Plans

A few days passed after I arrived in Marva and started helping Sabrina in her restaurant.

All our days were the same as always, waking up shortly after dawn and walking to the restaurant where I helped her clean and serve the customers who arrived.

Sabrina was a very charismatic person and had been telling me a lot about witches these past few days.

She looked surprised that I was already able to communicate with the energy of the heavens and the earth, as it was unusual for me to do this before I was twenty.

She always seemed to have wanted a daughter because after I accepted to live with, her and she was overjoyed, as if she had made a fortune and started buying me various utensils, from accessories, makeup, clothes, I had to stop Sabrina ou she would buy the whole store, which made me laugh with happiness and gratitude for her help.

"Elora!" I heard a familiar voice behind me as I tried to remember who it might be, until I realized it was Arthur, with that beaming smile on his face like nothing could go wrong.

"Damn it!" I cursed in my mind but outwardly flashed my usual smile. "Artur! How are you?"

"Great! How about you? Are you working at the restaurant now?"

"Obviously, no!?" That's what I wanted to say, but I didn't let my thoughts show. "I'm great as you can see and yes, I'm working at the restaurant now, the owner was an acquaintance of my family and she will take me in while I'm in Marva" I smiled as I answered.

"It's good to know that so I can see you more often" Arthur seemed very enthusiastic about what I had told him, it was a little uncomfortable but I had to put up with it. "would you like to place your order?" I asked trying to end the conversation"

"Oh yes! Of course" I took Arthur's order and went back to the kitchen to have the dish prepared while Sabrina walked towards me with a playful smile on her face. "I see you made a friend, a very energetic friend"

"We're not really friends, he just helped me out as a guide once I got to Marva, plus it's not very nice to talk to people like him." I made a face showing my displeasure.

"Don't be like that Elora, with time you get used to it" She tried to comfort me which didn't help much.

"It's not that I don't like him, it's just that I don't like to spend so much energy on people like him." I frowned as I continued. "It's just too exhausting, they just like to talk a lot..." He concludes while analyzing the pros and cons trying to see if it was worth the effort.

"*laughs* I see, but give him a chance, it's good to have friends and you're still young, don't be so serious!"

I sighed as I took Arthur's order and walked back to his desk. "Here is your order!"

"Thanks then... Would you like to sit down and talk for a while? I believe Lady Sabrina won't mind, right?"

"Of course! Feel free, make this girl loosen up a little, she's very serious" Before I could even respond came Sabrina's voice from the other end, I could only resign myself to my fate and face Arthur's lecture, must be alright, right?

"So Elora, have you already made plans for your stay in Marva?" Arthur started asking me right after I got settled in my seat.

I took a moment to reflect before answering. "Not yet... I don't know much about Marva and as I've just arrived, I'm still adapting to the new changes..."

"So, how about trying to get into the Royal Academy, here in Marva the Academy is very revered, as a student you will have many benefits, in addition to being able to access a private library, riding lessons, hunting, general knowledge among other things."

I looked at him and listened carefully, for the first time since we met he said something that I really cared about.

"Interesting" I muttered as a genuine smile blossomed on my face.
