Wife Subsystem

Nephthys woke up half an hour later, I walked her to the bathroom and then to the dining table to eat breakfast, she did not speak a word, maybe still was very sad about her parent's death. I cooked her simple egg sandwich which was glowing, I was shocked by the skill "Advanced Cooking" skill which was only at LV1.

I placed her breakfast and sat beside her to feed her, I was not that affected by my parent's death as I only know them from memory or because my predecessor was not that affectionate towards his parent, which is kind of sad. She was still in a daze and showed no reaction to the aroma that the sandwich is emitting. I moved closed to her and hugged her, feeling the warmth of the embrace she let go of her emotions and cried for a while, I did not say anything just kept her in my embrace. I urged her to eat by saying that our parents would be sad if they saw her not taking care of herself. I picked a piece of sandwich and placed it near her mouth, it was now that she noticed the aroma of the food, as soon as the food entered her mouth she felt all emotions that the cook had during cooking it. Love, care, and warmth of family noticed by Nephthys.

She was shocked by the taste and was more shocked that Ares cooked it.

While she was in a daze and savoring the flavor of the sandwich, I slowly took her free hand and sat on one knee I said with my utmost sincerity,

Nephthys mood changed from gloomy to bright, she said,

"I do", and bent down her head to hide her embarrassment.

After confirmation, I took Wife Subsystem rings and slid one of them down on her ring finger, and put one of them in her hand so that she could do the same to me. As soon as the process is done a bright light engulfed both of us and a connection can be felt between both of us.

I took the eye drop and asked Nephthys her open her eyes wide open. I put one drop in each of her eyes.

Nephthys could feel her eyes warming and slowly and slowly darkness before her eyes were fading and after a few seconds she could see a face, love, and care can be seen in the eyes of that face.

" Nephthys can you see me" a familiar voice came out from the mouth of that face.

"Is that you Ares?" Nephthys asked although she could not guess if his face was handsome as it was the first face she saw in her life but was embarrassed after she felt the love from the eyes of that face.

"Yes, you did not recognize your husband it makes me sad" a trace of sadness can be seen on his face as he said that.

Nephthys panicked but then she noticed a sly smile on his face, which made it obvious that he was teasing her.

She was about to say something when suddenly she heard a sound in her head

After checking rewards, they both chatted about how Ares got his system, for which he gave a cliche story that some Old Man gave him a ring which he wore and got the system as he cannot say about reincarnation, as he did not want Nephthys to know her whole family is dead. Ares was also shocked to know about the Assassination technique and system mission, he first rejected but Nephthys gave the same explanation given by the system to her, then he reluctantly agreed with a condition not to overdo things. He then took her to the garden, the scenery full of colors and beautiful flowers, bright sun rays, and the blue sky fascinated Nephthys. She acted like a child asking, touching, and sometimes sitting with Ares in peace to enjoy the scenery.
