Why don't I have a daddy?

She had just two days to work on her presentation. That evening, she took Ben to a shopping mall to get him some toys.

"Mom, look at that spiderman toy, can you get it for me. Please mom" he begged with his cute eyes. How could she refuse her adorable baby.

Smiling, she picked the toy for Ben. Moving further into the mall, they saw another family shopping for goods. A man, his wife and their daughter. Ben looked at his mom and back at the family. Tania knew what was going on in her boy's mind. Trying to distract him, she said"hey Ben, look over there, that's a Superman toy, let's go check it out"

That night, she decided to bring Ben to sleep in her room. Ben was very moody and she kind of knew why he was sad.

"Ben, why are you sad. Talk to mama. After looking at that family in the mall, your demeanor changed. Tell mama what's bothering you"

Ben bent his head low before saying

"Why don't I have a daddy?"

That question stinger her in her heart. Tears immediately formed in her eyes. She couldn't cry, who would console her son

"Son, have you heard the story of Peter Pan?" She asked to divert his attention.

After telling him the story, he slept in a good mood.

Coming out to drink a glass of water, she saw Mimi

"Babe" turning to Mimi, she sobbed on her.

"Its fine Darling okay. At the end of a tunnel, there must be a light. There is still hope. There is someone out there who will love you Ok?" Mimi tried consoling her friend. That night was sad for the 3 people in that apartment. Mimi wasn't happy because of her friend, Ben slept moody and Tania wasn't happy at all..
