Recognition (part 07)

Lun's point of view:

The journey and return flowed smoothly.

Three days later we were back at the discreet mansion in Brigido.

When we arrived at the gates Joyce received us calmly and urged us to go and rest in our quarters, the other teams were still on their way and the Matriarch had not yet returned, the only thing left for us to do was rest from the long journey.

* * *

Two days later, everyone had returned, and after a day of rest, we were gathered in the main meeting hall to report our findings.

* * *

The meeting lasted an entire afternoon, and only after the sun had set over the horizon did we all return to our quarters.

Collapsing on my bed, I went over what I had been discussing all that afternoon.

Stopping to reflect was somehow a little surreal.

Six ruins, all located in totally different places, but all were almost identical, few things were different from one another.

And making the whole situation even more surreal, apparently the central ruin, which was ten halls off the main hall, was an almost identical replica of all the other ruins.

It was identified that some things were different, but nothing that could be affirmed in the short term.

The Primal Chaos Tribe was long extinct and many of its records were lost to the passage of time, which made our search for answers even more difficult.

Still lying down I looked at the ceiling in a trance, which piece is missing?

After so long, it's like we're all on a big chessboard where we can't predict the enemy's next move.

The tension and apprehension inside us only increased and time passed without our control, it was a strange feeling and we were not used to feeling.

Closing my eyes and breathing deeply, those five sentences still resonated in my thoughts.

"From chaos everything came and that's where all sins are healed"

"We thank the rulers of the universe for maintaining order"

"As bearers of your voice, we thank you for your trust in us"

"We offer our flesh and blood"

"To show them our position and express our gratitude"

This was our only clue and the only path we could follow, I felt that these words could be the key to deciphering this hitherto indecipherable riddle.
