CHAPTER 5 - Isn't that what you wanted?

Classes went by quickly, thanks to my studies on vacation I was able to keep up with ease. This was also due to the beginning of the school year, teachers are at a slower pace.

During the exchange of teachers, I managed to interact with Julia. I asked her where the canteen was, gave the excuse I didn't remember. And I really didn't know where the canteen was.

Julia offered to show me the way.

When the break arrived, Julia and I got up and headed for the exit. Many of our classmates looked at us, among them was Irina.

We left the room, in the hallway.

"Please show me the way." I said.

Julia looked at me like she couldn't believe what she was seeing.

"Did you not pay attention to the ceremony?" She asked.

"No, just a small part. Did they say anything about the canteen?"

"Yes, the school underwent a renovation and the canteen changed. But, don't you remember where the old canteen was?"

I really don't remember, I can only have memories that marked old Rick. I don't remember things like where the school canteen is.

"No. I don't remember."

Julia must have seen the sincerity in my eyes and said.

"Follow me, I'll show you."

We started walking down the school hallway. Many students looked at us, I felt a little uncomfortable.

"Why is everyone looking at us?" I asked.

"It must be because of me." Julia said.

I looked at Julia, her tone and way of speaking changed, she looked like a lonely person. Even his eyebrow twitched slightly.

"Aren't you going to ask why?"

"I will, but not now. There are a lot of people here, and the way you speak seems to be a personal matter." I said.

"Who says I'm going to tell you something personal?" She asked.

"You need someone to talk to."

When she said it was her fault the attention we were getting, I was able to partially deduce her story.

The basics would be: one of the three beauties of the school, the student council president. Known for her cool expression, few people speak to her, perhaps just the student council members. Julia probably doesn't have any friends, and that's her fault.

Her reason for talking to me must be to try to change and make some friends. Since I'm your tablemate, it would be the most practical option.

"Let's change the subject." Julia said.

"OK."

This school is huge. We have been walking for about five minutes and the canteen is not enough.

"You said you paid attention to a part of the ceremony. Which one?" Julia asked.

"Well, that's when the student council president was announced. She was so pretty I had no choice but to look at her."

"Beautiful? What... What did you find beautiful about her?"

Things got fun now. Julia started talking as if the president wasn't her.

"Let me see. Her beauty was already standing out from a distance, when I saw her up close I could see the details. Her hair is black and, goes down her back, her eyes are also black, her skin is white and she has red lips like an apple. She's very pretty, as far as the rest of her body is concerned..."

"Okay, okay, enough." Julia said.

I looked at her and could see her face flush a little. Anyone would feel ashamed.

"This is the canteen." She said.

I was so caught up in the conversation that I didn't even realize we had arrived. There was already a queue with a considerable number of students.

After the purchase, we went to a secluded area.

"I like to eat here. Hardly anyone comes here."

"It's a quiet place." I said.

"That's why I like it." Julia said.

We sat on a bench and started to eat. I bought a sweet bread, it was my favorite in the other world. I was happy when I heard they were selling.

"So are you going to tell me why everyone was looking at us?" I asked.

"Not."

"OK"

We don't have the intimacy for her to tell me something personal.

"You gave up easy." She said.

"I can't force you."

Sooner or later she's going to open up to me anyway. I don't need to be nervous, let's take it easy.

We finished eating and Julia said.

"I have something to do in the student council room. See you in class later."

"OK."

Julia turned and left. With 15 minutes to go before classes started, I got up and went to the bathroom.

On the way I could see some girls looking at me. My current appearance is that of a popular person.

After using the bathroom, I returned to the classroom. To my surprise, a small group of boys was waiting for me.

I don't need old Rick's memories to know who they are. Obviously, they are the main idiots who bullied him.

"Hey, are you Rick?"

I looked at the guy who was talking. He was blond and muscular, probably a member of one of the school's sports clubs.

"Yes it's me."

"Look what we've got here. When Jay said you've changed, I never imagined something like this."

You don't need enemies when you have Jay as a friend.

"What do you want with me... What's your name again? I've been forgetting things lately."

I said in a disinterested way.

"You forgot?" He asked.

"Well, it's okay to forget about the trash. Don't you think?"

The classroom students laughed. Irina, Jay and Ana were surprised, it looked like they were looking at a completely different person.

Seeing the reaction of the people around him, the face of the guy in front of me turned red with anger.

He took a step forward and grabbed my uniform.

"Don't get cocky. You're still the same loser."

"Look at this anger, this isn't normal. What did I do to you, huh? I already know."

I smiled, I knew the reason for the bullying done by this idiot in front of me.

"You like Irina, right?"

There was a change in his expression. This guy is an easy person to read.

"From your reaction, I was right. You can't accept a loser like me getting close to her. Can you?"

"Shut up."

"You can't accept that a loser like me is betrothed to her. You're jealous of me."

Everyone knew that Irina and I had an arranged marriage. Early in high school, old Rick bragged about his engagement.

The news spread quickly. If he had stayed silent, maybe the bullying wouldn't have been so heavy.

"SHUT UP"

Students saw the atmosphere tense and stopped laughing.

I looked at Irina.

"Hey, Irina."

She looked like she was in another world, it took a while for her to answer me.

"Ha!? What?"

"As of today, we are no longer engaged. I want to cancel the arranged wedding." I said.

Irina's eyes widened, Jay and Ana were also in shock. A dead silence fell over the room.

"What? Why?"

Irnia herself broke the silence.

"Isn't that what you wanted? I'm just getting your wish. I can't force someone to like me."

She didn't seem to believe it. I expected a different reaction, maybe happiness to be rid of me.

"Now you're free to run after her. Good luck, she's a hard person to please." I said to the blond guy in front of me.

"Do you think this is going to change anything? I'm still going to finish you off."

I sighed. This guy must be in trouble at home, Irina is just the tip of the iceberg, he must see me as a punching bag for stress relief.

He was still holding me by the uniform, I grabbed one of his wrists and said.

"Let me go."

I squeezed so hard he was forced to let go of me. A red mark remained on his arm.

"I'm going to spank you." He said.

"May come."

I prepared to fight him, this guy only has physical strength. He must have no knowledge of fighting.

"What's going on here?"

It was Julia's voice.

"Blake, it's the first day of school and you're already making trouble."

So, this blond haired idiot's name is Blake.

"I'm sorry president." Blake said.

"The break is over. You and your group go back to the living room."

"OK "

The three who were with Blake left the room. Blake himself started walking towards the exit of the room.

As he passed me he said in a low voice.

"At the end of class I will finish you off."

Hearing his threat I gave the same smile I used to give my enemies. It was a smile full of evil.

"If you lay a finger on me. I'll kill you."

After that, he left the room.
