Training Sharingan

After the first week of Asami's recovery period was over, Rayzen was able to relax a bit more. The patriarch wanted to meet him and had sent a message to him. The message said he could take his time and meet the Patriarch after he was free from taking care of Asami.

Rayzen didn't sent a shadow clone, as he himself went to the patriarch. He was not that surprised seeing Akihira barely able to conceal his joy.

Akihira made him sit and went inside a room, only to arrive five minutes later with tea and a set of cups. He sat facing Rayzen and poured tea for the both of them. After taking a sip for himself, he asked seriously:

" How is your mother... I mean Asami? "

Rayzen was focused on the fact that the patriarch, someone in a position of respect, was making tea for himself and the guest.

' Does the patriarch not have a wife or servants? '

Akihira's question broke him out of his thoughts as he answered with a warm smile.

" She is recovering! Nothing I can do other than take care of her needs. "

Akihira nodded and said : " Don't worry! From what I heard she will be back in shape in atleast an year. Anything you need for Asami, just inform me and it will be arranged. "

" I am grateful for your kindness, patriarch!"

Rayzen thanked him sincerely.

As he was bowing a bit to him, the patriarch knocked his head and laughed out loud as he said:

" No need to be so formal, kid! "

His tone then turned shrewd as he said :

" Now then, show me your eye kid. "

Rayzen looked straight at the patriarch and activated his Sharingan. The patriarch too activated his Sharingan and observed him. Rayzen attention was captured by the Patriarch's blood red three tomoe Sharingan as he wondered the extent of the pain and suffering the patriarch might have endured.

The patriarch deactivated his Sharingan and so did Rayzen. He said excitedly with a smile:

" Although it's a shame that only your one eye has Sharingan, it won't matter much if you just hone what you have. Anyway, unlocking Sharingan at this age indicates your tremendous potential. I am happy that I bet on you kid. "

He then said while being barely able to contain his sorrow:

" I have to say, even though you should be proud, you should have understood by now the cost of such power. I am happy that in your case the trigger to unlock Sharingan didn't cost you much and this might be due to your potential and bloodline purity. You should strive to upgrade your Sharingan to three tomoe. You don't need to worry if you take too much time, with constant use of Sharingan and accompanying battle experiences, you will eventually reach there.

With every time you use Sharingan, you need to remember, why you have been given this power, this will boost your capabilities although it will affect your mentality as well. Don't forget that this was something you got when you wanted to protect someone. And when you are unable to protect the ones you love even with this power, I hope you won't close your eyes to the 'light' that is still there... "

Taking in what the patriarch had said, Rayzen was curious to check if the common reason for Sharingan being activated can be used as means of empowering it. Although his unlocking it was different, if he tapped into the rage, pain and sorrow he felt when he learnt that Asami was in danger, he should see some results as the principal behind it should be same. He was also surprised by the patriarch being emotional and wondered what the patriarch might have encountered to reach where he was now.

As they finished their tea in silence, the patriarch spoke again:

" Since you have the Sharingan, you are allowed access to all Sharingan related information, particularly the techniques. But don't think this is the end, there are still a lot more high level information and powerful techniques that you can have access to , if you have three tomoe Sharingan. I'll give you my permission seal, you can get them at the library. I will also allow you to have access to all B- level jutsus and other information of the same grade that is unrelated to Sharingan. "

Rayzen was excited by this opportunity and he thanked the patriarch.

" Don't get too excited! Remember that it's best to choose a few techniques wisely and mastering it, rather trying to swallow everything only to cought it up without digesting a single bit. "

Over the next few weeks, Rayzen used shadow clones to digest every piece of information from the clan library, that was now accessible to him.

His knowledge of genjutsu and application level of it were enhanced tremendously. What Rayzen was more delighted with was that he was able to learn and understand how to really make use of Sharingan!

He was able to learn how to integrate it with the Uchiha taijutsu and in battle tactics and this raised his combat power to another level. He also learnt how to use Sharingan genjutsu and play his opponents with illusion much easily.

He tested out Akihira's words of using the emotions responsible for unlocking Sharingan to empower it and found it to be true. For testing this, he made shadow clones and transformed them into Asami's teammates. He was able to transform into them as he saw the team picture of Asami that he had hidden from her, to prevent her from reliving her trauma.

With this arrangement, Rayzen was able to easily tap into his rage and hence could test it better. He handicapped himself by not using chakra other than for Sharingan since a single strike from him without holding back is enough to dispel a clone even when no chakra is used. On the other hand, the shadow clones had no limit and could even clone themselves in an effort to gain battle momentum, but not so much so that Rayzen's chakra will be drained and the clones will be dispelled automatically.

If anyone saw him fighting, they would think all the people involved were acting. This was because the shadow clones tried their best to avoid contact with Rayzen's point of impact, while Rayzen himself tried to avoid theirs. This fight was serious, as if anyone of the clone made contact with him, Rayzen would suffer seriously. He couldn't and wouldn't even tank a strike from Micro-Burst jutsu, as a single strike was enough to leave him with serious injuries!

He had cutoff his connection to the shadow clones so that he wouldn't limit the combat power of the shadow clones. And also allowed the use of Sharingan by the shadow clones. This made the battle difficult to another level. And this was the best way to test the effect of an emotionally empowered Sharingan. Since the shadow clones playing the enemy would not be able to use Sharingan driven by any emotions and hence would not have the same level of power as his original.

Although the effects of his Sharingan were increasing, it was not enough to thwart the clones since they too had made good use of Sharingan and other long range to mid range techniques as the battle progressed.

In such an intense fight where his health was at risk, Rayzen was slowly losing himself to all the frustration and rage.
