Ciri could sense the tension building in the room. She knew that the Dragon Sky Sect was a powerful sect with a lot of connections, but she didn't think they would be foolish enough to provoke the Yinpai. Something was definitely not right, and it wasn't good.
"We need to find out what's going on," Nephele said, her voice calm and measured.
Eos nodded in agreement. "You're right. We need to investigate. But we need to do it carefully."
"Master, I suggest we take a proactive approach. We can't just sit around waiting for something to happen. We need to take action..."
Eos shook his head. "We are unaware as to why the Dragon Sky Sect does not want to cooperate with us, making the situation all the more dangerous. Indeed, the sect is one of the five major powers in the Wind Land, and any disruption of the balance of power could lead to a costly battle. We have no idea what kind of relations or ties they may have, meaning it is essential that we take extra care while moving forward."
Nephele nodded in agreement. "I agree with Eos. We need to be patient and gather as much information as possible. We can't make any rash decisions without knowing all the facts."
Ciri listened to their words carefully and felt the weight of the situation start to pull her down. She knew the Yinpai had already made many enemies, but she never expected something like this to happen. It was like they were walking on thin ice, and one wrong step could lead to disaster.
As Nephele and Eos discussed their next steps, Ciri's mind was already racing with ideas. She knew she had to do something to help her master and the Yinpai. She couldn't just sit around and wait for things to unfold.
"I need to absorb more qi so that we can teleport from here. There's not much we can do about the situation at the moment. Nephele, can you stand guard?" Eos said to the group.
"Of course, darling," replied Nephele with a smile. Ciri gave her a look. "He is our master, Nephele," Ciri corrected her.
"I'm going to do some investigating of my own," Ciri said, her voice determined. "I'll be careful, of course, but I want to see if I can find out anything about the Dragon Sky Sect's recent activities."
---
Eos turned to Ciri with a serious expression on his face. "Ciri, remember that you are my disciple now," he said firmly. "I appreciate your initiative but do not forget your place. Be careful, and do not put yourself in any unnecessary danger."
Ciri nodded, feeling a rush of pride at being recognized as Eos's disciple. She wanted to show him that he had made the right choice in selecting her and suppressed all the inappropriate thoughts she had about him and concentrated on her tasks instead.
Ciri smiled. "Don't worry, Master. . I'll be fine. I'll keep you updated on anything I find out."
"Be mindful that you can be followed when I depart from here, and their level of cultivation is unknown," warned Nephele. Ciri responded in a hushed tone. "I am aware, That is the idea."
With that, Ciri left the room, her mind already filled with plans and ideas. She knew the danger was high, but she couldn't just sit back and do nothing. She was determined to find out what was going on with the Dragon Sky Sect and to do whatever it took to protect her master and the Yinpai.
The cobblestone streets, beaten by the occasional horse and carriage, glistened with a sheen of fresh rain. A fine mist hung between the buildings and made everything appear hazy and surreal.
As Ciri strolled down the street, she caught the attention of every passerby, much like how bees are drawn to honey. Whispers, shouts, and even whistles followed in her wake. However, despite their curiosity, no one dared to approach her. They recognized her as a cultivator and understood that insulting one could lead to a swift death. It was a harsh world indeed. Nevertheless, Ciri walked with her head held high, gliding effortlessly over the cobblestones with a light step.
She made no attempt to diminish her charm or conceal her presence, instead moving gracefully with a subtle sway in her hips.
Ciri was well aware of the fact that some men were tailing her. She could feel their gaze upon her, growing more intense and focused with each passing moment.
She knew it would be risky to ask about the Dragon Sky Sect too openly without preparation, so she decided to try a different approach.
Her hair was tightly pulled back into a bun, its dark strands cascading down her back.
She had not changed and was wearing the same outfit she had arrived in. Her left leg was completely exposed, her toned muscle of thigh and calf-like artfully-carved marble. The sarong she had draped around her hips did nothing to cover the rest of her body; instead, a black bra only emphasized the curves of her bountiful breasts. Finally, the gold threads in her hair shimmered in the light.
She was hardly dressed to avoid attracting people's attention. It was just as well that Eos wasn't going with her. What she had in mind was not something she was proud of. But she was good at it. Seducing men and getting them where she wanted was easy in the right environment.
The sarong split in half with her steps and showed a naked, well-turned outer part of her ass. The curvature and shadow clearly indicated that she had nothing underneath. Her sex was like an invitation to herself.
As she walked, she kept her eyes open for anyone who might have any information. Eventually, she came across a small tavern in a quiet corner of the city that seemed to be frequented by some of the more unsavory characters. It was the perfect place to start her investigation.
Ciri walked into the tavern, her hips swaying as she moved. The moment she entered, all eyes turned toward her, and the chatter in the room fell silent.
Men of all shapes and sizes looked at her with hunger in their eyes, their gazes scanning her body as if they could see right through her clothes. She could feel the intensity of their stares, and a thrill of excitement coursed through her veins, even though she only had one man in mind these days, Eos.
Ciri was no stranger to this kind of attention. She had learned a long time ago that her beauty was a powerful weapon, and she had used it to her advantage many times before.
As she walked up to the bar, she caught the eye of the bartender, a gruff-looking man with a thick beard and rough hands. "What can I get you, miss?" he asked, trying to keep his eyes on her face.
Ciri leaned in closer to him, allowing her breasts to brush against his arm. "I'm looking for some information," she purred, her voice low and seductive.
The bartender swallowed hard, his eyes flickering down to her cleavage, and her swollen breasts before quickly snapping back up to her face. "What kind of information?" he asked, his voice hoarse.
Ciri smiled, knowing that she had him right where she wanted him. "I'm looking for any rumors or gossip about the Dragon Sky Sect," she said, tracing her finger along the edge of the bar.
The bartender hesitated for a moment, looking around nervously as if afraid someone might be listening. "I've heard that they've been making some kind of deal with the Black Lotus Clan," he whispered, leaning in closer to her.
Ciri's heart skipped a beat. The Black Lotus Clan was known for its brutal tactics and its willingness to do whatever it took to get what they wanted. If the Dragon Sky Sect was working with them, it could mean that they were planning something dangerous.
The Black Lotus Clan was not one of the Big Five, but an independent sect that was mainly involved in assassinations and other shady activities.
Suddenly she felt a hand on her shoulder. She spun around, ready to defend herself, but the man behind her was not an enemy.
He was tall and muscular, with short black hair and piercing green eyes. He wore a dark cloak that covered most of his body, but she could see the outline of a sword at his side.
"Excuse me," he said, his voice deep and smooth. "I couldn't help but notice you in here. You're not from around here, are you?"
Ciri felt a strange sensation in her stomach. This man was different from the others in the tavern.
"No, I'm just passing through," she replied, trying to keep her voice steady.
The man smiled, revealing perfect white teeth. "Well, if you need a guide or some company, I happen to know these lands pretty well," he said, his eyes flickering over her body.
Ciri felt her face flush with heat. Which she did deliberately. She had always had the ability to blush whenever she wanted to. This man was dangerously attractive, and not many women would not fall for him. In addition, he was a cultivator. But he tried to hide it.
"I appreciate the offer, but I think I can handle myself," she said, stepping away from him.
The man chuckled, his eyes following her movement. "Suit yourself. But be careful around here. There are dangerous people lurking in every corner."
