Mago, Wafi, and Kai quickly leave the room, hearing the sounds of yelling. Though he had barely missed it, seeing the door slam shut. Mago sighed, walking into the kitchen, Kai following right behind him. "What the hell happened?" Mago asked, no anger in his voice. He just needed to know. "I guess I said something that triggered him to get mad." Harley said, his voice ever so tense. Baker nodded with him. "You think he shifted?" Kai asked, walking over and throwing a small cap into the trash "He was drinking."
"No, no way. Absolutely not. He fazed out for a moment, but the same voice, same way to act, he was just…." "Distress." Mago finished, sighing. "So, what now? Because we have an altar somewhere." Kai asked, mostly to himself. "Let him go. He'll be fine. He didn't seem dangerous or anything, he's smart enough to be safe." Baker said, stepping out of the kitchen. Mago however kept his eyes on Harley. "What did you say to him?" He asked.
Harley shrugged. "I was mostly thinking out loud. I remember learning a little about DID in class, and the different types of alters. Sexual alters, which the alter said he was, are from sexual abuse or rape cases." Harley explained. Mago hummed, nodding his head. "Ok, wow. Do you think that Hisoki's trauma might be-"
"Hey, that's none of our business." Kai scolded, glaring at Harley and Mago. The tanned boy sighed, walking over to him. "Yeah, you're right. What are we supposed to do? Just wait until he comes back? That might be a long time." Mago asked, sitting down on the other couch. "I guess. We can go to sleep." Kai explained. Wafi poked his head out of the kitchen. "Hisoki has hot cocoa in here, you guys want some?" Wafi asked, causing Mago to smile. "Yes, that would be perfect." Mago said happily.
Yoshi reached over, grabbing the remote. He turned on the tv, automatically on the Nickelodeon Channel. However, instead of Spongebob Squarepants, Rugrats was playing. "Wanna watch this?" Yoshi asked. No one answered, instead different hums and nods coming from different directions.
_____
Baker was half asleep when the door opened. He had decided on the couch, with different people sleeping in other rooms. They had all decided to sleep here for night, mostly because they were too lazy to drive back. Mago had turned off the light for him, however Rugrats was still playing in the background.
Baker groaned from the noise, his eyes slightly opening. Baker watched sleepily as Hisoki placed the fedora on the island table, sliding his shoes off. "Hisoki..?" Baker groaned lightly, getting the other's attention. Hisoki looked up and smiled, waving his hand lightly. "Go back to bed, I'm alright." He murmured.
Baker sighed, observing Hisoki taking off the cropped, vibrant purple blazer, placing that also on the island. Hisoki took a moment to breathe, before combing a hand through his hair and walking towards the back of his apartment. Only then did Baker actually shut his eyes, though his brain kept thinking. Why would Hisoki do all of that in the front room? Couldn't he have done that in his own room? Oh, he can't look at himself. That would be a trigger. Baker sighed, opening his eyes for a moment as he viewed the clock, before shutting it once again.

___
Baker was the first to wake up, the morning sky barely lighting up. He could hear quiet murmurs from another room. Baker groaned, stretching before standing up. He wanted to check on Hisoki. He stood up, walking down to Hisoki's room. He knocked lightly on the door. "Uh, Hisoki? It's Baker." The student mumbled. Hisoki gave an immediate answer. "Come in."
Hisoki sat on his bed, his brown hair cutely tied up in a ponytail, with bangs out in the front and sides. His computer was on his lap, with a small cup of coffee beside him. "What are you doing?" Baker asked, shutting the door behind him. Hisoki chuckled. "Would it be funny if I said school work?" He joked, making Baker smile. That was the HIsoki he knew.
As Hisoki looked back down at his computer, Baker noticed something. He didn't seem stressed, more focused on something. But, it wasn't the computer. It couldn't be. His eyes kept shifting to a small notebook on the bed beside him, before looking back at the laptop. Baker hummed, his back to the door. "Are you ok?" Baker asked hesitantly.
Hisoki looked back at him with a grim smile. "I will be, are you?" Baker had a feeling this was a question he would have to answer, not that he wanted to. It was a hard question to answer. He was fine, that was simple. But knowing Hisoki isn't, that makes him not fine. "I'm ok." He lied. Somehow, throughout this friendship, Baker felt like he lied the most in his life.
"Um, I have a question….. Just- you don't have to answer… just-" Hisoki gave him an amused look, shutting him up entirely. "Sorry, I ramble a lot." Baker mumbled, ashamed. Hisoki smiles. "You do, I know that much about you. You ramble whenever you're nervous. Are you nervous?" Hisoki asked, his voice getting somewhat hurt on the edge. "Should I have a reason?" Baker asked.
Hisoki didn't seem to expect such a question, yet he didn't give much away. "You have a lot more than just a reason, what was your question?" He asked, switching the topic. He wasn't good at it, not like Heko was. But, Baker didn't mind it. "Why did Heko choose to tell me his name? Why not anyone else?" Baker asked curiously. It was a dumb question, but Baker had just thought about it.
Hisoki sighed, shutting his computer. "Hek is a... well he's a lot of things. He's a trickster. He can deceive people to do what he wants. Whatever he does, it has some other purpose. What was his reason that he told you?" So, Baker was right about Heko. Baker felt warmth rise to his cheeks, making him lower his head under Hisoki's eyes. "Cause I was cute."
Hisoki laughs quietly, shaking his head. "He probably just likes you a lot. He tends to make preferences with people, depending on how they seemed to him. Heko's just very…. Forward, sorry if he made you uncomfortable." Hisoki apologized. "Wait, do you know what happened?" Baker asked, suddenly nervous. Did Hisoki know about the kiss and just didn't want to tell Baker? Did he want Baker to bring it up? Did he not want to bring it up at all?
"I can make conclusions based on where I woke up. But I don't…. Remember much." Hisoki answered. So he didn't remember the kiss, was that supposed to be good. Part of Baker wanted him to remember the kiss, but that part wanted another one. "Where…. Where did you wake up?" Baker asked. Hisoki shut his eyes, sighing for a moment. "I-uh. Nothing, it's not important." He says, making Baker frown. Hisoki didn't want to tell him?
There was a light tap on the door behind him, making Baker turn around. "Uh, Baker? Hisoki?" It was Yoshi. He seemed tired, probably just waking up. Baker steps back, opening the door for the brunette. He had a cover draped over his head, looking like a ghost. Baker smiled. "Everyone's up, and we didn't know where Baker was."
Hisoki smile, shutting his computer and placing it to the side. "I'll go cook you guys some breakfast in a minute." Hisoki said, getting out of bed. Baker shook his head. "You don't need to do that, we'll be ok." Baker said, waving the teacher off. Hisoki, however, smiled. "It's the least I can do. You all waited for me, so let food be my appreciation." Hisoki explained.
Before Baker could say anything else, Yoshi voiced his opinion. "I think HIsoki' food is good, so let's eat it. I'm gonna kidnap you so you can shut up." Yoshi said, wrapping his arms around Baker and pulling him back into the main room. Everyone looked up at them. "Is he ok?" Mago asked worriedly. Baker nods. "He's fine, but I don't think he slept all night." Baker whispers, sitting down next to Harley on the floor. "Do you know where he went?" Harley asked, turning his head to Baker.
Baker sighed, shaking his head. That was the one thing he didn't know.
