AHLIF

Ahlif woke with a smile in her eyes, which slowly reached her mouth her pretty oval face was a sight for sore eyes, her eyes lances are pure black, a long nose pointed down like an arrow over her thin, robotic lips. She slowly slid her smooth legs out from under the duvet, and placed her feet on the warm carpet of her room. She stood up slowly, unfolding her petite frame as she stretched out first her arms, then her neck, her lean abdomen, pushing her slim waist forward as she stood on tip-toes and yawned covering her mouth with her tender long fingers, highlighting her high cheekbones.

She rushed down to her bathroom as she heard the ahzan(calling of prayer) from the near by masjid behind their house on entering the bathroom she snatched her tooth brush from where she placed it, dispensing the toothpaste into her toothbrush she scrubbed on her teeth starring at herself on the mirror right in front of her placed on the wall above the sink, she runs her fingers through her thick natural black hair, murmured to her self I think I have to visit the salon to wash and reset my hair and also maybe braid it... She spit out into the sink and turn on the tap rising her mouth she close the tap and headed towards the shower to take her bath before retreating into her room to pray subhi.

Grabbing the door handle I opened the door to my room walking down the stairs I went straight into the kitchen expecting to see my mum but there was no one in there, standing in front of the counter I decided to prepare the breakfast before mum comes down.

Opening the cupboard she picked out some potatoes and started peeling them...

Daddy am done preparing breakfast should I packed it for you so you can take it to office course I can see you re already set for work?!

seeing him all dressed up for work already heading towards the front door to go outside, no my dear there is no need for that am late for work plus I still have some coffee your mother gave to me some days back in my office so don't worry I will have that when I reach!

Seeing his daughters reaction he "chuckled" and pinch her cheeks, angry huh...?

Don't worry baby last card I will be home early today I will eat launch with you guys.

Freezing from the spot he was he turned back called her and "asked" don't you have lectures today Ahlif?

Reaching to where he is she replied no sir I don't have any today till on Monday...

oh I see and he marched out of the corridor while she followed him opening his car door he slid inside and wave at her she waved back while returning inside hearing her dad starts the car and off he went.

Coming inside closing the door behind me I saw my mother coming out of the kitchen with a plate of fried potatoes and scramble eggs held in her right hand while having a cup of hot tea on the left one........ Good morning ma, I greeted, dragging out one of the chairs from the dining and placing her cup of tea and plate on the table.. How was your night? she asked, Alhamdulillah I replied sitting down on one of the chairs beside her mother. Picking the fork she mouthed some of her food in her mouth before turning her head towards me... Have you had your breakfast already? Yes I have... nodding her head to her mother, and your father just left right!? Without having his breakfast! he said he still has the coffee you gave him at the office Ahlif stated..

well that was the reason why I gave him that coffee so he won't starve himself just because of work.. Signing she stared back at her mother and said he will be fine momma don't worry to much, I hope so she murmured starring back at her plate as she continue sipping her hot tea.
