CHAPTER THIRTY TWO: AM NO LONGER THAT LITTLE BOY

CASKEYS HOME

Old man Andrew sad lonely and sadly as he played the video. The family's hotel had been bombed down and his grand son severely injured. What hurt him wasn't really James'injuries, the loss encountered after the hotel turned to ashes. He had tried telling James to let the Grant's be,but he never listened.

Roderick sat besides his brother who was covered in a gauze. His arm and his leg were broken. His face was swollen and two more teeth were out. His hair was a total mess.

"What do you want to do next?" Roderick asked James.

"In this current condition you're asking me what am planning to do next?" James snorted. His mouth had drops of dried blood.

"Your injury isn't a big deal here, the hotel is down... With nothing as compensation. The loss is far greater than we expected." Roderick said.

"Was it all planned?" James Caskey asked, supporting himself to sit up. "Three of my men are dead with almost a dozen lying in hospital with broken body parts. You're talking about the hotel, am talking about people's lives."

"When grandpa told you not to recruit more men, did you listen?" Roderick asked.

"Would it have made a difference? The few would still be injured." James said. "But how comes Hank appeared when I thought he was still in country LA?"

"The Grant's existence is mysterious. Don't just underestimate them. They can appear anywhere at will." Roderick said.

"What was Diana's report?" James asked.

"Thrown into trash." Roderick said.

"Huh!"

"What did you expect? The Grant's will accept our contract after you hurting one of them?" Roderick asked angrily.

"Don't shout at me you little thing, what do you know. I miss four teeth right now and the Caskey's Shine hotel is down..." James shouted.

"Is it not your fault? We're you not the one who started all this dramas?" Roderick retorted back. "Are we helping each other by getting mad? Of course not... The Grant's don't need the kind of fights you're forcing them into. We're getting holding on the loose ends."

"What do you want me to do? If I could have know better, I would have taken that lady out of that hotel." James regretted.

"Your last James... It's too late now. Tell me, how will we fix this." Roderick asked.

"Go back and concentrate on your studies."

"You better mean it because I'll definitely go back to school, but have in mind you'll have to deal with grandpa, and you know him when he's mad. "Roderick stood up and left. He didn't like the way James addressed him too young to handle family issues.

EMERALD CASTLE

Hank peeped in and looked at his brother who sat their motionless like a statue.

"I need to talk to you Jemmy." Hank said

Jemmy stood up a d followed him to the study room. They sat opposite each other as silence reigned for a while.

"Mmh..." Jemmy nodded calmly.

""Do you remember Phil Peters? She might be back anytime soon. Dad is in to allow Cindy move in here with you. How will you handle that?" Hank asked.

"I go with what my heart wants, not by command. Phil was just a childhood sweetheart who later left with no trace. Besides, those were childhood moments. Am no longer that little boy, am a big man. As for dad, leave that to me." Jemmy said.

"What if she finds out. You haven't done anything meaningful to her, so even if she leaves you now, she has nothing to loose in the long run.

Jemmy remained silent.
