I can't answer that either, I don't even know what I am to be more exact, my mind is blank and when I try to remember there aren't many results...

I can only tell you that something is happening, something big and menacing is approaching, and for some reason I am involved in all of this.

The Lady of the Witches

Two months had almost passed and, finally, the Academy's first challenge was coming: the bimonthly exams.


The result of this assessment would reflect the opportunities and gains that we, as students of the Royal Academy, would receive.


"As you all know, next week the bimonthly evaluations will be held" I heard teacher Breno say right after entering the room. "And as I have told you before, based on the results presented you will be ranked in a ranking of your series and receive merit points as a reward, which in turn can be used to receive certain benefits from the Academy or even outside of it, the evaluations will be carried out throughout the week, with the first two days being the written tests and the other four days the practical tests will be held, all tests will be in the morning, leaving them free in the afternoon"


"With merit points, you can gain access to some restricted areas within the Academy, in addition to being able to get certain rare materials you are looking for, obtain favors, as well as being a bargaining chip within Marva, 1 Merit Point is worth 10000 Platinum Coins, so...use them wisely"


Right after the speeches ended, the most diverse people could be heard in shock and taking a deep breath with the information they had just received.

I arched my eyebrows with interest and a hint of a smile was visible in my eyes as I muttered. "Interesting"


"I don't want to ruin your happiness, but remember one detail" Breno commented suddenly when he saw the joy stamped on the students' faces. "Only the top ten will receive merit points, from 10th place to 5th place will be given 1 merit point, 4th place will receive 2 merit points, 3rd place 4 merit points, 2nd place 8 merit points and 1st place will receive a total of 16 merit points, so good luck to you."


"Besides, if you get a grade below the minimum required, get ready to be invited to leave the Academy" He concludes with a slight smile on his face that caused shivers in those who looked.


After a few more warnings and guidelines we were released to go get ready for the next week.


"Elora! Wait a moment, I'd like to talk to you for a bit" Before I could leave, I heard Professor Breno call me and I walked gracefully towards him before asking. "What could I help you with, teacher?"


"Well, I don't want to delay you for too long, in two months there will be an exchange event between the realms and I would like you to be part of the debate group, what would you say?"


First Professor Lana and then Professor Breno, am I that flashy by any chance?


"Teacher, teacher Lana from one of the practical classes has also made me a proposal and-"


"Don't worry, all competitions will be at different times, please think about it" He seemed almost to be pleading which made me inwardly sigh.


"I'll think about your proposal and after the bimonthly evaluations I'll give you an answer, will you?"


Saying goodbye to Breno I could only sigh and mutter to myself. "I should have been more discreet, shouldn't I?"
