Chapter 2:First Escape

(9 YEARS LATER MC POV)

Surviving here was the hardest thing I've ever done even worse than when I was deployed to Afghanistan. Due to lack of sunlight, I haven't been getting vitamin d and my body was extremely weak the prison those women put me in was cold and barely gave me any blankets or clothes. I've had to steal some of the skeletons next to me and use them to help me sleep. Learning how to walk again was the hard part each time I tried I either fell flat on my face or on my hands that have been scarred. There would be a servant that came in and would patch my hands she was the nicest person I've met here so far and would sneak in some extra food for me when the guards weren't looking.

I've been putting together everything I've learned,so far I've died and somehow come back to life and time traveled.God this sounds like a horrible Sci-Fi movie,I finally understand what language the people around me are speaking it's either Romanian or Greek though the only words I know are hi, hello there and F you bitch.Another thing I found questioning was that this island didn't have any men at least ones I've seen so far.

I was broken from my thinking after I hear footsteps and go back to my make shift bed and pretend I'm sleeping.I hear a bunch yelling and realized some of the voices were coming from men.I turned around and saw the women swords drawn pointing at the men and putting them all in the cells.I looked at the men and was shocked by what they were wearing it was knight armor with red crosses on them my heart sank and I relized I was in the crusades era but that still didn't answer the question on all these women.

The knights were all yelling in English and getting noisy

"OI YOU WHORES LET US OUT"

"INFEDELS"

"WITCHES"

"SAVAGES"

Those were some of the curse words that the Knights were yelling at the women.Suddenly more than 30 women came down into the prison area all in nightgowns and went into each of the cells of the knights and started to undress.

I looked away knowing what was going to happen next.All I heard was moaning and the sounds of clapping it was like the ending of a really good movie and everyone was clapping but this type of clapping went on for about an hour.The whole prison was filled with the stench of sex and lust I took a few peeks where I made eye contact with something shiny.I got a closer look and found a key that was hanging on to a piece of clothing.

I sneakily crawled over and stretched my small arm through the gap in between the gate and was able to get a key along with a piece of shoulder armor from the clothes of the Knight.I crawled back to my corner and hid the key while sharpening the edge of the piece of medal trying to make it into a prison style shank for protection just Incase I didn't know what these women were capable of.

I looked back at the knights and women and saw that one of them finally finished,the woman that was on top of the Knight pulled out a dagger and slit his throat his eyes went wide and he clenched his throat choking on his own blood.The other knights didn't realize this until one by one each got their throats slit after finishing.Some knights fought back led to them getting some guards to hold them down so they could finish and than kill him.

My eyes went wide and I felt like vomiting I wasn't a stranger to death but seeing someone get their throat slit personally right in front of me sent shivers down my spine.I looked away and started to sharpen the make shift knife faster and got the edge a bit sharp not enough to kill someone but enough to wound them.

My heart was beating fast many theories were going through my head right now like we're these women actually witches and sacrificed those knights for some sort of satanic ritual or were they just sex driven animals.I kept my focus on sharpening the knife but was quickly startled after I heard one of the guards yell

I jumped up and saw a guard glaring at me and continuing to yell I looked back at my knife and kept on sharpening I heard the gate open and footsteps approaching me fast but I kept on sharpening the knife before I was thinking I could wound them and run now I know what there capable of which means this is now a life or death situation and I refuse to die again.

I felt an arm grab my shoulder and forcefully turn me I looked up and saw the blonde guard in my face yelling"γεια τι έχεις εκεί είπα τι έχεις εκεί μιλάω σε σένα αγόρι"

she looked down and saw what was in my hand.On instinct I slashed the knife at her face cutting her eyes,she dropped to the floor clutching her eyes yelling in pain and cursing.I quickly grabbed the key I hidden and ran out the cell quickly shutting it behind me.

I was running weird my legs were wobbly and I felt dizzy due to the stench of blood that filled the air.My feet were scrapping against the cold stone floor as I ran up the stairs and got to a door that I prayed would be open.

I pushed the door with all my strength and was finally able to open it my eyes were blinded by a strange light and I looked and was amazed by what I saw it was the sun and the blue sky I wasn't able to see them in years and it just felt so refreshing.I heard yelling from behind me and heard footsteps coming up the stairs I quickly shut the door and put down the wooden lock so they would've be able to open it.

I looked into a random hallway and started to run there were guards who finally took notice of me and started to chase me but due to my young age and small legs I was able to slightly outrun them.There was a turn up ahead and stopped when I saw someone turning the corner.It was the lady that was there on my birth my so called mother but she isn't my mom my real mom died after working 4 jobs just to support her kids.

The lady and a few of her Guards also took notice of me and the shock on their faces would be funny but not in a situation like this.I was trapped there were 6 guards behind me and 8 in front of me including the lady that gave birth to me.

The only way of escape was off a railing that led to god knows where so I took my chances and prayed to god that I wouldn't fall to my death.I ran and jumped off the railing but something or someone caught my foot stopping me it was the lady who's eyes I cut and she was mad extremely mad.She started to squeeze my leg so I pulled out the knife from my pocket and started to slash wildly until I cut her arm that made her let go.

I fell down hitting some trees and landed in a bush I felt lots of pain from my leg and saw it was broken but that wasn't the least of my problems I tried getting up but felt a bunch of pain from my side and knew I broke a rib or two and would be lucky if it didn't puncture a lung.

I started limping away and saw some light and some hope of freedom until it was crushed just like that.I looked at saw a beach which meant I was on an island the only thing I could see beyond that was ocean upon ocean for miles.I dropped to my knees and felt like I was about to cry but sucked it up it wasn't over yet there could still be hope.

I turned around and felt a great pain towards my chest and all the air come out as I was flew backwards.I looked back up wheezing trying to regain my breath as I saw the lady who's eyes I cut with bloodshot eyes and a cut that would 100% scar walking towards me red with anger.

"θα πεθάνεις εδώ αγόρι μου"She said

She than started to punch me and kick me and grabbed my neck raising me into the air chocking the life out of me.I felt my eyes getting heavy and knew I was close to death but regained my resolve I made one mistake before I died and it was not leaving someone dead I won't make that mistake again.I pulled out the knife I had and with all the strength I had left stabbed the lady in the neck causing her to let me go.

I fell on the ground regaining my breath laying down in pain as I heard her gurgling chocking on her own blood.It was ironic she just killed a guy 20 minutes ago who she inflicted that pain upon now she's suffering the same pain.Karma really is a bitch.

I tried getting up only to fall back down I heard more yelling at saw a group women with weapons heading my way.They stopped and checked on the dead lady and sad some even crying than their eyes trained on me and their emotions took a 180 they came over to me stomping,kicking and straight up jumping me.

I finally blacked out exhausted from the pain but heard another voice yell out causing everyone else to stop hitting me.
