Once again the sun blazed its light onto Arcane’s face, Her forehead wrinkled and she was about to curse at the sun when she felt the mattress under her body to be very rough and hard, it felt like she was lying on bare ground. Arcane opened her eyes and turned her head around to see green grass.

“What on Earth is going on here?” She sprang up in surprise. The place she stood right now wasn’t the palace bedroom but it was a forest. And the sunlight hitting her face a while ago was seeping through the leafy roof of the dense trees.

“Did I sleepwalk? How did I end up here? I am sure I was sleeping in my bed.” Arcane pondered over the situation for a while. “Did I get kidnapped?!” She held her face with her both hands but suddenly pulled them back.

“No way! Why would anyone kidnap the useless me?” Arcane spoke to herself and looked around to find her way back.

Without knowing where she was headed Arcane started a journey in a certain direction. She walked and walked for a long time, her legs started to hurt but there seemed to be no sign of any life around there.

“My feet are killing me! How am I going to get out of this mess?” Arcane poured as she looked down at her fragile frame. “I wish I had my previous body! At least walking would have been easy.” Arcane sat beside a tree and massaged her tired legs.

Rustle…

There was a rustling sound coming from a bush that was a few yards away from the tree where Arcane sat. her head shifted towards the sound, she squinted her eyes to see what was inside the bush, There she saw it, a whitetail moving up and down.

“IS that a cat?!” Arcane muttered excitedly as she got up and slowly walked over to the animal whose tail was the only thing visible in the bush.

Arcane lightly poked the tail on which the up and down motion stopped suddenly.

‘Grr…

An unfriendly sound came from inside the bush, Arcane smelled something wrong and she slowly stepped away from the oddly large cat tale. Slowly the animal came out of the bush causing Arcane’s heart to come out of her chest, the animal that had peeked out of the bush was a leopard, or at least it looked like one, its hair was silverish white with a pair of scary purple eyes. The only message Arcane’s brain sent to her legs was to run and so that happened. Arcane’s legs that were hurting a while ago were now running for their lives.

“Why did you touch its tail!!!!!” Arcane ran while cursing herself. The leopard-like animal was running after her and there was not much distance between them, And at that moment Arcane saw a wooden door in the distance. Someone had dug a hole in the mountain and was most probably living there. She without giving it a second thought pushed the conveniently unlocked door.

ANd with a bam she closed it. All the life had been sucked out of Arcane at that moment. She was drained and fell on her knees beside the closed door.

“Haah...haah...haah!!” Arcane tried to catch her breath, her heart was pounding loudly muting all the other sounds around her.

After a long time, Arcane looked around the place she had bragged into without permission,

Unexpectedly the place that looked like a rabbit hole from the outside was grandiose from the inside, plants were creeping up the walls where there were wooden shelves loaded with glass bottles containing colorful liquids. Arcane glanced around but didn’t dare to step closer to anything, though she was tempted to touch every single one of the cute bottles and even steal a few, she kept herself from vomiting any kind of blunder. Arcane had fixed her mind on leaving the place just when she was sure that the danger outside was over. Arcane had her back against the door waiting patiently for time to pass. The house seemed to be empty because no one had walked in on her for a while now, even after she had made so much noise.

Knock, Knock, KNock…

“GAsp!” Arcane jumped up when she heard the knock on the door. “IS it the leopard?... Are you stupid how can a leopard knock on the door.” Arcane once again scolded herself and slowly pulled the door. Her eyes were welcomed by an extremely beautiful girl. She had long green hair like fresh grass and lemon yellow eyes. Her face was fair and her skin was smooth without a single spot. She was holding a basket in hee. She was smiling at first but just when her eyes fell on Arcane her expression became sour and her refreshing look became scary.

“SO you are the girl he is seeing nowadays?!” the hateful voice came out of her tiny mouth. “I see nothing special about you, WHy does he like an old hag like you? YOu have such ugly eyes and black filthy hair! YOu look disgusting!!”

At first, Arcane didn’t care but when she saw the girl insult her for her looks a very angry feeling boiled up in her stomach.

“Hah! You are calling me ugly? Look at yourself! YOu have hair like a grasshopper” butt and your eyes look like rotten lemons, And don’t make me get started with the face! No wonder he told me that you looked like a chewed piece of bubble gum”

“Chewed piece of bubble gum? Did he say that? Is that a swear word?” Out of everything Arcane said she looked especially hurt by the last words she had said, Sadly there was no bubblegum in that world so Arcane didn’t bother herself with explaining it.

“Yes, he said that!” Arcane looked very satisfied with herself after standing for her rights, The girl’s eyes grew red, and teardrops formed in them. ‘Did I go too far?’ A sudden wave of guilt wrapped Arcane as she saw the girl throw the basket on the doorstep and run away in a hurry.

Arcane picked up the basket left by the girl, “It looks like the animal is gone,” She muttered and took the basket inside the house. She didn’t know who lived here but she surely ruined his relationship with his girlfriend.

“I should write him an apology note,” Arcane mumbled as she placed the basket on the table.

“How did you unlock the door and why are you here? State your business.” A cold voice that could cause on to freeze in their footsteps came from behind Arcane,

“I am sorry, Sir. But it is not what it looks like,” Arcane slowly turned around to face the man, but sadly she was too short to see his face, the only thing she saw was the neatly buttoned shirt of the guy who stood two steps away from her.

“The door was open when I pushed it,” Said Arcane. She lifted her head to see the guy’s face and got another surprise.

‘Violet eyes that resembled the lavender fields and the quiff messy silver hair that looked like the reflection of the moon itself, His broad and muscular shoulders and his strong build…’

The words from the novel came flashing into Arcane’s head when she saw the guy. It was “Symon Kizashi” The ultimate male lead that got the Heroine. HE was boundlessly handsome but Arcane couldn’t fawn over him as he was the one who had dug the grave for Arcane.

“I am waiting for an explanation here,” He spoke after seeing Arcane staring at him dumbfoundedly.

“It was that I was getting chased by a wild animal and I had nowhere to hide except for here, so I bragged in,” Arcane lowered her gaze and said, “ I promise I haven’t touched anything and I had no intention of touching anything either.”

‘Though I did have an intention to steal a few of those cute bottles. Now I am glad I didn’t touch them,’ Arcane mumbled in her heart.

“So you are saying you unintentionally came into my house and unintentionally brought me a basket of food and that you have nothing you want in return and that it was all a coincidence?”

‘Why does this guy sound like he is trying to make a fight here? I just told him I had no intention...No wait! I do have a favor to ask of him,’ Arcane thought.

“Honourable Sir, YOu might think I am lying but it was a coincidence but I do have a favor to ask of you,”

“Hah!” Symon gave out a sarcastic laugh as if trying to provoke Arcane.

“Let’s hear out what the Miss who had no intention to come to my house, came to ask for,” HE stepped closer to Arcane and glued his eyes to Arcane’s skin.

She gulped in her saliva and mustered up the courage to speak up. ‘Why is talking to this guy harder than fighting in the ring,’ Arcane thought to herself.

“I want you to help me go back to where I came from,” Arcane spoke in a rather loud voice,
