Chapter one - Reverse Logic

Nobodies POV:

Jay was sitting in the back of class half asleep, it got boring hearing the same old legend over and over and over again. Jay noticed everyone leaving and the bell chaotically shaking like usual and the screams of kids rushing out of the classroom like it was black Friday.

*sigh* "Thank god the day is over."

Jay stated under there breath before getting up and leaving out the door unexcited like always. Jay sadly had to meet up with there crackhead friends, Asher and Elaina, who were Jay's only good friends left in the clan. Jay walks to the edge of the tree looking around before spreading out there golden with silver reflects on his wings. Jay stands at the edge turning around and falling with there eyes close feeling the air go through his wings like it was some dramatic anime scene. The sun was setting, but the sky was covered by bushes of trees the hid Jay from ever getting a good look at the view up there. The leaves on the trees felt untouchable, to Jay. As soon as he opens his eyes he quickly glides up getting a view of the moonlight glimpsing through the trees. The old night breeze hits against Jay like gentle waves of the ocean.

"What's taking so long for that brat to-"

The shorter one of the group was cut off by feeling the breeze of the wind hit her face and Jay land looking at her.

"What were you saying?"

"You take forever!!"

"Sorry, I wanna go up like out of the leaves of the trees up-"

"But we can't."

Asher stated.

"Mmm, yeah but they can't really make us when we have the ability to flyy-"

"Fine, but if we get in troubl-"

"I will take the blame I know!"

"Okay."

Jay's POV:

Asher is always the strict one of the group which makes us stop from being a dumb and getting us killed. I will admit it does get boring when you can't do anything fun. I spread my wings, for some logically reason my wings are bigger then a average wings should be for a wing clan member. I fall off closing my eyes, I always put my trust into the air and wind to direct me where I am or if I'm close to the ground or not. It depends on how the wind if it starts hitting your wings to aggressively meaning that your wings are way to close to the grounds, but for me the closer I am to the ground the more wind I get to my wings the more power I can get to push my self off the ground and then the faster I can glide up to show off my flying skills to the other two. I feel the pressure of the wind hitting my wings harder and harder as I fall, I spread my wigs further out to full stretch and propel up spinning in a spiral type of way. I looked like one of the golden things in the spiral shape way that spin around in the wind. I looked down at the branch and the two weren't there, they always wait for me weird...

"Boo!"

"AHH!"

"Hehe, sorry Jay!"

Elaina said why laughing a bit.

"What the hell, you guys waited for me, wow."

"No, I just wanted to exercise my wings since I can't ever use themmm!"

We looked around to make sure nobody was really around, after we did the place seemed pretty empty. The three of us flew up to the bushes beyond bushes of trees and stopped at the leaves and they felt almost unreal like they weren't meant to be here. Almost like clouds on could describe, Elaina grabbed a handful of them throwing them in the air and looking up threw the hole she had made. Her mouth seemed to widen in amazement, her eyes even seemed to sparkle. Asher hesitated at first before grabbing a leaf, there face seemed to change from one expression to another there face could be described as shocked yet amazed by the feel of the leaf. Some could possibly seemed satisfied by the touch of the leaf. It was a peaceful silence before Asher was the first to speak up.

"This amazes me of how the leaves here feel way more soft and cloud like maybe then the leaves down at our level."

Asher stated why looking at the leaf and then looking at me.

"I mean you aren't wrong Asher, its quite weird how the leaves texture changed all of a sudden."

"GUYS GUYS!"

Elaina exclaimed, why her eyes still had the sparkle.

"YOU GOTTA COME UP IT'S SO COOL UP HERE!"

"Oh really?"

I said with a slight quiet sigh.

I looked at Asher who seemed uneasy about going up there it was even a little bit of a push to get them up here to the leaves. But surprisingly they were the first to go after Elaina before me, after that I went through the hole Elaina made and it was breathtaking. That 'endless' sky was a mix of a relaxing type pink and purple with a little tint of blue in it. The sun made the sight even more amazing with the way it sparkled like it was going down behind water. You could feel the breeze of warm and cold air hit your face, it felt nice the clouds were almost fitting in like cotton candy with they way it looked. I could see and tell that Asher and Elaina were amazed they were for once quiet, and not bickering. I could say we were all quite speechless. Before we could enjoy anymore of this moment though we heard stern yelling which disrupt the peaceful silence we had. I looked at Asher who had 'I knew it' look on there face I just said silently to them "I will handle it, got it?" they nodded to my response. I swooped down to the noise and saw one of the head members they had there out with the the flames bursting out with rage, but not as much rage as they had on there face. They seemed pretty pissed off, before I could even say a word he looked at me sternly with those fierce and dreadful look in there eyes. I hated the way it made me feel the way it made my stomach turn.

"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING?!?"

"U-Umm, hanging out up here?"

"WELL BY LAW YOU ARE NOT ALOUD IN THESE AREAS!"

"Well it's not my fault I was born with the ability to fly.."

"Anyone else with you smartass?"

"No sir, I like to fly alone at night.."

"Fine, I will let you off with this ONE warning! Understood..?"

"Yeah Yeah sure thing old man."

And like so our conversation ended with him flying off still in a rage.

"GUYS! HE GONE!"

I yelled to the two they came down relieved a bit.

"I guess thanks Jay."

Elaina said looking the other way hating to admit a thank you to me.

"Thank you Jay what you did was kind."

Asher spoke softly and quietly.

"Yeah, I know you welcome y'all!"

"Mhm, don't take all the credit-"

Elaina mumbled under her breath rolling her eyes.

I put my wings making them fade off, I hated my wings people call me a monster for it. They say that it was a urban legend, even the damn teachers were scared of us three. It was pretty pathetic though, maybe even funny. I will admit being bullied was the best of time but I could scare them with just opening my mouth like I would curse them. I stay quiet during the school day otherwise. I sometimes might threaten a teacher to get an A if I know Ima fail- But otherwise I barely do it.. Elaina threatens people twenty-four seven though. To be really honest she doesn't it's either me or Asher standing behind her and staring them off, it's funny to see Elaina thinking she does it. I land into my home it's the furthest one out and it quiet and peaceful for me how nobody comes to bother me or annoy me. I shut the door behind me I look in the mirror that sits in the hallway that leads to the living room from the front door. "I wish I could just be normal" I say with a almost silent voice. I walk into the living room throwing my jacket I had on, onto the couch and sighed why plopping onto the couch sinking into it like it was some endless spit I would eventually get lost in. Hah, I wish. I looked at the picture on the wall that was on the wall to my right that was right before the stairs, I sighed as I stood up walking up to it. A claw mark that covers up the people that are known or suppose to be my parents. I grab the picture, I know you everyone here would be even more terrified of me if they found out the secrets that had ran in my family. Just before my parents died I found out something that will remain in my blood and thoughts for as long as I'm alive and maybe even longer. Who knows, I stop having a stare down with the photo and put it back onto the wall fixing it a bit to make it loom like it did before. I turned around and headed upstairs to my room I pull out a book that had some pages torn up, I will admit it was a very old book older than any other book in our local library. It was made a little before the war actually. My dad passed it down to me the last thing I have beside the whole house from my parents. And so far to me it looks like I would have to go to the different clans to be able to find more pages that go to this book. I haven't told anyone about the book, sadly not even Asher and Elaina. I sigh as I lean back in my chair looking at the ceiling, I have to cross a barrier to get pages that I don't even know are already gone by now. The first clan the closest one is the 'Claw Clan' I will hit that one first. I look at the poster of an older legend above my bed it was the tale about the goddess of all the clans. Legends say she could control all the powers that the clans master. To me it's interesting the one I still study, some people say it's fake I don't believe that because it seems so real to me the description it's just crazy. There personality reminds me so much of my mother to it's funny really. I push my chair up standing up and plopping onto my bed waiting for the next day to Arrive.

(The Next Day)

I sat up slowly trying to wake up, I try hard to focus and stare at the clock to see the time.. IT'S ALREADY EIGHT! I HAVE TO GO IN LIKE FIFTEEN MINUTES! I jumped up forcing my body to wake up as well I grab my clothes and put those quickly on why running down the stairs almost tripping a couple of times, I brush through my hair quickly and putting it back why grabbing my bag and grabbing a lollipop and sticking it into my mouth. I saw Asher standing there waiting for me.

"I knew you would wake up."

Asher said sarcastically.

"Wow, where Elaina?"

"She left like ten minutes ago she said she didn't want to wait for someone who is known to sleep in."

"SHUT UP!"

"Well let's go idiot-"

"Hey!"

I grab onto a vine that was dangling from the trees above my house and ran backwards before getting a god running start and jumping. I will say this shit is terrifying as hell but hey, that's the fun in it. I felt almost like I was levitating way cooler then flying for me. Flying hurts my back and its way more tiring! I see the school ahead and get ready to jump off, but I jumped a little early and started to fall I felt the air stop hitting my back harshly like it would when I would fly which was caused by Asher who had caught me on there back.

"Be more careful next time god!"

"Sorrrry!!"

"Mhm"

I just sighed as we made it to school grounds. Of course when Asher saves you there always a lecture after. It bores me half to death more then school even! I looked the other way after the bell rang for us to head to class, I sighed in relief of not having to listen again to Asher's boring ass lectures. I got up starting to walk to class sighing in relief again as Elaina was trying to catch up with me, she was slow- Asher just stared at me before starting to walk behind me to class. We made it to the subject I "dearly" hate most. Math.

"Can't we skip??"

I asked Asher with a non-amused expression on my face.

"No, we skipped two days this week!"

"What are they gonna do call my pet tree?"

"Jay, just because your parents aren't here doesn't mean you can just.. Act like there won't be consequences!"

"Fine, I won't be so reckless."

"No! I know for a fact your going to do something reckless!"

Elaina looked confused at the two of us. I looked at Asher with stern eyes and Asher looked back the same. I would say we have been in fights before but this fight was different. Like something bad might happen.

"JAY WE ARE SUPPOSE TO STICK TOGETHER! YOUR JUST ALWAYS THINK YOUR ABOVE EVERYONE ELSE!"

"NO I DON'T! I WISH I WASN'T I WISH I DIDN'T STICK OUT! BUT YOUR ACTING LIKE EVERYONE ELSE! SAYING "I THINK IM ABOVER EVERYONE ELSE"!"

"..Gu-"

"SHUT UP YOU THINK JUST BECAUSE YOUR WINGS ARE THE BEST YOU CAN BE THE LEADER OF THIS GROUP! THERE IS NO LEADER!"

"I KNOW I NEVER TRY TO BE A LEADER! I GUESS I'M JUST THAT BAD!"

I was so done with this argument I turned away not even wanting to face Asher I walked past them.

"Have fun with me then, sorry I caused that much trouble."

"W-Wh-"

I walked out the door before Asher could finish. I sighed, I knew I could never actually get a friend. I trusted them because they were like me.

Asher POV:

I knew it, I shouldn't of yelled at Jay like that. I need to hold in my anger better. Elaina looked at me with a little bit of an upset face.

"Where is Jay going...."

"Uh, she'll be back.."

I had to think of a lie to help Elaina, she had looked up to Jay has a bigger brother and.. I didn't want just say "Hey, umm Jay leaving us because of me-" that would maybe ruin my friendship with Elaina. I looked at Elaina and told her to go sit down she just gave me a slow nod with a upset face. I'm going to admit I don't show a lot of emotion to the group but, I care for them like siblings they mean a lot to me I don't wanna risk anything with our friendship or bond. I sigh as I sit down in the back of the class grabbing a pen I stored in my second lower pocket of my bag. I put the end in my mouth chewing on it nervously wondering if Jay gonna be gone for the rest of the day. The math class felt like it was three periods in one, it was quite boring without hearing Jay threatening me or joking around about death. It was just quiet, nothing I was use to. I looked up at the clock, one more minutes I just hope that it won't be forever. I look at Elaina and not surprised on her phone, I perk up in my seat as the noisy bell rung. I stand up grabbing my bag and swinging it onto my shoulders. I started walking to the exit of the classroom. I feel a force pull me from behind.

"HEY! HOW DARE YOU LEAVE THE ONE AND ONLY ME!?"

"Oh, sorry I spaced out and wasn't paying attention-"

"You- Not paying attention. That's new-"

"Mhm."

"Well see ya! I got to get to P.E or I'm going to get yelled at, again-"

"Sure thing, see ya-"

I watch as the midget sprints off holding there bag in a hurry. I turn the opposite way heading to my next class not really in a hurry. I sigh as I continue to walk down the busy but empty hallway. Hearing some kids whisper, and talk about Jay. I know for a fact if I were to make friends with one of the normal people they would be talking about how curse Jay is. It would certainly get annoying. I reach my class, but before I walk in I stop. I had my hand over the handle to open the door. Something telling me to skip. I back away from the handle and the door, I turn around and start sprinting towards the front doors leaving the school. I never actually skipped with my own instinct it's weird.. I rush over to a the edge of the school platform and jump off spreading my wings. I don't get it why Jay takes there time flying feeling the breeze hit your fit why gliding feels a whole lot better honestly. I land on a branch that wasn't to far from the barrier that separates us from the claw clan it's weird I have a feeling that I should stay on edge. I hear some leaves rustle behind me.

"What are you doing here Ash?"

I look behind me seeing Jay leaning against a tree, the branch she was one was a few feet away from mine on a different tree.

"...I'm sorry. I didn't mean to have that out-"

"I know, we have dumb arguments all time, I'll have to think about.. this ones"

"I understand.."

"So, why are you by the barrier Jay..?"

"I- Umm needed to.. Do something"

"Mhm, tell me I think I can handle it."

"I don't know.."

Jay's head perks up looking into the dark void towards the claw clan territory. I look towards it too, hearing a scratching noise echo towards us. It sounded near but not close.

"You might just hate me for what I'm about to do Asher."

I look at Jay confused of course.

"Jay.. Are you g-"

I was cut off by Jay gliding down straight for the ground. Being me I followed I didn't want her to get hurt ya know.. I jump down falling before spreading my wings like a parachute. I see Jay's golden wings fading out of my eyes grasp. I start to go into a faster rate gliding down.

"JAY! STOP BEING A DUMBASS AND THINK!"

I yelled at them hoping that might just change there mind and come back up. But I knew when Jay does something like this he won't back out. I finally hear Jay land on the ground with a little thud because of how aggressive and harsh they hit the ground when hitting the ground. After a few long minutes I land next to them with a 'Your so dead after this' look.

"I know."

Jay says before starting to walk off, I see them jump a few feet and landing.

"Oh, I see... Asher watch out there a cliff thingy-"

I walk a few more steps before stumbling a bit, but stepping back and looking down. I can't believe it they separated us by a canyon or something. It was a far way to jump but not really that bad of a jump. I glided over a little landing in front of Jay giving them a slight smile. They just turned the other way walking towards the sound of scratching..

"We really shouldn't be crossing Barriers! And also were going towards the creepy sound!"

"And? We have fighting skills, duh-"

"Yeah they have CLAWS! C-L-A-W-S!"

"I know, it's "dangerous" but is it though?"

Jay turned there head tilting it at me.

"YES!"

"Ughhh, no fun!"

There was a few seconds of silence due us just walking on the grass. It felt weird, like it felt nice to walk on but it was fresh also and just new. The scent of smelled quite like rotten eggs.. Weird honestly. I bump into Jay as they stop and put up there hand and telling me to be quiet due to them hearing the scratching noise getting louder.

"Well, Well, Well~ Look at the little birdies! All helpless and alone!"

Nobodies POV:

A shadow figure appeared from the dark void in front of the two winglings they shaped to be a male maybe? They seemed pretty tall but maybe just a few inches taller than Asher. The question would be.. What would happen next? They two birds that had flew into there own predators trap, could they even escape.. Asher and Jay had no contact with other members so could they get back up? Well times ticking will they be able to save themselves in this event that they had caused?
