First Conflict

Rayzen turned around to see it was one of those loners. He was dressed plainly and had nothing on him that related him to a clan. The kid took back his hand and extended it for a handshake as he asked in a deadpanned tone:

" Can I also contribute to your dream of peace? "

Rayzen was surprised by his words, but more so by his tired eyes.

'This kid has experienced some really bad things!"

Rayzen was awaken from his thoughts by the kid's tired voice.

" I thought so! You-"

" What are you talking about? Give me some time to respond kid!"

Rayzen berated in a light tone. He shook the kid's hand strongly and said:

"Let's be friends! You can call me Rayzen! What's your name again?"

The kid was stunned for a few seconds after which he responded a bit skeptically:

" I am Derei... But, are you sure? I am an orphan."

Rayzen shook his head and said with a smile: " What does that have to do with being friends? I'll give you my first advice as a friend, Drey! Friends hatch from the most unexpected places! "

Derei was speechless by his new friends who gave good advice while addressing him wrongly.

" But... I am Derei!... Not Drey!"

" That's what I said Drey... De-rei"

Derei got depressed as he said: " Don't bother! "

"So do you have any other friends?" asked Rayzen.

" Yes! He is.... Oh! He left early! " Derei looked around for his friend, but didn't see him.

" We could meet him tomorrow then!" said Rayzen.

Seeing him converse nicely with a civilian, the rest of the kids also soon mingled with him. And the one that caught his attention was Dōto Akimichi , to be precise, his collection of snacks. Rayzen talked with Dōto for some tme and learnt all the best places for a foodie in Leaf Village. He was also reminded that Teuchi's Ramen shop has been opened and running successfully for about a year now.

After leaving the foodie, Rayzen was about to leave the class when the hostile Uchihas surrounded him and tried to goad him into fighting. Rayzen didn't pay them any attention and was leaving the class with Sora when one of them said:

" Better obey us in the future, or we will bully your dear sister to-"

...

Minato was conversing with almost the entire class, while he frequently gazed at Rayzen's direction. Observing that he was conversing with someone casually, he felt that Rayzen was different from the normal Uchihas.

Finally out of the mingling session, Minato wanted to talk with Rayzen to get to know him better. But just as he looked around for Rayzen he saw something crashing to the wall from the direction of the doorway.

He saw that it was one of the Uchiha kids. The kid, although crashed against the wall, didn't have any serious injuries, only bruises.

Minato saw that there was fear on the kid's face. He traced the kid's gaze back to a glaring Rayzen, his visible 'eye' conveyed his anger. The black void like eye that promised to devour whoever hurts his loved ones. But soon they turned back into the normal kind and carefree eye that he saw at the start of the class.

Minato slightly felt a sense of fear, but it was only an instant. But that was enough for his sharp senses to glimpse at a future powerhouse.

' Powerful! Very powerful! He is hiding his strength.'

...

Rayzen recovered from his emotional outburst in an instant. He walked back and pulled the thrown student on his feet. He patted the dust off his clothes and said in a voice audible to the entire class:

" Why go for such filthy actions? We are from the same clan and above all classmates. We will be together for the coming four years. So why sow unnecessary conflicts? If you want spars with me or any sort of help from me, you can come ask anytime and I will be ready. But if you go about and hurt my loved ones over nothing wrong..."

Rayzen had his hands on his jaws as he gave a smile through his mask and visible eye, while ending his 'advice'.

"Take care" he said and left the class with Sora, among a crowd of flabbergasted students and the curious eyes of Shiroka, who was in a sleeping position on the desk.

She whispered to herself: " Interesting..."

...

Rayzen got back home after leaving Sora at Takeshi's. Since Asami was there, he had to narrate everything that happened in class on the first day, while having lunch. During which he asked:

" One of my classmates told me about a popular Ramen store. Can we go there tonight?" asked Rayzen.

Asami thought about it and replied:

"Sure! You also haven't seen Leaf Village at night, right? So let's have a tour too."

Seeing Rayzen excited to see the night of Leaf, Asami was happy.

After lunch, Rayzen continued with his training and later started reading through the study materials. He found that his capacity for learning has starkly risen from that of his previous life. He came to know this, when Asami called him for going out. That was when he realised, night haf already arrived.

...

Rayzen had a fun night with Asami. He was in his bed, while thinking of what he had seen.

The Ramen was superb, but still he felt that it was due to the ingredients having been enriched with chakra and/or natural energy to some extent.

The same could be said for other street foods he had, although the level of cooking differed. He also noted that the night life of the Leaf village was very active.

He saw that the security was being ensured by the Hidden Leaf Military Police Force comprising mainly of Uchihas. Although the security was ensured, it was mainly due to the streets he visited being important ones. Even then, there were hooligans, drunk ninjas and civilians and other troublemakers. Some even tried to move on Asami, but her rank as a Chunin was not for show.

Basically, the police force was understaffed and had work cut out for them. Hence the Uchiha with their Sharingan and battle capabilities was suited for the job.

But Rayzen felt that, the Hyuga and Inuzuka ninjas would have been a better choice for security. It was close to impossible to escape their senses.

'If the Police Force was mostly comprised of Uchihas then security would have taken a drastic hit after the Uchiha Massacre. If the situation of security is already like this now, nothing need to be said about it, after the Uchiha Massacre. I must not judge things, from the point of view of the anime. Either the internal security of Hidden Leaf will take a heavy damage or the fear from the Uchiha Massacre, might have made the criminals and troublemakers to be disciplined for a certain period. Both are probable. I would love to know what would have really happened...'

His thoughts ended as he drifted off to sleep.
