AN UNFORGETTABLE ENCOUNTER

CHAPTER 4

He had dark hair and a killer grin. His muscular biceps and blue Oceanic eyes and his bronze skin were the only centers of attraction to Bella's eyes.

Awkwardly, Bella tucked the strands of her curled hair at the back of her ear and let out a restless smile.

"Thank. . .Thank you." Bella sputtered.

"Am Maximilian, but they call me Maxi." He said with a seductive smile as he extended his right hand to greet her.

"Nice to meet you too, Maxi," Bella said as her gaze landed directly on his eye, she was practically lost in them; pleasant interest, unavoidable sentiment, and desires summing up in extensive vigor.

"Umm. . .and. . .you are?" Maxi asked Bella when he didn't seem to get any reply from her.

"Ohh. . .me. . .my name. . .umm. . .am sorry I was just lost somewhere, between fire and dusk," Bella swallowed hard as she smiled awkwardly."okay, I am Christabella, my friends call me Bella." Bella extended her hand for a handshake while smiling towards him, sure not to look into his eyes.

"We will catch up soon" he murmured and walked away.

When maxi had just left, Bella stamped her feet on the ground as she turned around in circles, while holding the black leather bag close to her chest. She couldn't believe what had just happened.

Dwarf, as she was referred by all and loathed by the whole school for her looks and silhouette. Their dull faces, and silence when she made an effort to draw near them, at least trying to make friends but all her effort ended up in mockery.

Bella was labeled an oldie, her dressing style, her long messy curled hair, the large specs that made her look hideous and old-fashioned. She was somehow an invisible being. Luckily, not to Mia but the rest of the students.

'Hopefully, someone has talked to me.' Bella told herself as she steered in the classroom and sat in the back seat.

Just as she was about to draw her diary, and gossip about what had ensued a moment ago; someone abruptly sat beside her, the scent felt familiar to her.

Momentarily, Bella swerved her neck to his side; the first thing to notice was his sturdy biceps that emerged under the striking shirt that he had put on, his familiar saturating eyes that almost drowned her inside and the position of his curled lips that made her quench for its taste. Her heart jumped a bit when she heard his deep possessive voice mumbling.

"I never thought I would see you again, Bella"

Bella's tongue felt tongue-tied and was unable to speak. It was a fact that his presence had changed the way her body functioned; her leg had begun to tremble and her hands felt numb.

"Neither. . . neither did I. . . " Bella grinned then brought out her diary and began to pour her thoughts out.

As soon she was done and tucked the diary back into her bag, the teacher walked in, Mr. Tom's face was red in a wave of anger, and this frightened Bella.

The assignment that she was supposed to submit was all ruined. She knew that even if she tried to explain, Mr tom wouldn't understand her.

"I hope everyone has completed their assignments." Mr. Tom announced as she walked to the front class.

"Mrs. Bella, where is yours?" Mr tom asked when everybody had managed to submit their homework.

"Umm. . . " Bella's face burned as she met the teacher's eyes.

"Umm. . .I don't need excuses, detention quickly" he said with a high tone.

When that was said, Bella stood up from her chair and before she could walk out of the class she heard Mr. Tom talking to Madison, the famous girl and an elegant queen in the whole school. When madison gave him an excuse, Mr . Tom listened attentively and forgave her.

Furious. Bella stepped out of the room and headed to the detention room. She was so disappointed with how teachers get to divide between the rich and the poor. She held her backpack tightly as she walked into the hallway, straight to the detention room.

The room was empty, Bella sat down and once again took out her diary. Suddenly, the door wrecked open and she was engulfed by the familiar scent that intoxicated her.

Curiously, Bella tilted her head, in a short moment, her eyes met his, she was left speechless and stunned.

Silently, Maxi walked in and sat in front of her. Her legs went completely numb, more like she was paralyzed.
