Ares woke up as the light of dawn seeped into his room. He noticed an innocent and sleeping face of Nephthys, with the effect of light rays falling on her face, giving her beauty an otherworldly charm. He pinched her face as it was cute, which was now showing a sign of discomfort due to slight pain on her cheeks. Her eyes lids opened showing a sparkling red iris, which gave her face a seducing charm, a contrast to her sleeping innocent face. When she felt Ares's gaze and him touching her face, she blushed. She remembered his confession which made her heart flutter but remembering him crying and breaking down during his confession she was worried that he may not remember.
Noticing worry, fear, and sadness in her eyes he can guess the reason. He holds her hand while looking directly into her eyes and said,
"Nephthys, I love you will you marry me and my first wife, I promise to always be your side even if you want me to leave."
Hearing his heartfelt confession, she was in a turmoil of many expressions, it was a dream come true. She remembered their parents discussing their marriage, which she heard mistakenly. She remembered how she fell in love with Ares when he was 10 years old, he was not always jealous, he was very caring, he used to help her and never left her side. As she was lost in her thought, Ares thought she was still angry about what he had done to her in past and was to pull his hand back, Nephthys gripped his one hand tightly while other on his face locating his lips, suddenly his opening mouth was sealed by Nephthys's lips. Yes, she kissed him. After a moment of shock, he also started kissing her back. After a moment they separated.
"I will!!!!"
Said Nephthys as tears are falling on from her smiling eyes. Ares was very happy, he hugged her tightly in his embrace while stroking her hair.
