Eos

There was complete silence in the room where Nephele and Eos stood. Everyone stared at Ciri, where she stood in the arena, and then looked at Eos and Nephele.

"Do you have any more of those Black Praying Mantises?" Eos asked.

The elder who had instructed them earlier was speechless.

"Me and Nephele here would also like to become part of the inner circle."

Eos had originally intended to have a low profile but realized that this was impossible. He should have realized that from the start.

"Who… are… you?" asked the instructor and slowly backed away from them.

"What do you want?"

The man showed no fear. But Eos knew that soon enough, there would be more elders and experts to face the possible threat that stood before them.

"We just want to be part of the inner circle," Nephele said in a disarming tone.

This was a disastrous start, and he swore at both Ria and Cora. Would this be a good scheme?

"He is a Supreme Magnus, born immortal."Eos was not surprised by the voice coming from behind. He had sensed them approaching and he had noticed how Nephele detected them.

Eos turned around and was met by a dozen core disciples and three great elders. All the elders had Soul-Sea cultivation, and the core disciples had at least advanced Nascent cultivation.

"May I ask your name, immortal?" There was a reverence in the voice but also a sharp demanding tone. "And why do you wish to become part of the inner circle of a third-class sect. Any sect would gladly welcome you with open arms."

"Everyone except the Dragon Sky Sect," Nephele muttered quietly.

"Is there a better place, where we can talk undisturbed?" Eos asked. It was not until now that Eos saw the man who had appealed to them. He had a very handsome appearance with a pair of deep eyes and exuded a beautiful aura. Sword-like eyebrows, a fit body, and a tall stature.

He was dressed in a black coat of the finest fabric and gold embroidery.

He must be one of the great elders.

A murmur went through the room as Ciri suddenly stood next to Eos and Nephele. "You have begun to learn how to use 'the Road of Sky roses' technique in its first form. You're a real fast learner. It took me more than three months to learn how to walk in the air on spirit leaves, said Nephele with delight."

Eos frowns. Since then, the two had begun to get along without competing.

"I needed to take off the ring that hides my cultivation master. Ciri sounded worried."

"It's okay Ciri," said Eos.

"Magnus, continue the selection. Let's go to a more private place, master Immortal. "

"My name is Antal, and I am the second Greate Elders in the Dragon Sky Sect…

"I am Eos and Ciri and Nephele are my disciples."

"You are Eos Venari of the Yinpai…?"

"Yes", Eos answered quietly.

If the knowledge that Eos was a Supreme hadn't shocked them, the fact that they were from Yinpai had. A horrified silence spread among the people.

Eos, Ciri, and Nephele were shown into a large hall that was richly decorated with dragons -statues and paintings. The spiritual energy in the room was thick. Almost as if you could touch it.

As Eos, Ciri and Nephele stepped into the hall with Antal and a dozen more behind them. A heavy door slid shut and Ciri squirmed noticeably with unease. Should things go wrong, they were at a severe disadvantage. Both Ciri and Nephele were in the Soul Sea Realm, but Eos was only in the Celestial Qi Realm.

It was Antal who broke the silence.

"What can the Dragon Sky sect do for the Yinpai?"

"I want the Dragon Sky sect to enter a partnership with the Yinpai, where we help each other when needed. Yinpai is a small exclusive sect and will remain so but we are short of manpower."

"Why not just join us?"

"It is the collaboration we wish for, not merging the sects. In exchange, the Dragon Sky Sect will no longer be a third-rate sect. The Yinpai will share their resources to an appropriate extent and, a few suitable candidates can become disciples of the Yinpai. That assumes there is talent. And it will require you to grant me, Ciri and Nephele guest elder status with a position of authority."

"You can't just come here and demand that we submit to you!" shouted a man who was quickly reprimanded by Antal with a warning glance.

Eos shrugged.

"We will not force you. It was more of an offer."

"We will not be able to make a decision today. I need to discuss this with the sector leader and that council. In the meantime, there is accommodation in the city. Send me a message when you know where you are staying."
