Arranged in order from 1st to 300th place, there were those who passed the year-end selection of the Royal Academy. After the announcement, the square erupted in murmurs, voices full of happiness and sadness were heard all the time.

"I passed! I passed!"

"*sniff* I couldn't get past *sniff*"

Several voices spoke at the same time and only after nearly ten minutes did the noise cease and the teachers were able to continue with the procedures.

"As previously reported, those who fail will be able to try the test again at the next end lyear or the special test in two months, it's up to you." There was a small pause before the teacher continued. "Now, the who have passed, congratulations, we are happy that you are now part of our community, we are going to continue with the enrollment and interviews, you have received the material and guidelines for the beginning of classes, and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask, we go calling your names, uponn hear the your, follow the professor who called you to carry out the procedures, to those who fail, I will be kind enough to ask you to disperse from the square"

After the completion of the advertisements, the square began to empty until only the 300 approved and their relatives were left.

"Then let's get started... First of all, Elora Aires, please come with me"

Hearing my name, I slowly got up and turned to Sabrina. "I will be back in a moment"

"I'll be waiting"

I walked gracefully towards the guidance counselor under everyone's gaze, it was deathly silent.

I followed the guidance counselor and only after turning my back did I hear the small murmurs.

"Aires... What noble family is she from?"

"I have no idea, I have never heard of a family named Aires in the capital"

"A commoner then? She's beautiful"

I ignored the comments and continued on my way, arriving at a room where it appeared to be the reception, I continued with the registration procedures before being directed to an adjacent room where the interview would take place.

I answered simple questions about where I lived, age, hobbies, ideals, and future planning before being released and guided to another room where I received my uniform and materials.

"This is the Academy guide, make sure you read it and if you have any questions you can ask when classes start"

"Okay, thanks" I thanked her and headed back to the square where I spotted Sabrina. She also got up and took some of the materials she was carrying.

We left and called a carriage to return home. The entire procedure was simple and quick and we were soon at home.

It was a week until classes started and I was eager to get started.

With a smile on my face and looking at the landscape around me I muttered to myself. "Royal Academy…can't wait!"

I was happy, but I didn't even know that occult forces started to move and the wheels of fate turned with fervor.

Was the Academy a blessing or a curse on my journey?
