Family dinner with a god

CHAPTER SIXTEEN

The entire family sat at the dinning table, Ozovehe sat down on his left was Ohi, his friend and Beni on his right was his wife Asipita and Bisi, Ewatomi was seated at the other end facing Ozovehe.

Asipita looked at Eshu's disguise and instantly fell in love with him, whenever their eyes met she turns completely red, so to avoid his gaze, she kept looking around while sipping her drink. Ohi who was seeing this was really pissed off, his innocent sister has fallen in love with the wrong person.

"Young Man, what is your name"?, OZOVEHE inquired, Ewatomi who knew who he is, kept glancing at him, "My name is Benjamin Frank", Eshu politely answered, "Tell me about yourself"Ozovehe asked another question "I am an only Child, I graduated not long from the University of Illorin" Ozovehe nodes his head, "how did you become friends" another question was thrown at him, he could not even eat the delicious jellof rice in his front, "I taught them mathematics for their Junior waec" he smiled showing his perfect white open teeth, making Asipita blush even more. "What did you study my dear son" Ohi choked when he heard his mom call Eshu her dear son. "He is your ancestors mum"Ohi said in his mind, Are you alright Ohi? Eniola asked looking worried, "I am fine" he replied smiling at Eniola then looked at Eshu who has a smirk on his face, he wish he could slap the smirk off his face. "Why are you glaring at your friend"? Bisi asked giving him a suspicious look ."No I wasn't" he quickly denied, "yes you were.... "How is your haunt for Eshu" Ohi distracted her. "This time, it was Eshu that choked. Asipita jolted up "are you okay"?, Everyone stared at her, she slowly sat down and looked down at her food. "I still can find him, is harder than I thought" she pouted her lips "that's because you are looking for someone that doesn't exist" Beni mockingly smiled at her, which angered Bisi the "short fuse", "I will find him just wait and see" Bisi exclaimed, "Bisi, you shouldn't waste your time looking for someone who isn't real, Asipita calmly said to Bisi. "Your sister is right" Eshu added making Asipita's face red again, "I will find him, you will see, you will all see" she said pointing her second finger at everyone. "I agree with Bisi" Ohi said shocking Bisi, "his sitting next to me" Ohi smirked pointing as Eshu who has turned pale and was choking on the rice he was chewing, all of them stared at him. "Nah, it can be him" Bisi exclaimed easing Eshu's tense heart, everyone started laughing including Eniola, "there is no way this gentleman can be Eshu" Eniola said "I agree" Ozovehe seconded, "me too" Asipita said in a low voice, "Ohi stop being silly" his grandma gave him a scolding look. "If I see Eshu, I will know" "how will you know that"? Ohi asked, "because am very smart and I know how to unravel deceptions" "that's my baby" Eniola gave her a thumbs up, Ozovehe just nodes, she smiled confidently and sipped her orange juice, Ohi scoffed, "yes how can I forget that you are as smart as Sherlock" Ohi sarcastically said. Before returning to his food.

They finished their dinner and Eshu left, " he is a good boy, I like him" Eniola said to Ohi before leaving for her room, "I support your friendship with him" his father said patting his shoulder before leaving. Asipita came closer to him, "about your friend.... "Forget him, his too old for you" he walked pass her" leaving her in a stupor, "Ohi come to my room, Eshu is waiting" Ewatomi informed her grandson who looked shocked but followed her.

In a dark scary forest, three figures in black robes were standing as the cold wind whistle pass them, the owls kept hooting while looking down at the figures, a man appeared in front of them, he gave them a parchment, "everything is ready, do not fail me" their eye glowed red as they all had a sinister smile on their faces.
