Wedding Preparations

For the wedding, Jacob and I once again went around searching for a suitable venue. The synagogue's event hall might have been good enough for an engagement party, but for our wedding we not only wanted a grander place, but we needed someplace bigger, big enough to not only seat all the guests, but also have two dance floors, one for the men and one for the women. Although the wedding ceremony had to take place between a cloth canopy, we wanted that canopy to be erected under the roof of the sky, not the roof of a building, and I in particular wanted to at least have some greenery surrounding us.

After searching through word of mouth, through advertisements, and through the computer, we eventually found a place that seemed good enough, and also provided the catering, bridal dais, and table decorations. Having a variety of services provided by one supplier was convenient, but there were still many other details to take care of.
