~Lilith's POV~

Waking up I try to stand but a weight on my stomach stops me. Forcing my eyes to open, I look down and see Daisy still curled up on me. I smile and start running my hand through her hair. I start thinking over what my options are. I could go back to sleep, just lay here and wait for Daisy to wake up, or just get up now to eat...

'As much as I would like to stay here and lay down all day, I'm hungry.'

"Daisy come on, we gotta get up..." I shake her a little only for her to burrow further into my stomach.

"Noooo, five more minutes" she mumbles.

'Well, she asked for it.' I snake my hands down to her sides and make my attack!

"hehe Ha HAHA! NOO STOP! I'M AWAKE I'M UP!" she shouts out after I start tickling her.

"Alright I'll stop, what do you want to eat?"

"I'll eat whatever you get..." Daisy responds to which I nod and walk into the kitchen.

Rummaging through the fridge I dragged out a dozen eggs, butter, and a carton of orange juice. I also grabbed some bread from the cabinet next to the fridge.

Grabbing a large bowl and a fork, I cracked all the eggs and poured their contents into said bowl. Using the fork to mix all the eggs I kept stirring them until I felt they were good.

Walking over to the stove put a pan on it and turned the burner to low once I put butter on it. I spread the melting butter around the pan, making sure to get all of it. Once the butter was fully melted I poured the mixed eggs into the pan and turned the burner to max. Using a plastic spatula I kept turning the eggs over to cook all sides of the eggs. I kept flipping them until i felt that the eggs were cooked enough, and turned off the burner.

I then took four slices of bread and put them in the toaster. I popped them out before they got brunt, if I were to bite into them It would be crunchy but not too hard to bite. I smeared some butter on them and got cinnamon and sugar from the cabinet I got then bread from. I poured some cinnamon and sugar into a red plastic cup and mixed them with a spoon. I poured a bit of it on each piece of buttered toast.

Grabbing two plates, I put half the eggs on one and half the eggs on the other. I grab two slices of toast and smush them together,, doing the same with the other two slices. I put one toast sandwich on my plate and put the other on Daisy's. Taking the two plates I put a fork on each before I walk back out to the living room, and set them on the table in front of the couch.

Looking over at Daisy, I see she's just sitting there staring at the food so I cough a little.

"Ah, I mean thank you! the food looks wonderful!" She says before digging in.

Nodding to myself I look at my plate and admire the food before I start to eat. The toast is golden brown and the eggs look cloudy but don't fall apart the second I impale it with my fork. Lifting the fork up to my mouth I take a bite... these are the best eggs I've ever made. Despite not adding salt or pepper, they still taste perfect. Moving onto the toast, I sink my teeth into the sandwich. The result was great! Sugar, cinnamon, and butter go great together on toast.

[Hows the food?] Kali asks reminding me of her existence.

[It's great, probably the best I've made despite how simple it is.] I respond smiling to myself.

Daisy eats in silence zoning out while looking at me, while Kali and I have a conversation to pass time.

___

After putting the plates into the sink to wash later, I look blankly at the two cups of orange juice I forgot to bring out with the food. Grabbing the cups I walk back to the couch and hand a cup to Daisy and ask how the food was.

"It was great! Never knew scrambled eggs could taste that good! I also don't know why I never thought to put cinnamon and sugar on buttered toast before..." mumbling the last part Daisy looks back at me, "What do you have planned today?"

"Nothing! Well not nothing, it's more like something that I'm doing alone without leaving the apartment... You can do whatever you want just don't leave my sight okay?" I say raising an eyebrow at the end.

"Whatever you want Lilith..." Daisy says and lays back down on the couch.

I nod to myself and sit criss cross applesauce on the floor. I Know that I have knowledge on how to start cultivation, and many different ways to do so. I tried asking Kali how I got it, but she just shrugged it off and said she'll tell me later. Anyway, I want to do this my own way. If I want full control of my life, I have to start now. So i'll take all the knowledge I gained, and start my own path with that while not using any concrete methods that were pointed out.

I close my eyes and take a deep breath in, then out, then in and out. I do that over and over again until I can feel my heart beating. Keeping my concentration, I keep my breathing stable and keep looking in until I feel my blood flowing through my body. I can make a picture of each blood vessel, each nerve, I can feel everything going in on my body.

Shifting my sense through my body, I come across a microscopic multi-colored orb on the inside of my heart. According to what I learned this thing is called the soul core. If you nourish this thing according to the methods I got I can increase its strength. However, I won't be using these methods... I'll make my own by combining them somehow.

Actually I know how, from what I can see there are two main ways to enrich the core. One way would be through using your blood to enrich the core, the other would be to use the worlds energy to power it. I however, will be using the worlds energy to refine my blood and use that blood to enhance the core. First I'll have to sense the worlds energy though. The information was very vague on how to actually obtain the energy, only saying to meditate.

Oh well, here I go. Expanding my senses to the surrounding area I try and pick up on the worlds energy. I imagined me reaching my hand out and grabbing hold of a slippery material. No matter how hard I tried to hold onto it, it kept slipping through my fingers. I... I'm kinda lost? How does one hold onto something that slips by no matter you hold onto it?

Wait... maybe I'm thinking the wrong way. Maybe it's not something you can hold onto, since its in the air it's like air. You can't hold air, normally anyway. Sooo, how do you move air? Let me try and... YES THAT WORKED! Calm down me, I need to keep my concentration. the way to move air would be to, for a lack of better words, suck it in. So, I take a deep breath and feel the air go in my nose and begin its path in my body. Following the air, I try and forcefully separate the worlds energy contained in the air. Since it's in my body, it's a lot easier to weed out the energy and move it straight into my heart.

Once in my heart the energy automatically starts moving towards the core, but I don't want that. Using the power of my will, I force the energy into the blood that resides in the blood chamber in my heart. This is the life force blood that surrounds the core at all times, any person able to cultivate has a blood chamber in the heart. It's cut off from the blood that gets circulated around the body. Once the blood absorbs the energy, I feel a pain in my chest. The blood the chamber starts boiling, and I feel as if I took a punch to the gut. If I wasn't used to pain, I would've cried out by now. I guess blood wasn't made to handle the worlds power? But that doesn't matter! If I want power over my life than I need to be able to do this!

So I waited, and waited, and waited. The pain didn't increase or decrees just staying constant until it vanished all together. Able to focus 100% again, I look into my blood chamber and immediately notice a difference. Though it's not much, the walls in the chamber have gotten a little stronger, i'll figure out how later. Now, I need to repeat this process until I feel that the blood in nourished enough... not now though. I don't think I want to leave Daisy alone that long.

Leaving my body, I'm able to see and feel my surroundings again. The first thing I see is a panicked Daisy pacing around the room. I sit up, and a rag falls off my forehead. Noticing that I'm awake Daisy rushes over and pushes my head back down onto the couch that I somehow ended up on.

"Thank God you're back! I.. y-you were sitting still so I thought you were okay at first, but out of nowhere your face went pale and blood started pouring from your nose! When I went to wake you up you wouldn't get up, a-and you were way too hot! A-and, oh I thought you wouldn't wake up! It's been two days! I don't know what I would do if you di- i'm not even gonna think about it... promise not to leave, please..." Daisy choked out between her sobs and stuffy nose.

Sitting up again I reach out my arms and pull Daisy into a hug.

"I'm fine, I'm not leaving you I promise."
