Chapter 2: Survival of the Strongest

The small creature stood up to a whittled excuse of a trench, the Transcendent blood literally melted all his chances of cover, leaving him stuck in the open amidst all of his siblings.

Fortunately the insect's claw remained in its clutches although it was slightly thinner than before, but the same can't be said about the corpse beneath him. This poor insect is in a pitiful and splintered state, as it could not bare the changes to the creature's weight that is laying on top of it, slowly crushing an already brittle frame.

It appears the little ones mass has indeed increased during this bloody tribulation, further benefits must be studied at a later date but this gave him a sliver of hope for the future, if he survives.

Because the thought of impending doom still lingered in the back of his mind, as he gazed upon this utter behemoth of a man that stood at almost 500ft tall.

[AN: Damn he could dwarf 20!4's G#dz*lla, that's a big fella haha]

The little creature would need to sit down in order to not fall backwards, even though this deity is 50 meters away, thankfully the little one was far below its line of sight.

Trying to adapt to the pressure, the small creature was struck by fear and reverence as he understood that his siblings puny squabbling meant nothing to this giant. It is the absolute pinnacle of this world, it feels like all under heaven could not do a thing to its thick hide.

Kronos, the first being to strike true awe into the tiny creature's heart, (This one leaves a mightier impression than our panic ridden father!). Possessing crimson eyes that personified all the alluring qualities of leadership, although the little one did not know this behemoths name, his aura can preach volumes of its overbearing existence. Only equipped with his menacing jade coloured sickle that shimmered ominously as blood dripped from its blade.

Majority of Kronos's attire are rags made from the skin of colossal beasts, which goes to show that not all creatures are predominantly made of stone. But these clothes didn't do anything to prevent this volcanic skinned giant from the filth that builds up in the pits of Tartarus.

Perhaps Kronos's hatred for his father becomes natural, considering the hellish conditions they must have survived through, spending eons of his childhood in exile.

This explains the smouldering gaze pointed towards the sky, reflecting this Gods desire to set the whole sky a blaze. Just so he can weed out our cowardly father that fled towards the North-western skies.

.....Meanwhile.....

As all this commotion unfolded many of the small creature's siblings fled in different directions, some were fortunate enough to be gifted wings.

Feeling like they were favoured by him, they spread their wings and flew to our father's side. The little one felt a tinge of jealousy at those who had the ability to fly and have a rather beautiful appearance with their bodies akin to white marble, and their elegant features.

Those who are lucky enough tend to gain more benefits, the same can be said for these angelic creatures who will sow the ties of western religion.

In the midst of having no cover at all, the tiny one realised that a mere exhale could cause a small hurricane that can toss him away faster than a spec of dust. Honestly his whole thought process was so fast, he already started digging into the earth using the claw as a shovel, it tried his best to break up the solid ground with its puny strength.

"BROTHER...!!"

Everything changed when this Primordial drifted down the mountain, for the entire landscape became extremely hot, even the atmosphere could not withstand the intense heat.

As it created a bubble of heat that expanded quite violently as it forced the air outwards in a shockwave, similar to a thermal nuclear bomb.

Thankfully the little creature was enveloped by the bubble of heat long before the shockwave had a chance to form in front of him, or else that would have been deadly.

Although a good 40% of the Little ones siblings were completely decimated in literally one breath, ( I made the right choice in staying close, or that would have been me sent flying)

Kronos took a glance at this flame mantled God, with fiery hair equipped with a miniature sun that floats behind him.

"Hyperion!" exclaimed Kronos.

This blinding deity slowly hovered beside Kronos, the closer he got to the surface the hotter it became. If he stood firmly on the ground this deity could essentially melt a tunnel straight down to Tartarus.

Next to Kronos he was measured at 460ft with a rather handsome appearance with wicks of flame radiates of his body. His torso is left bare since any normal clothing will be burnt to ashes by either himself or the miniature Sun on his back personifying his title as The Scarlet Guardian of the East.

Oddly enough the extreme heat did not effect the little creature by much, the brightness of his flames only irritated its eyesight and increased the temperature. Well if you could call it luck, he was tempered just moment ago, this heat that's intense enough to melt solid rock. It became insanely hot in a second, expanding 5 kilometres across everything was just boiling.

All of his tempered siblings from before that was frantically digging for shelter, no longer needed to try. The hardened stone changed to a thick molten earth that slowly dragged the little monsters down, and the more they struggled, the faster they sunk.

(Well it's not exactly a shelter but that's fine), he came to the conclusion of they needed to be neither seen, nor heard, for the sake of their own survival. But something felt off, it's like his instincts was screaming at him (((it's not over!!))).

A split second later the small creature's world view changed once more, with the arrival of another Primordial God who glided down the mountain in quick succession.

"Already pressuring the young'ns, how very fatherly of you!!"

The hypocritical tone of this Titan irritated Hyperion's ears and his flames were quickly doused out by this next Beings power to flash freeze the surrounding area. The previous heatwave was not enough as this cold front dropped the temperature, immediately freezing upon contact.

Spreading on any solid surface, ice crystals formed everywhere like frozen grass, even between the joints of a few little monsters.

It was equally as abrupt as the flame god before him, although a complete opposite of his hot tempered brother Hyperion who is brutally straight forward.

Cryius was known to be a cold, mischievous individual, personifying his frozen demeanour as The Icy Guardian of the South, who stood eye to eye with Hyperion. Poised with a glacial wing span and beautiful crystalline feathers that dazzled many new born below.

The small creature included, this Titans cool disposition takes this deity to a new level of elegance.

(Onto thee I give to you, I can easily take it away!!) The Small creature thought, Beings that can do whatever they want on a mere whim are the most envious existence in the world.

(What does it take to get that kind of power?) right now he only managed to submerge the lower half of his body beneath the earth before it froze stiff.

With options running thin furthermore encumbered by the frost the tiny creature braced himself with the claw stabbed into the ground. Using his insect claw's slightly sharp edge he wanted to slice through frozen slate rock, really fixing it into the earth.

The little ones mind felt anxious as its instincts screamed louder and louder, signifying the coming of something painful approaching.

.....We Continue.....

Unimpressed by his two brothers entrances, Kronos stood there calmly as these two Primordials conversed behind him, for he was anticipating the next arrival to show his face.

"Cease your NONSENSE!!"

As if answering his summons, a violent tornado was ripping the sky apart, creating a solid cone of air that caused sonic booms as it dropped from above, the cold down draft sped up his descent causing catastrophic ruptures as it pierced into the frozen earth.

....CCCrashhhh!!!.....

The impact created whole canyons expanding miles across, that resembled shattered glass if you look at it with Google Earth. Followed closely by gale force winds roaring through the freshly opened ravine, cutting it deeper into the planets depths.

Like the webs of spider it spreads from a centre point, which is just a few miles away from the Little creature.

Struggling to remain conscious as the pain of almost being ripped in half the Small one gritted its teeth, as he tries to stay grounded.

Sauntering up, Iapetus stood along side his brothers as three Elder Titans gathered beside Kronos, each varying between 400 to 500ft tall wearing the same type of rags.

Except for the newest addition to the crew, Iapetus dropped in at a towering 490ft skyscraper that's heavily armoured in some kind of insectoid Kaiju carcass. He was obviously a skilled craftsman, for his armour has an overlord-ish appeal to it, even the filth that covered it only added darker details.

With his weapon in hand, a 500m long pike was always paired by his side, with it's tip pointed towards the heavens, crafted out of a metal that's foreign to the human periodic table.

Painfully, even though the small creature braced for this impact, it did not matter as the shockwave still ripped him out of the ground anyway. His frozen limbs felt like they're shattering and reforming endlessly sending a sparking sensation through his body.

Whilst constantly being twisted around and around in a whirlwind, not knowing which way was up the little one would often roll along the ground. Making the sparks of electricity coursing through his body all the more noticeable, (What is this??) he wondered if it was useful as it arced between the small ones fingers.

The electricity travelled up his spine and manifested into his head making its eyes glow blue, within a 1/3rd of a second the small one saw his entire situation.

He was awkwardly being flown head first towards the edge of a cliff, his eyes locked onto the edge he pulled he knees his chest whilst gripping the claw with two hands raised behind his back. This tiny creature tilted its weight backwards completing semi-backflip while swinging a claw into the cliff edge

[AN: It could give squirrels a run for their money.]

By managing to grab a hold of a cliffs edge, far from the shockwaves epicentre he clung to that claw for dear life. He remained there securely, even digging his toes into the cracked earth,(What do these beings want??). More individuals continue only to add more questions, it's doubtful that he'll hear the answer anytime soon.

One after another, these Titans fell from the mountains peak (What happened up there, that could merit such destruction??) He pondered. Being born albeit 20 minutes ago, really limited the amount of information he could process in a short frame of time, luckily there is a lot of free space in his head right now. So filling his mind with the image of these colossal beings that he aspires to become, did not seem like a bad idea.

(I shall witness the sheer might of these Beings for as long as I can!!) the small creature felt his passion to find his own path to strength.

....You know what's next....

"Hmmmm, what's your problem Iapetus?" flared Hyperion, if you insult him once it's annoying, but if you insult him twice you'd better be strong enough to live through it in order to say a third. After seeing Hyperion's eyes glow hotter, Cryius mischievously followed up with "Yeah we were just having some fun" this quote ticked the flame God right over the edge and straight into his fist.

But this Sun incarnate was interrupted by, " Enough!! Cryius, stop being so snide." Iapetus tried to reason with these two contrasting Deities. "Hmmppff!!" Kronos seemed amused by his brothers bickering then he turned to the God on his right and spoke, "Hyperion, signal the others."

These words made the small creature's body shiver, despite not knowing this utterly foreign language that they are speaking, he could sense their intention through his mind. With that being said he continued watching their powers and tried to get a grasp of these words they used to communicate. To which he thought, if he's lucky he could pick up the language after a few more encounters.

The tiny ones siblings however are not so well off as they have heightened senses, hearing and otherwise rather than intellect, the majority barely had any ego or ambition only instinct. So to them the sounds that reverberated out of these behemoths only succeeded in giving them a headache.

Superseding the Titans argument Hyperion controlled the miniature sun on his back to fly towards the sky. His eyes flared with a golden aura that enveloped his entire body, this same energy swelled inside of the miniature sun, causing it to grow exponentially larger. Honestly you'd forget that it's night-time whenever this hot head is around, sighed the little one.

Hyperion's Sun grew big enough to seemingly banish all shadow from the surface of the earth, igniting all of the extremely flammable gasses that permeates this worlds primeval atmosphere. This excess fuel helped the growing process, further expanding the sun's size, the largest football stadium in history can only account for barely 1/3rd of its grandeur before it's expansion. Thankfully it was stationed higher than the sky slightly poking out of the sky and into the vacuum of space, as the sun's thermal energy made the sky burn in all directions.

Akin to Gas giants like Jupiter, our home planet was once an incredibly violent and catastrophic world that it's scientifically impossible for life to have existed. With a sky that encased the planet with mostly helium and metallic hydrogen among other things that's albeit different to our humble earth.

All creatures born on this planet have highly adaptive senses that allow them to perceive their surroundings clearly, abilities humans can only dream of possessing. For example geographical sense, the ability to utilise the earth to see, by sensing vibration this makes it nearly impossible to get lost neither above nor below. If a human were to ever gaze into this timeline all they would see is the clouds of cosmic dust and the arcs of electricity between them, cause humans rely too heavily on photon particles in order to see.

We can't completely adhere to what Hyperion is trying to accomplish right now, but one thing does remain for certain. He is fulfilling his brother Kronos's desire to set the sky a blaze, whilst shining pure sunlight deep down into the dark canyon below.

Unlike before he is not heating anything up, only making things much brighter, even the little creature and his siblings found it quite unbearable, but luckily their senses have already adjusted to the extreme luminescence.

....CCCRRRUUNNNCCHHH!!!...

Deep beneath the earth, so deep that Hyperion's light can barely reach it, something started to move, quake and crumble, as the ravines shifted further and further apart. Out of curiosity the tiny one peered over the edge, then followed the canyon wall down, thousands of kilometres below the surface, until he gazed into the abyssal entrance of the Underworld.

This was perhaps the little ones first mistake, letting curiosity get the better of him, and his second mistake was believing that nothing else could possibly stare back at it.

[AN: Don't stare too long into the Abyss!]

From the deep abyss a horrendous creature looked upwards with fifty pairs of eyes all dotted around a single colossal frame that protruded one hundred arms from its back, this member of the giant clan are called Hecatonchires. Huddled closely by many hundreds of its kind that varied differently depending on the breed, some of which were adorned in crude but intimidating armour. With one predominantly large eye and horn that almost encompassed 2/3rds of this creatures face, as a another member of the giant clan called Cyclops.

Peering into just one canyon out of many, uncovered thousands of giants and unique monsters that were never transcribed into myths nor given any specific name that can be remembered in human history. But All of these colossal giants that dwelled beneath our feet were now rising to the surface, to which all of whom have never seen, since the day of their birth.

The Giants completely ignored the small creature's existence, as they focused solely on their own arduous task of scaling up this steep canyon wall. Clamouring together fiercely, as the earth shook, some died during the attempt but those that reached the surface paid no mind to the youngsters below them. Breaking and shattering everything just by merely standing to their feet, many of the small creature's siblings fell into the canyon due to this monstrous action.

Although some got the chance to latch onto a few giant carcasses of those unfortunate Kaijus that didn't make it. Further providing food for thousands of little monsters, as all of them go on a rampage towards the seriously injured Kaijus and Giants, viciously eating through their wounds.

The fiery depiction of a hellish inferno, where the strong crush the weak and the weak swarm the injured. One would need an army of Gods to barely seal them all away, it is truly a horrifying scene.

[AN: Talk about Hell on earth haha]
