CHAPTER 23: AWAKENING (1)

CHAPTER 23: AWAKENING (1)

*Whirl!*

The winds squall silently, sending off little white noises about the atmosphere as the clouds gathered.

A little while later, little pieces of snow fell slowly, like feathers gliding through the gentle breeze, acting upon the weight of gravity slowing but surely falling down.

Over the gentle fall of the snowflakes, the Commander stood with his eyes and gazed upon the gruesome sight of blood spilled on the white snow, painting it in a beautiful artwork of red crossed over white, and his hand sword painted in red.

Spanning past the red painted work, two beheaded bodies laying cold onto the white snow were apparent, right around the Commander.

Surely the sight was eagerly magnificent, but also dreadful as the painted artwork gave off a deep scent of frozen iron and the silent sound of a graveyard.

*Drop*

A small perk of snowflake fell on the Commander's arm. Thereafter, he gazed up to the sky as he noticed the gathering of the clouds, he pondered.

'It seems we're going to have another heavy snowfall.'

*Splash*

Afterwards, he waved his sword into the air, cleaning off the blood left in it, sheathing his sword and redrawing it onto his trunk. Then the Commander gazed away from the sight, strolling slowly through the tight snow that formed overtime.

*Thud...*

Meanwhile, somewhere else.

*Splash... Plop*

The dropping sound of something falling resonated in a pitch black place filled in nothingness.

At first it seemed like a dark bright figure falling into a sea, but at second glance it was shining bright like a glow fish underwater—it was Blu.

He laid still beneath the sea, immobile, in a stationed position.

To a second view, it almost seemed like—he was being drawn in by the strange water into.

While Blu pondered recalling all what happened in his second life in a new world.

***

After being sent over to this world, everything seemed like a crafted dream.

Being brought to a new world, wielding a Sci-fi-like sword, having magic powers, living a slow life with my friends, exploring dangerous places, going on adventures, camping and having a beautiful heroine.

Deep down, I thought all this would happen, that I no longer have to live without friends, that I'm going to be a hero.

But—.

Was it really OK for me to live a sweet life like this?

Was it really OK for me to have this much friends?

Was it OK for me to have this much fun training, eating.

All these thoughts came through, but I failed to understand

If I had known, wishing for a little more in a second life made no difference, no matter what, because now that I know both life here and they were no different from each other.

It would have been better if I hadn't taken up their offer to become friends, that way I wouldn't mind them dying off and I wouldn't feel much pains from their death.

Because no matter what I did, it would always end up being my fault.

I wish I could sink in this sea forever—my sea of despair

***

*Blurt... Burble*

Air bubbles rose up, levitating as it floated slowly to the top. There Blu was gazing at the top of the water, whilst soaked in the deep water, with a blank expression, falling slowly.

*Blurt... Burble*

I wonder how long—it's going to be? A day? A week? A month? A year?

I don't know, but it feels like time is irrelevant.

*Blurt... Burble*

It feels cold, cold enough to freeze the water, but it doesn't seem to freeze at all, l nor does it hurt like the time I first died.

*Blurt... Burble*

But it feels like I am falling into an ever flowing abyss-like sea slowly, never-ending.

*Blurt... Burble*

My body feels like it's frozen still in this sea, glowing with blue light tones emanating around me and bright white color within.

*Blurt... Burble*

Though all I could see are the air bubbles rising up, it doesn't feel like I am grasping for air nor am I drowning. Totally strange.

Hahaha... sounds like I'm making up words in my head.

*Blurt... Burble*

Hah... I remember this nostalgic feeling, it's the same as when I first died, but... This time it feels nice.

*Blurt... Burble*

I wonder what's going to happen now at that world after the whole escape.

Well, it doesn't matter again, nothing matters again. I wish I could stay like this forever.

*Blurt... Burble*

With the strange feeling of warmth from the ever deep abyss-like sea, slowly Blu could feel the weight of his eyelids getting heavier every passing second, till finally his eyes closed off—like a baby going to sleep.

*Drop*

The sound of a drop echoed as it resonated through Blu's ears.

Ugh...

After a while, opening his eyes slightly as he awakens from the short while he had closed off his eyes, Blu rose slightly with his top half rising up.

Ugh...

Huh! Did I fall asleep?

*Sniff... Sniff*

As Blu sniffed slightly, he noticing a sweet smell in the air.

What's this smell? It smells like the usual morning vibe.

Instantly, he wore a gleeful expression, remembering the nostalgic scent that permeated the air.

Afterwards, he rushed immediately, without delay, to open the door in sight of what was going on while pondering.

***

My room, filled with books, my bed, and full of the smell of a teenage boy—my nostalgic smell.

My parents who just washed up, the sweet smell of stew being cooked, the sound of chopping, and the sound of the early morning news turned on by my dad, even though he mostly read newspapers with it.

There is no way I could mistake it, it's the usual vibe back home.

I knew it all, what happened was a dream, a nightmare.

An empty world that has nothing but endless snow hills and piles, the strange feels of extreme loneliness even if there were only klaurs.

And that nightmare has ended.

My nightmare is over, and now I'm with my parents who didn't die, who are still healthy and alive

Every was just a nightmare.

***

*Creak*

Huh?! Where is everyone?

Opening the doors to the living room, Blu noticed there was nobody, not a single person at sight. All that was left were a turned on TV without a single channel in view but white and black airing boxes, and a pot filled with stew boiling over in the kitchen.

Blu expression instantly turned blank, noticing all his words were only exaggerations.

I see everyone is gone.

... Shhh!

"Huh?!"

A slight static noise resounded over Blu's ears. Noticing this, he glanced over to the window, the source of the noise, and sighted a large amount of blinding light beaming.

It was enormous, devouring everything in its part.

Uhwaahh...!!!!

Blu felt a strange sensation of the light sucking him away.
