[Chapter:29][A day of peace and quiet]

"Mm…nn?"

Blinking her eyes slowly, the young girl who might be mistaken for my doppelgänger woke up.

"Goodmorning."

Rino blinked as she raised her body, and turned her eyes to me.

"…?"

Her eyes slowly turned to my chest, which was hidden beneath my shirt.

"Onii-chan, I had the strangest dream last night."

"Oh, it wasn't a dream."

I raised my hand and snapped my fingers, using one of the many spells I had understood and 'devoured' with Gluttony's help.

"???"

Rino's eyes widened in disbelief as she felt herself being carried up…

"I'm…flying?"

She blinked as she saw herself float towards me, then extended her legs down as she was let down slowly.

"This is a basic spell called {Magic Hand}. It's kinda like a spell version of telekinesis."

"???"

As expected of my little sister, even with a show of magic, which would have made anyone else shocked, dumbfounded, scared, or ecstatic, my lovable little sister's only reaction was…

"You know magic, Onii-chan?"

"Yes, Onii-chan learned magic not too long ago. So if there's anything you want, don't hesitate to ask me."

Rino nodded with a small smile on her face.

"Right, I want to introduce you to some people."

My words seemed to have reminded her of the previous night as she glanced at my chest. She didn't seem as worried, though, probably because of my earlier show of supernatural power.

That's technically why I did it, to make her calm down.

"Come on, they're waiting for you."

Rino bobbed her head cutely as she walked out of the room with me behind her.

Outside, she looked at the scene of the three lolis, Ohpis-chan, Ichiko, and Niko, quietly sitting on the sofa and nibbling cookies.

"You three, introduce yourselves to my little sister."

Three pairs of eyes shifted to Rino as they each raised one of their hands.

"Hello, I am Ophis."

"Hello, I am Ichiko."

"Hello, I am Niko."

"…cute."

Rino smiled as she approached them and gave each a hug.

"Nice to meet you all, I am Onii-chan's little sister, Rino."

"Umu."

The three nodded as a flash of black light too fast for normal people to catch emerged from Ophis-chan, seeping into Rino. At the same time, a strange aura also emerged from Ichiko and Niko, surrounding Rino like a protective cover.

"Oh, looks like you got their blessings."

Rino blinked in confusion.

"I feel like something changed…but I just can't put my finger on it…"

As expected of you , Rino, your instinct is indeed quite terrifying.

"On another note, Onii-chan…"

Rino looked at me with sparkling eyes. What's gotten her so excited?

"Isn't Ophis-chan 'that' Ophis from DxD?"

Oh, yeah, I forgot, but I was never an Otaku, neither in my previous life, nor in this one. Of course, I had knowledge of lots of anime and manga and the like, but that's different.

In this life, I became an anime-fan only after Rino introduced them to me. So, in a sense, if I'm a Lv-3 anime-fan, she's like a Lv-99 BOSS.

"Yes, she's from DxD. And turns out, our own world is depicted as a form of anime and manga and even a light novel and a web novel in other worlds."

Her sparkling eyes zoomed towards me as she asked expectantly, "Did you go to DxD?"

"Yup. Remember when I went to the bathroom? The time in this world stopped flowing, and I spent four and a half days in the world of DxD along with some other girls from other worlds."

Hearing the last part of my sentence, her sparkling eyes died down as she blinked.

"Other…girls?"

Ara, Rino-chan, what's with the sudden gloomy atmosphere? Why does your face look so blank, your eyes so empty?

Hmm…wait, I remember. Isn't this the famous…

"Goudere?"

"Wrong answer."

Well, I tried. But it looks like she isn't the friendly and lovable version. So Yandere it is, then.

"Rino."

"Yes?"

Even her tone changed. Although she still looked like an Angel in my eyes, as she always will, Ichiko and Niko slowly stepped away from her.

Ara? Ophis-chan, are you scared too? Now this is a surprise, I didn't think a Yandere could even scare a Dragon God…

"Onii-chan…you didn't answer…me?"

Rino's voice made me look at her blank smile and empty eyes and I sighed.

"Rino…"

"Yes?"

"…I never thought my little sister would be so good at acting."

"…"

Her face changed and returned to normal as though the previous expression and scary aura were nothing more than a lie.

"I wasn't acting."

Rino poured cutely, making me smile as I lifted her petite body up and hugged her tightly.

"Come, my dear, let me explain to you everything that happened to your Onii-chan. Will you listen?"

"…yes."

She nodded slowly, her face flushed from the close contact.

Hehe, you might be a fearsome Yandere, little one, but don't forget, your Onii-chan has kept you from killing my best friend Oota and many others for so many years now.

You're still my cute little Rino, after all.

"Now, where do I start…"

As for whether or not revealing the existence of the Group to her will be bad…

Eh, I'm sure she'd be sad that I would be spending a lot of time with a lot of different and charming girls, but she'd understand.

She's my little sister, after all. She would never do anything that she knows or even thinks would make me sad.

NEVER.

I learned that the hard and particularly frightening way. Not once in both my lifetimes, even when death was right before my eyes, had I felt as scared as I did back then. Luckily, nothing bad happened, but if something did happen that day…

Eh, all's well that ends well, I guess.

And this isn't time for flashbacks, so maybe another chapter.
