Profound Sky Continent.(1)

"So, that's the story of your life hm? Sigh, how tragic."

A giant old man with an unusually long beard sat cross-legged before the soul of the now-deceased Abel, looking at him with a solemn expression as he closed a small book in his hands.

"W-where am I?", Abel asked as his eyes darted around the large white room.

A gentle look appeared on the man's face as he said slowly, "Young one, you are dead, and this is the reincarnation chamber."

Contrary to his humongous and intimidating appearance, the old man's voice was surprisingly soft.

"Rein- what? Who are you?"

The old man seemed amused at Abel's consistently timid tone of voice. Thinking back to the circumstances of Abel's life, he couldn't help but sigh once again.

"Young Abel, my name is...well, call me John. You are in the reincarnation chamber, a place where those that die unfairly, like yourself, get a second chance at life. Hehe, no harm will befall you here so there's no need to be so scared."

Listening to the man's soothing words, Abel slowly calmed down and digested what he just heard.

Reincarnation chamber...

An unfair death...

A second chance at life...?!

Abel's head shot up as he looked at the old man in shock. Having a second chance at life was possible? He almost couldn't believe it. Hearing that he could have a chance to finally live a better life was like music to his ears.

"Mr...uhh Sir John, this...am I really...are you telling the truth?"

John threw his head back and laughed boisterously when he heard Abel's words.

"Truth? Of course, I'm telling the truth boy! I couldn't lie even if I wanted to! Matter of fact, I already have a world in mind!"

Abel suddenly became nervous as he shook his little hands fiercely, saying, "I hope it's not the same place I was before!"

John laughed once again as he slowly shook his head.

"No, no Young Abel. This is a whole new world with fantastical creatures, men who can fly in the sky, breathe fire, some can even walk on water! It's several times better than your last home! You'll even have all the food you want!"

"Ah!"

Abel was immensely shocked and his eyes lit up as he thought about the possibilities.

'Breathing fire...how great is that?!'

Barely able to control himself, Abel took a deep breath and said, "Sir John,-"

"Before you make a decision, listen."

John interrupted Abel as a serious expression appeared on his face. He stroked his beard as he took a few side glances at the book that contained the information on Abel's past life.

"As magical and wondrous as this world is, it's equally as dangerous, maybe even more so. There will be murder, betrayal, and death at every corner, but if you manage to pull through, the reward will be worth it. Remember, you have a choice, I can send you to this world, or a world similar to your last one, the only difference is, you would be taken care of by wealthy parents this time. What do you think?"

John didn't want to leave such an important choice up to a child at this moment but he had no choice. This was his duty as a guardian of the reincarnation chamber.

"No pro-"

Abel was just about to respond but he quickly shut his mouth after realizing the gravity of the situation. Although he was only 7 years old in his past life, due to his hellish circumstances, he was forced to be a lot more mature than the average 7-year-old.

That might not be saying a lot considering that he was only 7, but since he was making such a life-altering decision, that extra bit of experience mattered.

He clenched his hands into fists as he thought about what he wanted to do. The pressure was immense.

'This...this is hard. Well, it should be easy, because who wouldn't pick a life where they were constantly being taken care of by rich parents? It's almost stress-free. I would be able to eat to my heart's content! Compare that to a life of...murder...and betrayal...but in return, I would be able to fly and breathe fire...Hm, I think my choice is made.'

Abel took a deep breath as a resolute look appeared in his eyes.

"Sir John, send me to the world where I'll be able to breathe fire and fly."

He said this to John with no change in his expression or demeanor, meaning that he was completely serious.

A wry smile appeared on John's face as he thought, 'Sigh, he be a bit more mature than others, but in the end, he's still a child...'

John snapped his fingers and a large door seemingly appeared out of nowhere behind him. The door had many unreadable letters and it was obvious that not even John knew what was engraved upon the door.

But, that was not why he summoned it.

With a flick of his wrist, the door opened, revealing a plain white light that seemed as if it was alive because of its odd movements.

"Alright Abel, you've made your choice, go through that door, and you'll arrive in the world that you chose. I've also given you two gifts to help you along your journey. When you arrive in the world, they will be revealed to you."

Although Abel was still in a bit of a daze due to the situation before him, he was focusing on everything word John said. Seeing that he was about to be sent off caused ripples of emotion to surge within his heart as tears came to his eyes. He was going to get a second chance again in life!

How could he not be happy?

Not forgetting his manners, Abel clasped his hands behind his back and bowed deeply toward John, thanking him for what he did.

With his usual gentle smile, John just looked at him and said, "It's my duty, Young Abel. No need to thank me for that. Now, go. Take care of yourself. The world is waiting for you."

Abel held back his tears and quickly rushed through the door, fully expecting to arrive in a lush green world ripe with active wildlife.

But, contrary to his expectations, he arrived in a situation that he was unable to process for a short while.

{Profound Sky Continent, New Moon City, home of the Di Clan.}

"Wahhhhhhhh!"

The sound of a baby's cry reverberated loudly in the room as a middle-aged woman looked at him lovingly in her arms while laying on the bed. The handsome man at her side, who was around 30 years old, held onto her shoulders lightly as he also looked at the baby in the woman's arms.

"Congratulations on a healthy baby boy, Sir Di, and Miss Fen!"

The nurse who delivered the boy stood a certain way away from the couple as she gave her congratulations with a warm smile on her face.

Hearing the woman's kind words, Sir Di calmly replied, "Thank you, Miss Ming. You may leave in a bit after we're sure that there are no complications with..."

The man's body seemed to shake heavily as he arrived at this point within his sentence. How could he forget something so important?!

He was so enamored with the fact that he had a son that his mind was in a haze, forgetting even the basic procedures!

Almost as if she sensed her husband's distress, a beautiful smile appeared on Fen Xiyue's face as she said, "Husband, look at our son's handsome face. Soft as a pillow but devilishly cute. Hehe, he looks like you a lot."

She then stroked the little hairs on his head as she continued, "Our Burning Heaven Clan will be blessed to have him. I can feel it. Hn, let's name him...Di Tian."

The man, Di Renkong, stood there silently as he pondered upon the name. After a few seconds, he nodded his head firmly and said, "Hm, Di Tian...good name! It's a very arrogant name but, only something like that could fit my son! Father will love it!"

The woman slowly nodded back but her gaze never left the baby in her arms once. It was as if only her son existed in her eyes at this current moment.

But, how could she know that her newborn baby was currently in a state of confusion?

'I'm a baby again? These are my...parents? I thought my arrival would've been more...quiet and I had would have to fend for myself once again. But who would've thought..that I was so lucky...'
