Chapter 64

As soon as Wafi understood what was happening, he stood up from his seat, only to have the alter point the knife to him. He raised his hands, showing no signs of violence. "Leave him alone." Wafi cautioned, stepping slightly closer to the two. Baker looked up at him with pleading eyes. The alter scoffed. "Why? Do you want him safe and sound? You must really like this blondie….. Or maybe you love him.." Sahae retorted.

Wafi didn't say anything to the altar's words, only stepping slightly closer. "Sahae, please. We're sorry we looked at the journal, ok? We shouldn't have done that. But that doesn't mean you just get to hurt anyone for it." He begged quietly, but the altar only tightened his grip. "I had told that dumbass one thing, but he can't even listen! Don't talk to them, don't go near them. It's going to hurt...… like he didn't learn the first time.

"Now he had to learn the hard way."

In the corner of Wafi's eye, he could see Harley open the door quietly, him freezing at the scene in front of him. Wafi lowered a hand so only Harley could see, signaling for him to stop. If Harley starts to fight Sahae, Baker could get hurt. Plus, the knife. "And what's the lesson that's supposed to be taught? Why are you so angry-"

"HE HID US. He locked us away and threw away the key. Why? Because people told him to. He wanted to be normal, live without us! Like we didn't help him get through-" Sahae stopped talking, shakily breathing. Baker closed his eyes, and at first Wafi thought the boy was crying. But then he saw a small drip of blood leak from under the knife. One wrong move and-

No, Wafi didn't want to think about that.

"Sahae, calm down. Just please." Mago mumbled from behind him. He could see Sahae's eyes flick over to Mago. He smirked. "Really, Mago? Out of everyone, you should know how it feels to hurt Hisoki. I warned him about you, warned him not to tell you anything. Not to even say a whisper. Yet he did, and what did you do-"

"HE'S THE ONE TO BRING IT UP"

"And yet YOU were the one who said yes."

"What a great boyfriend you were." Sahae muttered. He let go of Baker, his glare going straight to Mago. Baker gasped for his breath, dropping to his knees. Wafi waited a moment, just a moment.

Now.

Harley ran up to Sahae, wrapping his arm around his neck in a chokehold. Sahae almost fell, only being held up by Wafi's hand that had grabbed only his shirt. Sahae raised the knife, ready to use it, but Wafi was slightly quicker. Right before it hit Harley's leg, Wafi grabbed onto the wooden handle, yanking it away.

Sahae's face was a deep red as he gasped for oxygen. He wasn't going to die. Harley slowly moved his arm away from Sahae's neck, right as Baker was pulled away by Mago. Sahae held his neck, looking down to the floor. Wafi grabbed the knife, pointing it at Sahae's stomach. "Leave, or else you're dead." Wafi threatened. He wouldn't kill or ever hurt Hisoki, but he just wanted the other to think that.

Sahae coughed, shaking his head. "Kill me, it won't matter." Everyone stared at him, not knowing what to say. But only one person did. Harley grabbed Sahae's chin, forcefully tilting his head up to look at the student. Harley scoffed. "Leave, or else Hisoki's dead."

Sahae stared at Harley for a moment, before collapsing.

______

Mago cradled Baker, looking down at the cut. It was only a flesh wound, and he knew the other would be fine. But Baker still clinged onto Mago. The tanned boy watched as Sahae fell unconscious onto the floor, a soft thump as his body hit the carpet. Wafi turned around, walking towards the two, while Harley checked on the body. "Are you ok?" Wafi asked Baker, who hesitantly nodded.

Harley reached down, lifting Sahae up. He cradled the blacked out body in his arms, looking over at Baker. "Are you ok mentally?" Harley asked worriedly. Baker stared at him for a moment, before nodding again. Though he was obviously not. Mago could feel the blond's heart still racing. "Baker, maybe you should go lay down-"

"No, I'm fine. I want to make sure Hisoki's ok." He mumbled. Harley nodded softly. "How the hell did this happen?" Harley asked, looking over at Wafi, who looked down sheepishly. "We looked through a diary. It didn't seem like much-"

"It was how they communicated. They wrote small messages for the other alters to see and write back. It was like texting yourself. They were old, and very personal. Personal enough to trigger not only Sahae, but also a fight response from him." Mago explained further. There was no need to dumb down the truth. This was more serious than that. Wafi quietly nodded. Harley stared at them, before sighing and leaving the room. It was obvious that he was mad, but Mago didn't really care. His brain was still trying to process everything.

Wafi turned to him. "Are you ok? You got a little emotional for a moment." Wafi mumbled, as if someone else was listening. Mago smiled and nodded his head. He stood up, allowing Baker to lay down. "I'm fine. Just a little shaken, that's all."

There was a light knock, before someone opened the door. Yoshi skipped in, Kai following right behind, both having a smile on their face. However, when they noticed everyone else's, they turned to frowns. Yoshi gasped quietly when he saw Baker, running over to the boy. Kai turned to Wafi, who turned to Baker. Harley stepped back into the room, his hands empty. He looked at the two standing at the doorway, before sighing and shaking his head.

"We need to have a conversation."
