Ashen power

"Ahhhhh! it burns." Rein cried out. The ashen energy surged through him. It burned through his veins like lava. His heart felt like it was pumping a thousand beats a sec. As the snow fell none of it could touch Cain's body. Glowing black ashes emerged from his skin, created by his burning nerves. He suddenly rushed at the ape leaving a trail of white flame. Gaingore was quick to react throwing a punch back at him.

Boom*

the attacks collided causing, a mixture of white fire and snow to spread. Cain was thrown back but using the fire he stopped himself. Then he activated his eye slowing time down through his view. At the same time the ape charged forward. So, Cain sent ice shards covered in white fire without using a circle. They smashed against the quickly approaching ape. It did nothing to stop him, but the fire stayed on the ape burning on the armor fueled by nothing visible.

A ball of ashen flame formed in his right hand, growing in size. Gaingores' fists descended on him, but he blocked them with the fire ball. cracked formed beneath Cain as his right arm was shattered Gaingores' fists are gravely burned, as he is forced to step back.

"You are impressive for a basic; but I'm no longer holding back." Gaingore said with a coldly calm voice. Ice started to incase his body.

"Basic the difference between us is too large for a single ashen ember to make up for." Gaingore roared with a different tone of bloody rage.

Large ice spikes suddenly attacked Cain for all angles. He let a burst out white flame out of his, but it only managed to shatter the ice. The ice spikes quadrupled, then shot toward Cain. he managed to not be pierced by every shard, although holes now littered his body. None had managed to pierce his heart and, White blood seeped from the wounds.

Even though the was unbearable Cain kept standing and staring at the ape. A rage to rival the Gaingores' sat in his eyes.

"Very impressive but you're too weak to withstand me. I'll give you the glory of hanging your skull upon my trophy wall." Gaingore roars as the Ice spike on his body begin to glow a bright blue.

"Regain your senses Cain, or the ashen will consume your soul." Sys popped into his head. The rage Cain saw started to fade as one though flooded his mind.

'I will not die again' skin flaked off Cain's hands and forearms. Revealing a white glowing lava.

He was using all his focus to move his body. He dashed to the place where the white wolf hid.

Rose was just barely managed to stave off the cold when glowing white hands wrapped her up in a warm embrace. Cain then used all his might to run out of the area, while a large blue beam of frozen energy roared toward him. He ran as fast as his body could carry. He was blazing fast and barreling toward the direction of white lotus city.

The cold power was following closely behind him then it dissipated out of nowhere. In the arena Gaingore leap toward Cain. He was like a shooting star, quickly catching up and overtaking him. Cain sped up even more to dash pass the large ape right before he smashed down.

The shockwaves caused Cain to stumble, but he quickly catches himself and runs faster than before. Gaingore is hot on his trail lobbing boulders of ice at the blur of white light.

A boulder smashed right into his arm causing him to tumble forward. A freezing pain starts to quickly overtake his arm. Cain rolled out of the fall and continued running while ignoring the pain. a mile ahead he could see white trees signifying his home territory.

"I'm going to make it. I'M GOING TO GET HOME." Cain roared with newfound vigor. Gaingore grew more furious and desperate as his prey was continuing toward the territory of one of the strongest human civilizations the surrounded the perma-frost forest. He smashed his fists down hard causing ice to rush forward across the ground. Ice spikes appeared from the crawling ice with Gaingore used to boost himself, while also trying to impale and trip up Cain.

From below, left and right, spikes appeared keeping Cain on his toes: to add to the pressure he also had to avoid the heavy fists of the ape currently pursuing him. The white glow has reached his elbows and upper legs as well.

Cain is in a serious predicament but he is only going faster.

He has 200 meters until he reaches the tree line. A spike pierced his calf from behind but with only a grunt he continued his charge.

After crossing another 100 meters the ape aimlessly Flailed his fist hoping to nick Cain. Then it happened he crossed the boundary of the trees. and after an eternity of running he ran into a warm embrace. The power quickly stopped surging through his body as he looked up to see the smiling face of his mother.

"Your alright now mom and dad are here now"She said in a calm and sweet voice. Fatigue and pain suddenly hit him all at once so he passed out.

———

"You dare attack and chase my son into my territory." A cold and desolate voice thundered. A fist the was about to hammer the unconscious boy was stopped in its tracks by a large hand.

"I'll show you what cold it you damn monkey!" Cormaxium roared out. From his hand white flowers stared to spread across Gaingore's arm and legs.

"No please I'll leave, I'll give you all my treasur…" Gaingore's begging was cut off by the flowers the now rest all across his body. He now looked like a statue you would see in a garden. He was dead and white flowers took his place.

Cormaxium turned to rub his son's head who was coddled in the arms of his wife, Lileana.

"It's ok my son; you did a good job." He said with a gentle soothing voice and they headed back to the city.
