Turnaround

Arlene's point of view:

It took a long time for me to compose myself.

But I didn't leave the room right away, I decided to stay there for the rest of the morning, watching.

It might seem strange but I felt that I should stay there and that something would happen and from an early age I learned that it was best to always follow my instincts.

The hours passed but nothing happened, I continued to watch my daughter sleeping peacefully and although her relaxed expression still brought anguish to me, she also comforted me.

Soon breakfast was served and I asked to be brought up to the room, don't permise anyone to get in, I continued to wait patiently.

Looking out the window I saw that the day outside was sunny, the birds were singing and the flowers were blooming beautifully.

I sighed softly watching the beautiful landscape through the window, leaned back in my chair and closed my eyes to rest.

While sleeping, I had a strange dream.

The whole space was dark and you could barely see what was ahead, I walked aimlessly for hours but couldn't find anything.

During this aimless walk, I suddenly saw several bright lights and after hesitating for a while I headed in that direction.

Finding the source, I was surprised to find a familiar figure passed out in the middle of nowhere and those seemingly harmless lights devouring it.

"Elora!?"

My brain froze for a while when I finally ran towards him.

But at that moment, a blinding light appeared pushing me back and forming a barrier, preventing me from reaching it.

And in the midst of despair and over my surprised gaze, a third mysterious force emerged.

Something that seemed to come from primordial times and that peered into time and space.

I saw that mysterious gray colored force approach Elora and slowly envelop her completely, isolating her from the force that intended to destroy her.

Watching the gray energy enter her body and prevent her spirit degradation, I felt happy and worried at the same time.

I didn't know the origin of that or what repercussions it would bring in the future.

That's when I felt my vision blur and when I opened my eyes again, I was back in my room.

Taking a few deep breaths to settle my heart, I got up quickly and walked back to the side of the bed.

Seeing the situation, I couldn't help but have a beaming smile full of joy appear on my face.

Looking again at the beautiful young woman lying on the bed, I saw that her face was flushed again and that her breathing was as vigorous as before. She was still alive!
