If one touches Leonus barehand, those messes reach their body and besides consuming their mana, those things would spread dark energy throughout the body, putting that person in an incredible amount of pain. Just like what happened to Drake.

On the other hand, if they cast any kind of magic on them, Leonus sucked out the mana of that magic and the magic ended up increasing his mana even more. So instead of stopping him, it made him even more powerful. So the others had to continuously attack him with mana to be able to stop him even for a minute.

Only light magic had a longer effect on him. However, with a consequence. Parts of his body were burning because of too much contact with light magic.
