Following my heart

"Miss Angie if you have something to tell my future wife then you better share your concerns with me as well. I don't know if you heard me well earlier but I won't let anyone step in our way." Cameron said with a nervous tone of voice as if he was more than willing to take my side and even scold my mother if she dared to try to change my mind about the wedding.

My mother hearing him knitted her eyebrows down, probably she didn't expect him to defend me like that. She was not used to men raising their choice to her only to take my side. On the contrary, she was used to men who fancied her with way too much attention searching for her approval for whatever reason.

"I am talking to my daughter Cameron." Her voice grew angry and flustered. Her face redden and her eyebrows got so close to each other that they seemed linked by creaks.

Cameron took a step closer to me and then tilted his head to the side not scared to stand up to her.
