Oliver's (Owen's) POV
What do you think, Owen? Are you willing to bargain?" Amber's voice was laced with mischief, her eyes gleaming like she knew the answer. There was something unsettling about the way she smiled—confident, dangerous as if she was toying with us.
I hesitated, my jaw tightening. The truth was, I didn't know what she was truly capable of—only what I'd heard from whispers among her pack. Dark rumors, stories laced with fear… and how Darren—Owen's Beta—kept glancing at her with barely concealed worry only confirmed that this woman was powerful. Dangerous.
Yet I stood before her, wearing my brother's face… and name.
"Okay," I finally said, forcing the word out as if it physically pained me. There was no victory in my voice—only defeat. I wanted to say no, fight back, and make her pay for what she did. Victoria didn't deserve what happened to her, and every part of me screamed for justice… but I couldn't risk it. Not now.
