The peace of a kingdom depends mainly on its ruler, but this balance, however competent the monarch, does not last forever.

Where did I come from?

I can't answer that either, I don't even know what I am to be more exact, my mind is blank and when I try to remember there aren't many results...

I can only tell you that something is happening, something big and menacing is approaching, and for some reason I am involved in all of this.

What to do now?

Alright... To tell the truth, I haven't thought about it yet, I think I'll take a nap and then I'll make a decision, good luck to you if you want to burn your neurons trying to find a solution *yawn* I'm going to sleep and don't wake me up!

The Lady of the Witches

Seeing the mountain of papers piled up in front of me, I could only let out a grunt of displeasure before going back to reviewing the documents.


After graduation and I had officially come of age, I didn't even have time to breathe properly until my uncle made me help with kingdom affairs.


"Wow, how much paper!" Exclaimed Arthur as he entered the room.


"Don't even tell me..." I muttered still looking at the document that was in my hands.


I watched him sit down and went back to my work.


Arthur was of great help, with his help we quickly managed to sort all that paperwork by cause, be it political, economic or population issues, and in order of priority.


So the day went by until we were finally done.


"Finally we're done" I muttered as tiredness overcame me.


"*laughs* Yes, we're done" Echoed Arthur. "That was a lot of work for one day"


I turned my gaze to Arthur and grunted. "And I bet my uncle dumped most of his work on me and is now enjoying his laser hours in his personal courtyard"


"Don't blame him, he's been in control of a nation for over twenty years, I believe he must be eager to pass the throne to you"


I rolled my eyes at his statement, but I didn't refute it because it was true, my uncle was already a middle-aged man and couldn't wait to pass the crown.


Hearing the knock on the door, we stopped talking before straightening up and answering. "You may come in"


Soon I saw a familiar figure pass through the door and I couldn't help but rise from my chair as I exclaimed. "Grandfather!"


"Brayan, I see that Aran didn't take it easy on you" He said as he looked at the pile of papers on the table.


I gave him a small smile and agreed with him before asking. "What brought the Lord here?"


"Oh sure, within a week we will hold a meeting in Brigido, all the representatives of the five kingdoms will be there, as well as their heirs, Aran asked me to let you know that you must be present and that you can call your friends to go with you, as all of you will probably hold public office in the future and it's good that you start to understand how the kingdom works"


"Of course, I'll be there and pass the message on to them"


As Arthur was already present, he replied. "I will certainly be present Old Lord Mordha"


Saying goodbye to my grandfather, I went back to talking to Arthur for the next few hours and we didn't stop until after dark.


Leaving the office, I went back to my room, looking forward to getting back to Brigido.
