Yoshi sat up, at the lunch table, Kai rubbing his back. "You okay?" He asked, leaning his head down so he could make eye contact with Yoshi. He nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just tired. Didn't get much sleep last night." Yoshi mutters. He hadn't, having to use his father's sleeping pills to get any. He was still too shaky over what happened the day before.
Kai nodded quietly. Somehow, the entire table was silent, which irritated Yoshi. They didn't need to worry about him. "I'm okay, guys," He looked up at the group, who were either looking down at their food, or at him. "Seriously. I'm fine." Baker hummed, continuing to look down at his food. Yoshi sighed, reaching over to pet the blond's hair. "I have been meaning to ask though, what happened with coming out? You still wanna do it?" Yoshi asked, Wafi scoffing. "Hell no. I met one of his family while shopping for Hisoki's party. It was a fucking mess, seriously." Wafi laughed.
Baker rolled his eyes, before looking back at Yoshi. "Yeah, about that. I am still going to do it, maybe even tonight. Actually, I'm not ready for tonight. Maybe tomorrow." Yoshi smiled, laughing quietly. Ugh, why did Baker have to be so cute? Yoshi hummed as Mago walked up from behind Baker. The tan boy placed both hands on Baker's shoulders, scaring him. "Come on, class started like a year ago." Mago jokes, before grabbing Baker and pulling him up from his seat. "No! My chips!" He jokingly yelled, but Mago wouldn't let him reach.
Yoshi rolled his eyes as Kai grabbed his plate. "Your shrimp chips are not needed in this cafeteria any longer." Kai said, as Baker cried. Mago lifted the blond boy up higher, holding him as the others walked to the classroom.
When Wafi opened the door, Hisoki looked over, waving them in. "You are some bad students. I have to give all of you tardies." He shook his head sadly, writing question phrases on the board. "Unless, you can pronounce all of these. Pick one person, and if they pronounce it correctly, no tardies." He said simply, Mago dropped Baker onto his feet. Hisoki wasn't facing them, which gave Yoshi time to hide behind Kai. "Come on, it's not like he's going to be mad. He won't even ask about it. Plus you're the best at English." Kai whispered, stepping to the side. Hisoki looked over at Yoshi, staring at him for a second, though he didn't say anything about the cut on his cheek. "Yoshi, you wanna try?" He asks with an endearing smile.
Yoshi nodded, walking over to the board. He grabbed the marker from Hisoki, before taking a step back to read them. "Did we even learn these?" Yoshi asked, turning his head to look at Hisoki, who was laughing quietly. "Yes, we did." He answered, sitting on his desk. Yoshi nodded, sucking in a breath. He just had to pronounce this right. "*I like sushi. You like ramen. We both like,*" Yoshi took a second, reading the word over again. It was Japanese, that's for sure. But it was translated to English. "*soba?*" He said hesitantly. Baker, Wafi, Kai, and Mago all went to their seats, as Yoshi turned to Hisoki.
"Am I right?" Yoshi asked hopefully. However, instead of Hisoki answering, he stared down at the floor. Yoshi looked at him for a moment, before walking up to the professor, tapping his shoulder. "Hisoki? Are you ok?" He asked worriedly, yet Hisoki didn't answer. Soon, Hisoki looked up at Yoshi, letting out a shaky breath. "I need to- I'll be right back." Hisoki's voice quickly, Yoshi stepped out of the way as he hopped off the desk.
Yoshi watched quietly as Hisoki rushed out of the classroom. Yoshi stood there, staring at the door. "He- did Hisoki just-" "What just happened?" Wafi asked, stepping out of his seat. He walked down the aisle, walking to his desk. Hisoki's phone, bag, and other items were still in their places. "He's going to come back. I think." Wafi observed. Harley was calmly on his phone, typing something. Mago abruptly stood up, walking over to Harley. "What the fuck did you do?" He asked harshly, pulling Harley up by his collar.
"Woah." Kai said warningly, grabbing him before he did any physical damage, but Mago tried to slip out of his grip. "I did exactly what I promised. I wanted to show how terrible of a teacher Hisoki really is, and that's exactly what I plan on doing." He shrugged, a smirk on his face. "You fucking-" Kai placed a hand over Mago's mouth, lifting him off the ground and walking to the door. "Wait, what a deal?" Yoshi asked, Harley's eyes going to him. "Nothing." Harley quickly replied. He grabbed his bag, walking out of the room after Mago and Kai.
Yoshi turned to Baker, who was standing up from his seat worried. "Do we just…. Wait for him?"
