Parents

I didn't remember much of the way home. When I arrived, I could still feel Vivian's soft body on my skin, like a sweet aftertaste.

"So how did it go?" Rebecca asked as soon as I entered.

"Fine. I'm going to introduce her to mom and dad." I tried to be nonchalant, but Rebecca must have noticed something.

"It looks like it was more than just 'fine'," she said sardonically with raised eyebrows.

"She was happy to hear that I wanted to tell my parents about us. That's all." Rebecca didn't say anything, but her wry expression spoke volumes of what she thought 'that's all' really meant.
