MARSHA'S POV:-
I stepped out of the bathroom and looked around. I smiled as I found jeans and a t-shirt set on the bed for me. I went towards the bed and wore my clothes. I brushed my hair and stepped out of the bedroom. The house was not big but it was beautiful. And as compared to my apartment, his room was in a better state. My whole apartment was actually a mess as compared to that place.
Hesitantly, I stepped into the kitchen. A beautiful woman looked at me and came towards me. Putting her hand on my back, she guided me towards the dining table. She made me sit and I thanked her. "What is your name, honey?" She asked me while sitting on a chair that was set beside me.
"Marsha, my name is Marsha Alford." I replied and she grabbed my hands.
"That is such a beautiful name for a beautiful lady like you. My name is Aura MacCarthy. This idiot here is called Freddy. But his name is Fredrick MacCarthy." She said and I nodded my head with a wide smile.
"I can not thank you enough for saving my life last night. I don't know how I will ever repay you." I said while thanking them for saving my life. Frederick turned around to look at me and I did not know why but my heart started beating wildly inside my rib cage. I gulped hard and narrowed my eyes. As I knew my cheeks would be red as tomatoes. I did not know why I was blushing this much.
It was not like I have not been followed or flirted by men. But about Frederick, something was not normal about him. It was like he was an angel and I was drawn towards him. Like a magnet pulls metallic objects towards itself, I could relate my situation with that theory. "Oh! That was nothing. Freddy, serve her breakfast. I better check on the old man. I don't know what is taking him long." Mrs MacCarthy said as she stood up and went away. I was all alone with Frederick in the kitchen.
He came to me and set the plate in front me. He leaned over and I turned to look at him. His face was inches away from me. I could smell his minty fresh breath fanning upon my face. I was looking into his ocean blue eyes. He came closer and I shut my eyes. My heart was wild in my chest and my breaths were uneven. I was expecting his lips on my lips, but it never came. Instead, he rubbed the tip of his nose with my nose.
"I can not force you for anything. I hope you will like it. Dig in or it will be cold." He whispered into my ear and I opened my eyes. He stood straight beside me with his arms wrapped upon his chest. I took a few deep breaths to calm myself down. Then I looked at the plate he had brought for me.
I frowned and looked at him. He chuckled seeing my confused look. "How do you know that I like to have chocolate chip pancakes? I did not tell that to anyone." I asked him and he just shook his head. He set everyone's plate and sat on the chair beside me.
I raised both of my brows in shock as I saw a pile of pancakes on his plate. He rubbed his both hands together excitedly and grabbed one of the bottles chocolate syrup. He poured almost half of the bottle on his pancakes then poured the same on mine. I was stunned with his actions. As it was what I used to do. I love chocolate very much and whenever my mother used to make me pancakes, I used to pour chocolate syrup just like that.
Before I would have asked him that again, Mrs MacCarthy came back with a man following her behind. My eyes widened as I looked at that man. I stood up from my chair and looked at that man. He looked at me and smiled widely. "Don't look at me like that, sunshine. I know, I am handsome." He said and tears instantly started flowing from my eyes.
He opened his arms for me and I ran towards him. I jumped into his arms and he quickly wrapped his arms around me. I wrapped my arms around his neck and my legs around his waist. He chuckled and rubbed his hand on my back.
He went to the dining table and sat on one of the chairs. He was rocking me back and forth while I was crying my heart out. "It's okay, sunshine. I know, you have crossed a very difficult path but you are okay now. And we united again. You can cry and you can get it all out of your system. I know it has bothered you more than it has bothered me. But at least I was not worried what would happen to you." He whispered into my ear and I tightened my hold around his neck.
"You have no idea how much I was worried about you, dad. You have no idea how crazy I was while I was looking for you. I knew all this time that you were alive but it killed me every time I thought if you were safe. You have no idea how much I had cried just to see your face for once." I said while sobbing hard. He did not say anything. He just kept rocking me back and forth and kept rubbing my back. As if I was still a baby for him, he was treating me like that.
"I am fine, sunshine. And I am safe. Look at me, I am fine and healthy. You don't have to worry about this old man anymore." He replied back and broke the hug. He wiped my tears and pecked my forehead.
"But how? They said that you committed suicide. And some said that you were killed by one of the patients in that mental health care hospital. Then how?" I asked him in confusion. He looked at Frederick and then back at me.
