Trade Scam

Savage Lands.

That's quite an interesting name. Already gives me an idea of the type of people living here.

"What is this metal?" I asked the men about the mystery metal. However, the two looked at each other in confusion.

"It is the metal we use to make weapons and armour."

Sighing at their answer, I had to rephrase my question.

"What is the NAME of this metal?"

Again, the two looked at one another and shook their heads.

So, pointless huh?

Well, there was one way to get a little bit of information.

"Take me to your leader."

[Royal Lands, Savage Lands]

How do you enter a prohibited land? Get the senior officials on your side.

The two guards were good but didn't have the authority to take me to the king.

So, I just controlled the ones who did.

"His majesty is inside his quarters."

Without responding to the man, I walked towards the king's chambers.

"Who—"

*Shsssh*

Quieting the man, I went inside the king's chamber.

"Good Morning, Your Majesty."

[Arnim Zola]

Hitler's plan was not going well. Plan Armageddon was a project in which he expected to use the Jew children and with Essex's help, create an army that could infect people to become mindless zombie soldiers.

However, that didn't work.

Essex vanished and Johann Schmidt defected. Their army was falling and according to his estimates, the battle would be over in a month or two —in their loss.

*Ahhh!*

The Führer roared, throwing the glass bottle he had in his hand.

"Where is Essex!"

The men behind him trembled in fear. Whenever their leader got angry, it meant pain for them.

"That bastard Johann betrayed me and even my top scientist is missing."

As the Supreme Ruler was raging, a nervous guard knocked on the door.

"S-Sir, the Howling Commandos have entered the south-east."

Hitler's eyes went wide. "How did they manage to infiltrate one of the most secured areas?!"

He turned around and howled at Zola. "Zola, prepare for the experiment." He gritted his teeth. "Prepare project Hate-Monger!"

[[Adam Galler]]

*Whistle*

"So, this element can dissolve every other known metal?" I asked, sitting comfortably on a seat as the King nodded from the throne.

I would have taken the throne but it's too rigid.

"It can." The King nodded at my question, still under the effects of my pheromones.

The pheromones were interesting and scary. I could feel the changes in my personality, especially my confidence level and it was all because of the pheromones.

"How do you make weapons out of them, especially since you can only use rocks to craft them?" I asked, puzzled by the precision of their craftsmanship.

"Our ancestors came up with a crafting procedure which allowed us to create the weapons without making them dull."

His answer made me smile. "Can you… share the procedure?"

"Of course."

An element capable of dissolving metals…

And from what I am guessing it breaks the bonds between the molecules… leading the metal to fall apart, instead of melting it.

But, I am no chemistry expert. I don't even know if that is possible. But it sounds more plausible than voodoo.

[Hours Later]

Using my pheromones to control the royal family was the best choice. Forcing the king to make an announcement to treat me as an honoured guest allowed me to roam around the place freely.

But I had to do one thing to get my hands on this element.

I had to get rid of the king.

My pheromones are not permanent and unless I stay here forever, I cannot open a trade route without killing the king.

However, that's why I made the king order the gathering of the public.

"My dear people!" The king yelled from the top of his tree castle. "I called you all here to announce the succession of the throne to my son!"

The prince along with the public had their mouths agape at the announcement.

"I am growing old and that leads me to make mistakes in my decision." He sighed. "But my son is young and has enough experience. So, for the betterment of our people, I will be stepping down as the King!"

The people roared in praise of their wise king, unknown to the fact that it was all a scheme.

"My son." He looked at the prince. "Come here."

The prince, still shocked by the announcement, took a moment to register the king's words. Giving his father a respectful nod, he walked towards the podium.

"I, King Izan declare you, Isan worthy of the crown." The king placed his hand over his son's shoulder. "And according to the rules of this holy land, you shall be the new king!"

Another uproar, one that I enjoyed from the corner of the stage.

Izan placed the crown over the prince's head. "I believe that our forefathers would be proud to have such a worthy successor."

After that, the ceremony continued for a long time but this was merely part of the reason I made Isan the king.

"My friend, Adam." Izan said, drawing the attention of the public once again. "Come here."

Nodding respectfully, I walked towards the King.

"According to the ancient rules, till the sun rises I am still the king." He said. "And with that authority, I declare the acceptance of your request." He laughed. "You, my friend… now have the right to trade with our lands."

This made the crowd confused. For ages, the trade routes had been severed and Izan wanting to rebuild it was a shock for them.

Not that it was a fair trade to begin with. I was just getting the item for free, I had nothing to trade it with.

At least, for now.

"You are willing to trade precious items, medicines and clothing for the metal." The king said in a voice that was audible to all. "No one since ancient times has made such an offer for just some metal. You, my friend, are a kind soul."

*Woooo!*

The crowd roared, this time in praise. They were easy to manipulate. For them, their king was no less than a god and his words were the will of the deities.

And I will provide them with things once I make enough money. After all, I cannot let my miners and labourers die from starvation.

"Even after the sun rises, this trade will be valid." He looked at Isan. "And I believe that my son will agree."

Isan nodded at his father's words. "I will."

With that, I secured an entire trade route for this precious element.

So, what was left?

Ah, yes. Izan's assassination.
