
Byeol materilased his sword and swung rapidly killing knights and stopping any kind of magic coming towards him. He looked up and saw that Vulcan had still not moved from its throne.
He focused his attention back towards the knights when suddenly he felt a large shadow over him. He looked up and saw Vulcan had appeared over him and was about to smash it's mace on him.
*Boom* *Crack* *Crack*
It smashed the mace, making a huge crater on the ground. Cracks spread through the entire city due to the force of the city.
*Boom* *Boom* *Boom*
But it was not done. It continued its assault on Byeol's location. Suddenly Vulcan stopped it's attack. Rather, it was forced to stopped. He couldn't move his mace at all.
Underneath the mace, Byeol had embedded his fingers onto the mace. He grabbed the mace and lifted it up along with Vulcan and threw both of them.
Vulcan crashed through hundreds of buildings before finally coming to a stop. It looked up and saw the human that it was attacking levitating in the sky with six fiery wings behind him. His eyes kept on releasing a deep red flame.
Byeol had partially removed his limiter.
.
.
On the 45th floor, Byeol was sitting down on one of the large pieces of rubble and kept on wondering about the Demons.
He thought back to how the Demons on the lower floors were extremely weak but were gradually growing stronger as he went higher.
'Why don't they place strong Demons at the start? It can prevent the death of many Demons, even if they are cannon fodder. They can easily repel of invaders, reduce the deaths of Demons while preventing anyone to pass through the floors.'
He thought about it for almost an hour without getting the answer and so decided to move on.
.
Now he realised why. The lower floors would collapse if they had higher ranked demons like Vulcan due to the overload of energy.
As he went up the floors, the amount of mana increased substantially, allowing the presence of higher ranking demons. That means that he could release a LITTLE bit of his power without breaking this world.
A small tendril came out of the halo and entered his body. Using the enhanced strenght he grabbed the mace and threw Vulcan away.
He looked towards the location of Vulcan and saw that it was also looking towards him with its three red eyes.
The Demon slowly got up from the destruction. Violet energy started coalesce around it. It picked up it's mace and gave out a loud roar.
*ROOOAAAR*
The entire floor seemed to shake under the intensity of the roar. Vulcan's entire body seemed to be releasing a violet energy.
Byeol prepared himself for its next attack. Suddenly it appeared in front of him before he could even react. He tried to quickly slash with his sword but was swatted away by the mace.
He was flung a few kilometers before he reoriented himself and tried to fly back but Vulcan was already behind him. He turned around and was successfully able to catch it's mace. He used his sword and melted the mace away.
But Vulcan didn't even flinched a little as the molten wood fell on his body. It instead backed away by a few kilometres.
Byeol tried to fly towards it when it suddenly waved it's arms, tearing apart buildings and the ground and threw the rubble towards him. He swung his sword and incinerated the debris heading towards him.
But Vulcan also didn't gave up on its assault. It kept on throwing the rubble towards him while it suddenly in front of him and punched him away.
Byeol used his wings and slowed himself down. He turned away and flew upwards. Vulcan hopped on the ground a few times and made a jump.
The ground underneath it completely broke away with it reaching Byeol's height within a second. It tried to grab his wings but he cut it's hand.
"Don't try to overstep your boundaries." Byeol declared as he looked down on the Demon as it fell down towards the ground.
He closed his eyes and muttered to himself, "Now I understand."
His halo got assimilated into his body. But instead of the space cracking as usual, his golden aura covered the area surrounding him.
His wings grew larger and each of them were longer than a few hundred meters.
Byeol had complety removed his limiter.

AN:
Will be going to my Grandma's house this today, so might not be able to update chapters for a few days.
Anyway,
Yesterday night I was searching for some wholesome manga and found Made in Abyss.
The few chapter I was like: "Ok. It has a grim-dark theme, but seeing the cute art style I bet it would be kind of wholesome."
A few chapters later I was like: "What the fuck just happened? What the fuck did I just read? I am not reading the wrong manga, right?"
