Chapter 42

Hisoki could feel Yoshi scoot slightly closer to him as Dolion walked up to him. "You guys can go, I just wanted to talk." The boy said, waving off the others. Who was Dolion? Hisoki had never heard of anyone by that name. The boy didn't go to Yokosa, actually the boy didn't seem like he went to high school at all. Dolion looked down at Yoshi, smiling. "Hey, Cinnabon." He said, a dark smile on his face.

He could feel it, a slight flinch from the pet name. Hisoki pushed Yoshi slightly behind him, looking up at the boy. "Who are you?" Hisoki asked defensively. Yoshi poked his head out, barely being able to see the confrontation. Dolion smiles. "I could ask the same for you." Hisoki scoffed, rolling his eyes. "Yet, I asked first."

The boy laughed sarcastically, smirking up at Hisoki. Hisoki didn't smile back. "Dolion, and you?" Hisoki didn't say anything at first, silence invading the conversation. Yet not for long, not long enough. "Hisoki. Why did you call Yoshi's name?" "Jeez, protective much. Why does that matter to you?" Dilion laughed, stepping slightly closer to Hisoki, however the other kept his feet firm in the ground. Hisoki scoffed.

"Because I would love to know why someone called my boyfriend's name." Hisoki voiced angrily. He didn't know who this man was, didn't know who he was to Yoshi, but based on the other's reaction, it wasn't good. Yes, it was a lie, but he thought maybe the boy would leave them alone. However, sadly he didn't.

Dolion hummed, finally looking Hisoki up and down. He took off his hat, combing out his hair. He smirked. "Hm, I would never think Yoshi would be with someone so….. Tempered." He said, looking back at Hisoki. The professor scoffed. "Not tempered, just have a reaction to when people throw bullshit." "Well then you must hate yourself, don't you?" Hisoki clicked his tongue.

"So hypocritical of you."

Dilion took a step back, scanning every part of Hisoki's body, crossing his arms. "Nice shoes, nice pants, nice sweater, no wonder Yoshi dates you. You have everything, and yet he has nothing." Dilion observed, his piercing blue eyes meeting Hisoki's brown ones. Hisoki shakes his head. "No, he doesn't have nothing. He has everything, you just can't be blind with stupidity to see it."

"Your from America." Dilion voiced quietly. That caught off guard, making Hisoki have to take a moment before nodding. "Why would that matter to you?" Hisoki asked, his grip on Yoshi loosening lightly. Dilion thought for a moment, before smiling. "No wonder you're defensive." Hisoki was quite at the insult, looking back down and laughing.

"Well, lucky for you, in America I was taught to think before I act. So, in a moment when I smack the shit out of you, so rest assured I've thought about it, and am confident in my-" "HISOKI! YOSHI!" It was Mago, running up to them. He glared at Dolion, before huffing and grabbing both of their arms. "Let's go." He muttered, pulling them away. Hisoki was defiant at first, before sighing and going with him.

Hisoki and Yoshi were pulled back to the fountain, where Kai, Wafi, Baker, and Harley were calmly sitting. Yoshi wouldn't stop hugging Hisoki, hiding his face in the professor's side. Hisoki lifted Yoshi up, sitting him down on one of the seats, the professor sitting up. "Are you ok?" Hisoki asked, smiling encouragingly at him. Yoshi smiled back. "Thanks." He mumbled. Mago huffed, sitting on Kai's lap, smoothly because there wasn't another seat. Kai froze for a minute, before sighing.

"I swear to god, Hisoki. Wait, are you even Hisoki?" Mago asked, turning over to look at him. The teacher nodded. "Yes, I am." He said calmly. Mago sighed, before continuing his lecture. "I swear to god, if you were about to punch that boy-" Wafi gasped, cutting Mago off. "Wait, Hisoki was about to punch someone???" He asked, excited. Hisoki quietly chuckled. "We ran into someone who was being a little mean-"

"A little?! NO! He was being mean to me and Hisoki! And Hisoki was going to fight him! It was incredible!" Yoshi rambled, exaggerating everything that came out of his mouth. "Who was it?" Baker asked. Before Hisoki or Mago could answer, Yoshi cut in. "No one is important. Just someone for middle school." Yoshi lied. Mago and Hisoki turn to the boy, but don't say a word.

"Well is everyone ok? Cause I have drinks." Harley said, pushing forward a drink holder filled with different types of lemonade. Hisoki smiles, grabbing a cup. "And he paid for it with his own money! Aren't we all so proud of him!? My baby is growing up so fast!" Wafi said, cuddling up to Harley. The boy didn't move him, instead sipping on his already chosen drink. "Whatever." Harley muttered.

Hisoki shipped his blue drink, not expecting it to be blackberry flavored. "So, I need makeup for halloween. Hisoki, you wanna come with me?" Kai asked, looking up at the other. Hisoki hummed, nodding his head. "Yeah, we can." He said, standing up. KIa stood up, ready to walk over to Ulta, but Harley was quick to push Hisoki back down. "NO, you're not going anywhere near that beauty store." Harley scolded, before going back to his drink.

Hisoki looked at Harley, confused. "Why can't I?" He asked. Baker gasped. "Oh, he's right! You can't. Kiso, remember?" Baker explained. Hisoki sucked in a breath, leaning back in his chair. He forgot all about that. "Yeah, you're right. Sorry, Kai." Hisoki frowned. Kai waved his hand, smiling. "It's fine, trust me."

"I can go with you." Baker volunteered, getting a nod from Kai. "Alright, let's go, then. See you guys in a bit." Kai voiced, stepping out of the little circle they had made. Baker followed him, waving. Hisoki waved back. Right as Kai was about to walk away, he turned. "Please, don't get into anmore trouble." Kai begged. Hisoki laughed, seeing the kids' concern.

"We'll be fine. Promise."
